The haunted deck is a staple for many magicians and Static is not only self-working but also self-contained, deceptive and allows for the deck to be handled as normal!

With the spectator's finger touching the top of the deck, the deck slowly splits ITSELF in half. With a delicate touch, their chosen card SHOOTS out of the pack. The deck is completely examinable before and after the effect. They will find nothing; they will have no explanation.

Often the most powerful magic is the simplest. STATIC is a tribute to that fact. The spectator places their OWN finger on top of the deck, slowly moves it to the side, and half of the pack moves along with it. Magic does not get much more interactive than that.

Easy to learn, simple to perform - this is one of those few effects that allows you to focus on your presentation and performance, rather than the technique. You can create your own variations - the possibilities are endless.

This trick uses a gimmick, but this gimmick is well hidden in the deck and no one will notice it. So, you could just leave the gimmick there and do any other tricks with the deck normally. If you have the gimmick in the deck, you could do the trick anytime, anywhere.



The gimmick is easy to make, you could make several of them and leave it in every deck you have in order to be prepared for the trick all time.



The method is easy, it's almost a self working trick once you have the gimmick.

I love this effect. It's so simple yet sooo visual! You practicly don't have to do ANYTHING. The gimmick will do all the work for you. The only minus I found (and that's why I gave it only 4 stars) is the fact that when someone takes the deck for a closer inpection, they may find the gimmick, so it's not that clean at the end. But honestly, I've never got caught performing this trick, and I don't think it's a thing you'd have to worry about. So with a little presentation, it can be one of your strongest effects! Definitely worth buying.

Static is really awesome. It's super easy to do and really surprises people. The great thing is that you can hand the deck to people and they won't notice a thing. (Just don't let them take it home.) The gimmick is a little hard to make, and has to be replaced periodically or it will break, but you get a ton of the gimmick so it will last forever.



An awesome casual trick that is fast and simple. I recommend it!

Static. Just one of the most simplest card tricks I have ever witnessed. There has never been a trick that is this interactive and still stunning in the magic community. All you need is a deck and a very simple gimmick that comes included with the price of the trick. Although the gimmick is self-explainable, if you ever lose all your gimmicks and want to make a new one, that will be pretty tricky. So, if you purchase this trick. I'd advise you to be careful with every gimmick that you come in contact with. The gimmick is camouflaged very descretely, so you will have no problem hiding it throughout your routine and your deck. Even upon inspection, your spectator will not find the gimmick, because practically, they don't know what they're looking for. Nothing gets more interactive than this. If you don't have Static, what are you waiting for, get it now!

Static is very easy to perform once the gimmick is done. This trick is genius as it is very visual and very powerful if performed correctly. This Collection teaches you how to construct the gimmick and how to use it. This Collection also includes an alternate approach which helps a lot on the right performance. This trick is highly reccomended for those who are new to making gimmicks. This Collection comes with the gimmick so you are secure to have all the supplies you need to be able to perform Static.

I've just received my copy of this amazing self working trick, the gimmick is well hidden and I've performed this trick several times to the same spectators and still cant figure out how I do it.

I hate gaff card routines. I always live in fear I'll get caught. Even so, this one is so subtle it just blows past people even if they are inspecting the deck. Also, its only one "trick" card, so its easy to palm off and ditch to end up completely clean for further effects.



Very versatile - I use it as a potent visual in my ambitious card routine. Separating the top of the deck into a separate pile, the selected card is put back in the bottom half. Placing the two piles just right on the table allows the shot out card to land on the other pile (the top of the deck). Best of all, once you start, everything happens in the spectator's hands.

Ghost trick, just follow the video instructions, it is a very easy gimmick to make yourself, this ghost trick method is simple but effective.

Positives:
- It uses a very easy to make gimmick (took me 2 minutes to make)
-It is very easy to do
-It looks AWESOME
- The instructions are really great
-You can bring the gimmick in and out easily, or even keep it in the deck for most routines untill you want to do it.

Negatives:
-The gimmick could break with time, but again, you can make a new one in minutes.

Fantastic. I already have the "Static Marker," and for sure, I'll use this effect with it. I finally have the perfect trick to go with the Static Marker. But even without that, it's still awesome on it's own. I love this gimmick and I'll definitely use it. Thanks!

I've never in a review said that a trick is a must but... THIS IS A MUST! I just got this on the summer sale and am wondering how in the world I have missed this trick for so long. The gimmick is so subtle you can keep it in your everyday deck of cards and it wont be affected by shuffles or anything, it's just waiting for you to need to use it. I love this and will be using it all the time!!!

A good video of a creation by Dave and also French magician Damien Vappereau. The gimmick used is easy to build, with fairly standard equipment that's easy to find. The effect is impressive, and it doesn't necessarily work as you might think at first. The video explanation is short, but it provides the basics. It's then up to you to adapt things and use the gimmick differently if you want a different effect. I think the video has the merit of rehabilitating an old creation that's a bit forgotten and whose true creator is hard to identify (as the video says). Buying this video is not a waste of money.

A super curious and different trick that will surely surprise the audience. An invisible gimmick (the spectator can examine the deck and the magician can shuffle without fear), super easy to produce (you can literally build it in less than 3 minutes), which offers a great and very attractive effect. Fresh air in the typical card routines. A kind of flourish with which to accompany the effects of card divination or transpositions. Even beginners will be able to make and use this gimmick from day one. Highly recommended.

    • 2. Garry responds:The video tutorial explains everything you need to no on how to perform this trick, and how to make the gimmick, its so easy perform and to make. Al you need is a normal deck of playing cards. The other two bits you can get from, either your local fabrick store, or online, costs probably a quid or two, if you havent allready got these two items.
