At first I didn't liked this shell. The head details have the appearance of a soft morgan dollar, but the tone of the coin looks something in between a bright and a soft Morgan. It's too polished for an aged soft and not bright enough for an uncirculated. While its quality is good, it will clearly stand-out from the other coins you may own.

BUT, If you own aged Morgans with darker tones you can always bleach and sand the shell. I must admit that mine turned out great and it's now indistinguishable from the others . So I'm changing my rating from 3 to 4.

In general you're probably better off buying a set that comes with a matching shell, but if you don't have other options, this could do the trick for you, especially if you own aged coins and plan to bleach it (or you could just bleached them all)
