You riffle through the playing cards and invite the spectator to stop you whenever they'd like. They remember the card at this position. Without any weird moves, the deck then turns completely blank. This isn't a rough and smooth concept, so the deck could even be dealt to the table one card at a time if you'd like.

You then slowly reach an empty hand into your pocket (or any other location you'd like) and product the selected card.

This is a great effect, similar to Get Sharky but of course with a different payoff. I find it's most effective when shown AFTER Get Sharky; I'll perform Sharky and then put the deck in pocket, then "Oh, wait, I forgot the most amazing part" and pull out Blank Thoughts like it's the same deck again. (I'm not yet skilled enough to do a stealth deck switch) Then after they choose a card I can say, "I'm not gonna bother having you look for your card, because of course you know it's not there" and I produce the card. Rather than trying to cut the deck without anyone noticing, my variation is to slip the now "magical" card they chose back into the middle of the deck (from the edge of the deck closest to me of course so as not to snag the gimmick cards as it slides in) and then tell them I'm going to cut the cards (which I do by sliding out the bottom half and sweeping it up quickly so I'm showing the face card, and then slap it atop the other cards) Then I tell them the magic card they chose is now the only card that still has ink, and amaze them with the blank deck in which only their card is "normal". Blank Thoughts is a great trick that you can combine with Get Sharky to make them both more amazing. I totally recommend grabbing it, especially if you already have Get Sharky. If not, get them both; it'll be worth it.

This is a show stopper. This is one of those effects that is simple to perform, and will make you look like a mater magician. This trick gives you the opportunity to add a great story line and the ending is a wow. I performed this effect at many holiday parties to jaw dropping results. A reputation maker. I highly recommend.
