This new, over-size book was triggered by the discovery of more than 160 long-lost photographs of Dai Vernon's hands that were taken in 1961 specifically to illustrate this manuscript. It is as close as you will ever get to a personal session with the Professor.

Wow I have a few annotated Expert at the Card table books but this takes the cake. The photos are very helpful and really makes it much easier to consume this piece of card magic bible history. It's a beautiful book wonderfully written and the production values are top notch!
Rating Excellant Plus. I have not read the entire book, far from it. For me it is a slow read, because there is so much to take in. A great insight to the workings of a great mind. Talk about detail, it's here. For you younger folks who never got to see or talk with him, Read this book, learn about the man and why he was so respected. For the rest of you this will help you better understand him and his attention to the smallest detail. A library is incomplete without this book.
