This fits in your wallet, it's almost painfully easy to do, it's unusual, and it's devestatingly clever.

You will have seen Stroop tests on the internet. It's where a color is written as a word in an color that isn't the color's name. Writing "red" for example, but the font is green. "Chroma" is a killer trick that's disguised as a Stroop test.

You ask your spectator to think of a color, and you time how quickly they can find that color on your Stroop test card (which is the size of a credit card and fits in your wallet).

Without them saying a thing, you know what work they're thinking of.

There is a little bit of memory work involved, but it's not at all hard and is taught in detail. Once you know it, you'll know it forever.

Chroma is an easy way to get information from the spectator. As with most mentalism, getting the first bit of information is easy; the rest depends on your performance ability.

This pairs well with previous work released from Mark Lemon and Pete Turner's collaborations. Definitely worth the price of admission for the ideas and “gimmick”

Not only is the Chroma effect amazing as a stand-alone, it also opens up a stealthily creative approach that can be applied to most mentalism acts. In addition, the support from both Vanishing Inc and Mark Lemon himself has been amazing...I had a question about a component of the effect and got responses within the hour.

Here is the thing. The Chroma trick and the card provided is extremely clever, well thought out and works. My only complaint is that the colors could have been printed better or in a different color that differentiates them a bit more, such as the red looking a bit orange and the black and blue looking similar in dimmer lighting.
The method is solid, straight forward and well thought out.
HOWEVER
There is a routine taught in this DVD that is worth the price of the whole trick alone. It is something you will utilize for other tricks and routines that is very clever. Just get the video, watch it, and you'll know when you see it.

Like, I suspect, many others I had a good idea of how this worked (from an old magazine article as it happens) but the crowd in the pub will have no idea and find it fascinating. While I hate the expression 'easy carry', it is indeed that with just one credit card sized insertion in the wallet or pocket. My one concern? - the choice of colours used. Even without being colour blind, some will have trouble distinguishing the blue from the black and I'm afraid its not until the trick goes wrong that you'll find out. A bit of audience management is definitely necessary.

Such a simple, yet totally fooling, implementation of a well-known principle. Yes, there is a very small calculation involved which is easily remembered, but I love the way that this can be incorporated into other mentalism principles, such as drawing duplication. So many ideas and approaches presented! This isn't a 'one-off' concept - it integrates so well into other routines. An incredibly versatile tool.

Love this effect and it’s definitely being added to my EDC wallet along other pack-small play-big EDC effects.

The method, once you learn it, you’ll never forget it (plus there are aids built right into the card) and the presentation in itself, around a real cognitive test, give you plenty of material to work with to get a very engaged audience.

A very good EDC I keep my in my wallet and always ready to go. Super easy to do ! It does take a little practice to get use to the math. With that said it's not hard at all. And several ways you can reveal the color.

Chroma is a great effect to add to my EDC. It is fun to use and a break from showing "another card trick" or when someone say to me "show me a trick." Their reactions have been great.

I carry it in my wallet all the time simple to do a little memory work but nothing taxing. I love these kinds of effects, cause they’re offbeat and they look so ordinary that no one thinks it’s “a magic trick“
