The Card and Hat

This effect might not be effective at fooling magicians, but it will be one of the most memorable moments for laymen. It is beautifully crafted, cheap, and well taught with great video quality. What's there not to like?

This is also one of my fav tricks from EATCT, so its really pleasant to see this being pulled off with such class and elegance. Great tutorial as well. A check in my book.

Well explained, short video. Don't expect too many details on the sleight of hand needed, which makes this not immediately something for beginners. Although I think it's a great trick to utilise sleight of hand, so this download can perfectly serve as a goal for beginners.

Great trick, and totally impromptu to boot. You can perform this card miracle with any borrowed deck and hat. It pays to look in the old books for gems like this one. The magician was thorough and took his time teaching the trick. I can't wait to perform this one.

Whilst this isn't a new trick the instructions are easier to follow than they were in the book. Elliott is a great job at teaching you this trick it's really easy to follow and ask performing it within minutes

Simple but elegant trick utilizing classic sleight of hand. You can use a baseball cap if you prefer. I mainly got this for the technique to load the card underneath the hat. The two moves prior I already knew and it’s best if you know them as well. The video is only 3 minutes and 5 seconds. But I guess that’s really all you need considering it’s not a detailed tutorial on the sleights he uses but rather a video explanation to accompany the written text from the book.

It is a curious routine that combines divination and card transposition. Having mastered a couple of basic techniques, it is not at all difficult to execute and the result is usually quite attractive. The tutorial is simple and simple: three minutes is enough to explain a classic that we all know. Maybe I would have appreciated some variants for different presentations that better cover the angles.
