King Brand

For a decade now, King Brand has been a favorite trick of ours. Visually dynamic, the effect couldn't be simpler: The deck is removed and only four cards are presented, the two red Kings and and the two black fours. With one pair sandwiched between the other, they visually trade places under impossible conditions. The plot builds in three phases with the final transposition happening in a spectator's own hand.
King Brand was originally published in Issue One of The Penumbra magazine in 2002.
In honor of the 10 year anniversary of The Penumbra magazine, we're privileged to present this effect published in the first issue.Customer reviews for King Brand
It's not a particularly hard trick to do and with Bill Goodwin's teaching you'll be mastering this trick in a couple of weeks to a month. Bill is even nice enough to teach us a great clean-up after you've done the effect, only adding to the impossibility of the effect, allowing your spectators to hold the four cards in their hands and see for themselves that you used no more than 4 cards.
Truly amazing.
This is a very tricky routine, but easy enough to master with practice. I think Bill Goodwin is always great, and this is one of my very favorite effects that he teaches.
This is another great peice of close up card magic by bill goodwin, from his video productions, his teaching methods, including credits, and history on some of the moves, followed by a full performance, this guy is just outstanding.
