Paul Wilson explains two methods to achieve a classic plot in card magic originally created by Bill Goodwin and later popularized by Ernest Earick. The magician places the Aces face down in four different parts of the deck. In waving the four Kings over the deck they magically transpose --- the Aces are now on top and the Kings in four different parts.

I originally found this plot in Ernest Earick's "By Forces Unseen", which I highly recommend, and I loved the effect as well as the method and sleights. The version presented here by Mr. Wilson is even more exciting, as it is an easier and more streamlined handling. Absolutely worth your money. The effect is clean, visual, and impressive! Another winner from Mr. Wilson.

This trick is very visual and seemingly impossible to the spectator They actually SEE the 4 aces being placed into the deck in separate locations. When they magically and visually and suddenly appear the reaction is very rewarding. The cover pass is the only sleight that will require some practice but if you can do a classic pass you can easily master the cover pass.

The effect is pretty good as you can see in the trailer. I would give 5 points to the method and for the fact that he even shares a second variation. I would have appreciated if he had given more information about the history of the plot.

A really tight routine by one of today’s best. You’d be silly not to dip your toe into these waters…
