The Ever Free Tongbao

This set includes two effects by Raymond Long.

Your participant ties the red string and around the Chinese brush and Chinese coin and pulls it tight, confirming that everything is firmly locked in place and cannot be separated. In an instant, you cause the Chinese coin to break free from the string, creating a striking visual penetration.

Or, you have your participant hold a large Chinese coin threaded with a red string. Two small Chinese coins are fixed to both ends of the string, making it impossible for them to pass through the hole of the large coin. You pull both ends of the string, and despite everything seeming fairly locked in place, the red string instantly penetrates the round hole of the Chinese coin.

Throughout both routines, everything can be fully examined by the audience.
