A truly collectable item. This prop will most certainly add a curiosity factor to your existing chop cup routine.

"The origins of the items cannot be confirmed but is said that this cup is carved from the charred bones of Agnes Carter. Nicknamed 'Lady Death'. Agnes was accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake for reportedly being in league with Satan. Some say that the cup still contains her malevolent spirit."

The cousin of the standard Cups and Balls, Chop Cup routines are performed with just one cup, and the mechanical construction of the cup allows you to perform varied effects, visual penetrations, productions and vanishes of a ball from under the cup in a simpler yet very effective way.

The gimmicked cup has a magnet inside and when a magnetic ball is used, the ball will stick inside to the top until the cup is set down with a little bump to the table, which releases the ball. Used to show no ball beneath the cup, with a magical appearance of the ball at will when the cup is lifted after the 'bump'.

This skull-laced set is perfect for any performer who likes to delve into the more gothic performance style.

Package includes:

  • Sea of Skulls Chop Cup
  • Black carry pouch (approx 20cm x 15cm)
  • 1 'chopped' ball
  • 1 regular ball

The cups are approximately 8.5cm high and 6.5cm in diameter, and the balls 2cm in diameter.

I love the design of this cup . It is solid and beautifully crafted. The balls are also nicely designed. One issue that I have however is that the magnet is too strong. It takes quite a bit of force for the production. I can't do my usually chop cup and the production is a bit unnatural. Maybe it just needs a little time but otherwise you will need to work out the kinks for this prop.

  • Stephen asks: I have had a problem getting the gimmicked ball to "disengage". It takes a lot of force and looks suspicious. Anyone have any solutions?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: If you put the cup down at an angle, that will knock the ball out easily almost every time.
