Houdini deck, a trick from Stephane Jardonnet.
The magician shows a deck of cards to the audience and asks a spectator to choose a card and put it back into the deck; the deck is then blocked with thumbcuffs and given to the spectator. With big surprise of the audience, the chosen card will disappear from the deck and reappear mysteriously inside the magician's pocket.

I was not happy with the manufacturing. Without giving away the secret, other types of trick which use similar techniques are easier to use. It is also very clumsy to get the small handcuffs onto the deck. I will use a lock instead. Otherwise, I will make it work. It is a strong affect, especially combined with other tricks to reveal the missing selected card. I use this trick all the time within professional settings. It is easy, dependable, and failproof.

Vernon asks: Years ago there was a trick sold called a locked deck that used a normal paddle lock. Is this the same trick but using thumb cuffs?
