Fluid. Smooth. Surprising. "Wonder Aces" is just over a minute long, but it is ten years in the making. John Guastaferro (whose debut hit collection One Degree remains one of the most acclaimed Vanishing Inc. books in our history) is back with a sensational new download. "Wonder Aces" combines two older pieces with several brand new insights: the result is a silky smooth Ace routine.

You begin by producing Aces one by one: the first materializes, the second is found reversed in the pack, the third appears in a sandwich, and the fourth is "painted" across your fingers. But then things take off! The pack changes from blue to red, and to conclude, the Aces themselves change from blue to red.

"Wonder Aces" is within the realm of the intermediate performer, and no special cards are required. John G gives clear, step-by-step instructions on how to perform "Wonder Aces," which features his elegant Ballerina Cut.

This routine is worthy of your attention, and it can be performed set to music or performed with a narrative. A bargain at the offered price, add "Wonder Aces" to your repertoire today.

“A visual masterpiece!” Jack Carpenter

“You will be fooled as badly as I was. John G. has constructed a masterpiece of plot, structure, and handling. What a great trick!” John Bannon

“Wonder Aces typifies the work of John Guastaferro - elegant, economical, with one extra surprise you didn’t see coming. Then another one.” David Regal

"This routine displays a wonderful economy in its ratio of method to effect. It is a lovely dance done for the eyes".Stephen Minch

Woo! John G is back! Saw this on FB and wanted to learn. I can do it too! No where near as hard as it looks :D
Noel
Thanks John! Great routine. Having a lot of fun learning it. Very clever and easy to do. The Ballet Cut will take me a bit of practice but it's fun to learn.
Sam
Been a fan of John G since One Degree. So glad that he's releasing material again. This routine is just lovely.
Ed
Wow. Is it just me or is John the smoothest magician there is? Big fan of this. Learning it today. Instructions are clear and most of the routine is pretty easy actually.
Chris
Absolutely love this trick! John's explanation is great, especially his voice is so soothing and made me want to watch and listen over and over again. Definitely 5 star!
Richard
Great trick! Fun to learn and perform. Works great with a Prism Deck.
Roberto
The mechanics of the routine are not that difficult and taught in great details. It's fun to learn and a work of art to perform.
Jeff
Beautiful
Austin
This is a great trick! Its very deceptive and just like other people have said, this is a whole lot easier then it looks! This is almost 100% angle-proof. I would say it can be viewed about 180 degrees around. There could be a possible flash for anyone behind or on the sides.
Christian
What a nice little Routine and an awesome ace production. With a bit of practicing the sleights are really easy to do and the color change of the deck at the end is really a kicker ending. This is a perfect opener for a little ace routine and it has the same great effect for the audience like “all backs” from Alex Elmsley. I recommend it for everyone to put it up to your repertoire, it is worth every pound you will pay for.
Steve
Just a Fantastic routine. Takes some serious practice, but well worth it. John is so smooth in his presentation that he is such a pleasure to watch.

This is brilliant. John comes across as a lovely chap and his teaching style is perfect. I love it. I’ve also just ordered his book One Degree after reading the free sample.
Dalila
more easy then it looked :)

Excellent
Michael
This is a wonderful, really visual routine for finding the four aces with the kicker ending of changing the back color of the entire deck. While the moves are not difficult, it's still challenging to get it as fluent as performed by John Guastaferro.
The instructions are clear and cover all important moves and subtleties. The principles used in this routine can be applied to many tricks.
Hugh
This is a great download. Very easy to follow and makes for a great opening effect. VVanishing inc have good downloads, just hope they keep up the standard into the future.
Michael
WOW! So easy to learn, so powerful an effect on magicians and laymen alike!
Paul
In my opinion, the best colour change routine. I am doing this with the Prism deck for an even more surprising finish! What a great little bit!
Bailey
Honestly, there's not much to say this is just a really pretty effect. The ace production itself is the most elegant one I've seen and the final ending is just so well executed. Well worth the price.
Jennifer
That was absolutely awesome! What a fabulous routine!Beautiful! The guys a genius!
Guy
'Wonder Aces', wow, what a beautiful routine! John is an excellent teacher and teaches Joshua's ideas alongside of his to make up a routine that simply is a joy to watch and big pleasure to learn and practice!!! It's CGI done with a beautiful 'Ballet Cut'! Everything examined at the end!!!
Kurtis
It’s a great routine. Simple and easy to do. Teaching is adequate for the routine.
I like it
Jim
John has put together a great trick. The few sleights in it are not that difficult. The trick has several phases so it takes several times through to memorize it. The ballet cut was new to me but not difficult to become competent.
Pierre
Very good trick !
Lewis
Great stuff. I loved learning about the extra pocket created in a jacket. For me, a working pro, this opening in the lining means one could access ALL the pockets for emergency repair if needed!
Glenn
Love it! Simple to do! Great display.
Seung
A short video. If you've done a gimmick less color changing deck or have the Prism Deck, you know the overall premise and method. However, the misdirection on John's presentation is strong. The magic moment of the ace production and the turning of the deck really sets up the color change. His cut flourish is adds a visual element. Also, look into Ben Earl's work on the Ace Production. A great opener for $10 and if you do other intermediate/advanced card work, his book "One Degree" is also recommended.
Pablo
I love this! So simple and so powerful! Moves are easy to do and makes for a great openers. Learned it and performed it in one day and it was a hit!
Jeff
This is an awesome little routine, and takes a simple 4 ace production and turns it into an actual magic effect. Moves are easy, everything is explained well, and I couldn't be happier with it.
Dan
A wonderful effect. Highly visual, without being difficult. It couldn’t be constructed more efficiently. Great thinking. It reminded me of a Derek Dingle effect that I used to play with many years ago, but this is better.
Garry
This is a great 4 Ace routine, very good video production, a great teacher, he covers all the moves and breaks, it is very easy to follow, and very enjoyable to watch, this routine consists off a two times all 4 Aces reveal, and a killer ending, with a deck colour change.
This is a Really Cool 4 Aces Production.
Scott
Great routine, combining different parts and visuals.
Intermediate level with a fair amount of moving parts to it. Have only recently been watching some of John Guastaferro's magic and have really enjoyed it. All of his work seems to be a keeper. He has trimmed down effects, made them powerful, and worked out all of the kinks. Even purchased one of his older DVD sets because his card magic was so well done. This is a very safe buy.
Gary
John Guastaferro Knocks it out of the park with this excellent routine yet again this is a beautiful routine that starts with a nice ace production and finishes with a color changing deck finale and along with the ballet cut which looks so visual. John's teaching style is so detailed and smooth it makes every move easy to understand so just buy it you will not be disappointed.
Russell
Very nice John G. My go to for years has always been Sleeve Aces by Earl Nelson. Wonder Aces is just as pretty with that extra pizzazz putting it in first place! One Degree is a great book and your continued work on this piece makes it even better. I highly recommend this as a fun opener.
Rick
Absolutely gorgeous routine. Thank you! I think it’s going to take a lot of work to get down, but I really do love this so it’s worth the effort to learn it. Very well done! My only question is, how are the angles?
Sidney
Brilliant. The teaching is first class as with most magic tricks practice makes perfect. I am not a professional magician I just do for friends and family. I showed this trick and the reaction was amazing real magic.
Travis
Excellent!
David
EPIC! I can't wait to perfect this routine. I have always appreciated John's thought process of not only the how but the why.
James
Great card effect. The color change at the end is devastating! It will fry any audience. The first thing viewers will think is that the deck is somehow gimmicked. Then John explains how the deck can be examined. Not only is it an awe-inspiring ace production, the color change is the icing on the cake! It is beautiful sleight-of-hand magic with an ungaffed deck of card. Naturally, anything this good does require disciplined practice, but it is so worth it. I recommend this for any card worker and/or sleight-of-hand performer.
Raymond
I am nor a ace production fan but this is amazing. I have added this to my act and love it.
Simon
I'm really impressed with this trick. There're quite a few stages to it, but none of them are especially complicated and are well within the grasp of anyone who is used to working with cards. 'Wonder Aces' is taught in a very clear and methodical style at just the right pace - no waffle, just the moves and tips. I definitely recommend this - and will be looking out for other John G downloads and tricks.
Tal
Easy to follow instructions and a great opener. There is a little clean-up at the end but nothing serious. Also, the "dirt" left at the end can technically be used as a setup for another effect if you are creative enough.
Joseph
A really fine routine.
Mario
That’s a good deal. Very good sequence, with great effects. I will have to spend some time to practice for me to do it properly.
Burton
Sublime performer
Brian
This is an outstanding routine that isn't crazy hard to to do, you just need to get the right feel for it. Love it
Paul
This beautiful routine by John Guasteferro looks simple and stylish, and whilst it’s not simple, John’s clear and concise teaching style will make any magician want to learn it.
Peter
This does look good. I’ve purchased it in the full knowledge that I may never perform it. I’ve yet to view or download the explanation, but whereas the reveals all look attainable, I’m worried that the end steal - so nicely executed - might defeat me! Never, mind, simply watching how such a talented magician puts it all together will be well worth it. And hats off to Josh and Andi for coming up with the Downloads Of The Day concept. It’s had me look at areas of magic that I would have otherwise passed on. A series of pre-Christmas treats!
Mike
Awesome Card trick producint the 4 aces and color change. The combination of multiple tricks all in one routine is great. Explaination was perfectly taught in a nice pace and not rushed. Perfect card trick to add to your routine.
Robert
Just great! *****
Steve
Beautiful routine. The productions are visually arresting. Good from an angle standpoint and free of knuckle busting moves. Not for a beginner, but easily within the range of an intermediate skill level card worker. The fact that so much happens so quickly is another plus. There are a myriad of great ace productions in the literature. However, don't overlook this one.

Alexei
This is a wonderful routine that requires four (blue) aces and a full (red) deck. The sleights are not very difficult - in addition to 1-2 passes, double lift, and a steal the routine uses a a palming technique at the very end during clean up. The color change at the end of the routine is the icing on the cake and very easy to do. Highly recommended.
Alex
great effect
Dan
Another fantastic routine from John Guastaferro. Beautifully constructed, very surprising, wonderfully fooling. The handling is relatively simple, thus achievable for most decent card handlers, but rewarding and fun to learn.
Michael
I love this routine. It is taught well. It looks amazing and isn't as hard as it looks. The ballet cut is a great little trick within the trick. This is definitely worth it. If you're looking for a trick that looks great and is easy to perform, this is it.
Jeffrey
This is awesome, Nice work, Pretty fun to do and show, and Well worth learning, THANKS VANISHING INK.
Laura Bautista
It's a beautiful ace production routine! I love it! The ballet cut is perhaps quite difficult to perform but it is certainly worth practicing until you achieve it. The effect produced by the sudden color change when you think the trick is over is brutal! There are some subtleties and somewhat advanced sleights of hand but actually the production of the aces is one of the simplest and most effective I have seen. It's really worth it!
tom
I am not really a card person, but this definitely appeals. It is not your usual "Pick a card" thing. It's very visual and just keeps building. Everything you need to know is well explained. There are definitely moves to learn and some practice required, but personally I love that process of learning and will certainly be putting some time into this one.
Alastair
This is a superb trick, expertly performed and very clearly explained. John has a very easy style which puts you at ease and brings his explanations to life. He is very encouraging and the methods he uses for the trick are brilliantly clear and seem obvious once you know! There is no doubt that practice is required, especially for a novice like me, but you couldn't wish for a better teacher. You will love this.
Larry
WOW!

This is a beautiful 4 ace discovery/color changing deck routine. As a long time 4 ace routine lover/performer, I am stunned by it. The routine, while it looks like a true knuckle-buster, is actually incredibly easy to perform for anyone willing to put in the time to learn the amazingly simple handling and presentation. I am very impressed with the entire routine.

I have already made this my go to routine for a stunning opener! The once blue back deck becomes a complete red back deck, ready for whatever follow up effects you want to present. Thank you for sharing, John!
Joe
Lovely. Several moments of beauty and surprise. Requires a few sleights, but nothing knuckle-busting.
Carlo
This is my new opener and it’s perfect! In the past, I’ve always gotten great reactions with triumph and color-changing deck. THIS IS THE PERFECT COMBO! I loved the premise so much that even after realizing it’s not really a “magician-fooler” AFTER THREE replays, I don’t regret getting this! There are more subtleties and techniques shared in this short tutorial. It is recommended for intermediate magicians because there are several sleights that are only briefly discussed. They might not be easy to learn without prior knowledge. Overall, this is great and you won’t regret getting this.
alex
awesome
Jon
Fantastic tutorial, outstanding effect! Will need to practice 1-2 skills but I learned a completely new effect, thank you!
Marshall
When is this guy going to disappoint me, never I guess. Lol. Thanks again John for passing on another one of your treasures.
Kane
This one was surprisingly very fun! I appreciated the teaching as it was calm, concise, and thorough. The moves are manageable to learn, and I think if you’re a move monkey you’ll have fun with this too. I was honestly surprised at the color change and think it’s a great kicker. Great download
tony
Great pocket trick .
Eric
Beautiful presentation, with clear patient instructions. But you have to practice!
Rui
Great effect, well taught.
Alexandru-Traian
This is such a beautifful effect, very easy to learn. It can be very easy to learn even for a beginner and if done correctly can easily fool even a pro or experienced magician, enspecially if you give some of your personality to the routine. The explanation is also made very well and in depth so that anyone can understand how to perform this effect with some practice. This will definetly improve your magic! I think it is an amazing in depth lesson worth to invest into, study it, put work into it and have lots of fun with it! Perfect for parlour magic but also close up this routine can be dapted as learned in this download for any style of magic and can be performed anywhere, just needs some small set up after performing it once, but it should not take to long and you re good to go to perform it again to a new group of peope at the table or what so ever. I cant say it enough just have fun with it, study it, make it yours and nothing should stay in your way to learn this awesome routine and perform it as a pro.
Octavio
Eye candy! The routine is like a delicate dance in which the finale will blow the audience's minds!!!
Laurence
Wonder Aces is a lovely card routine with an insanely good visual change. If you do anything with the four Aces this is definitely worth having a look at.

There's a couple of moves in here that once you've committed the time to learning are great to have in your reportoire.
Anthony
Very good trick love it!
Cherylynn
great video, really liked the trick and am planning to incorporate this into my routines. the quality of the video and descriptions was very amazing as i have never seen a vide from this person before... really surpassed all of my expectations when coming into this. One part of this trick took me a while to get the hand of but everything else was relatively simple to do consistently after a bit of practice. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a really nice trick at a relatively cheap price.
Ming Chieh
excellent routine
Json
I really enjoyed learning this routine! So many new moves to learn and master, quite challenging yet fun to practice. It may take a few days to get all the steps together, then work them smoothly, but it is truly worth the effort. This is a beautiful routine with frequent surprises and ends with a couple of neat kickers.
I would recommend this for intermediate card enthusiasts or an upper beginner who is looking for something to raise them up to the next level. This can be done on camera, in person, even filmed to be projective to a larger audience. A good finale, or something to change the mood or fill a big chunk in the middle of your routine.
Not just a performance piece but an impressive exhibition of skill and style. You will really enjoy this once it becomes a part of your performance repertoire. Challenge yourself, this will raise your confidence and skill set.
Dan
Excellent routine! John breaks it down and does a great job of thoroughly explaining the steps.
Caleb
This was amazing . Very strong routine..HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Vince
John Guastaferro is a master of close up and parlour magic. This is the best so far. The instructions are excellent as he goes over them very slowly to show the moves. This does require, as all good magic does, some practice. The effect is a stunner for your audiences and one they will remember for a long time. Highly recommended. A+++++++++++
Marc Andre
Magnifique routine avec plusieurs belles surprises qui maintiennent l'intérêt du spectateur avec une superbe finale qui les laissera bouche bée ! À vos cartes !!!
Bill
if not the best...then at at least ONE of the best routines I have ever seen
Will
I really like this routine. It’s so visual, and needs so little in terms of explanation, the magic just happens. The colour changing deck aspect is so cool! It requires a bit more from you technically, but I reckon the pay off will be worth it. It is also really handy that it is all done with regular cards. I’m looking forward to practicing this one for sure.
Henry
John is a great teacher of great magic. This is a wonderful 4 Ace effect!
Jeff
Johnny G.. Aces. Do you have to think about it?
Dustin
John does a great job of teaching this trick as well as providing insight into its evolution. The trick is fairly simple as far as sleights go, but very visual and beautifully composed. Anyone who wants to add an elegant bit of magic to their card set or pick up a trick to have ready for random requests in a coffee shop would do well to learn Wonder Aces. It's a great introduction to John's fantastic body of work.
Christian
This is a superb routine. It's a great opener which establishes that you're a skillful and stylish performer, and leaves you with a clean deck ready to do whatever you're going to do next - with the aces in play if you need them. I found this quick to learn, but took me a lot of work before I was really ready to perform it for the public. The moves are no worries at all, but you do need to be able to handle cards well so you don't flash anything as you perform it. This will be zero problem for anyone with decent experience.
There is a little cleanup to do at the end but it's no problem whatsoever. I simply pick up the card box and put it in my pocket, along with the evidence, and then do... another John Guastaferro routine!!
Tony
Such a clean and powerful routine!
Jim
Fantastic routine and E Z to master !!!
The color change of the whole deck will blow the viewers minds!!!
Highly RECOMMENDED
