Cold Case

Deck switches made easy. This is the best deck-switching device on the market today.
Gregory Wilson's deck-switching device is so simple in concept and execution that you can tell your audience in advance you're going to switch the deck and they WILL NOT SEE IT. It makes the classics instantly accessible: perfect poker deals, color-changing decks, story packs, new deck order finale and mental miracles. It's an out in the open deck switch, that looks great. If you've seen The Cooler, it's like that - but without the discrepancy.
"This can be done sitting, standing, leaning, with eyes open or closed, drunk or sober, in plain sight yet completely out of sight." Jon Racherbaumer
Best of all, we arm you with a precision crafted gimmick and full streaming instructions that explains TEN original routines, handlings and applications by Gregory Wilson, David Gripenwaldt, Michael Weber, John Kennedy, Justin Miller and Raj Madhok.

If you can’t get your hands on a Vodka gimmick, Cold Case can be used under all same conditions as Vodka and has the added benefit for close up of being slightly more realistic looking.
Does it need to be? No - unless you’re against 5 minutes of arts and crafts, you could create a suitable alternative that could last for a year or more at a fraction of the price.
I think the price fooled me into thinking it would be more than it is. But, no, it is exactly what you imagine it to be after watching the video.

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.
Sebastian asks: Do I need to assemble anything or is it ready to perform as soon as I take it out of the box?
- 1. Jim responds:Other than practice & rehearsal, it is ready to go out of the box.
James asks: Can you use a full deck with this or do you have to remove a few cards to make the switch?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:This is a full deck switch
Glenn asks: Is a left handed version planned? How difficult would it be to convert the gimmick to become left handed?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:There are currently no plans to release a new version of this effect, this couldn’t be changed to a left handed gimmick
Peter asks: Terrible for left-handlers. Will there be a left-handed version? So I purchased mine well in advance of Christmas as a present my wife could give me on the day, only to discover it’s really awkward for left-handlers, (irrespective of what some here might say). I was busy over Christmas and new year. Finally get a chance to give it one more go before deciding to return it - only to discover time has passed and there’s a two month stop on returns! So I’m left with a useless piece of metal. Moral of the story; don’t purchase and then put aside in advance of Christmas! It will now stay wrapped up (in pristine condition), in the hope that a left-handed version is made and Vanishing Inc are generous enough to swap it out for me. I do think the advertising could have been clearer. Even if some can master it, I think the very least would have been a caveat along the lines of “more suitable for right-handlers”.
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:We've not heard many issues between left-handed and right-handed users. The switch will take a bit of practice in either direction. That said, we want to ensure you're taken care of here. Please contact customer support, and we'll be sure to get you squared away!
Peter asks: I’m left-handed and it does not work well at all. It’s a real struggle. I wish I’d know this at the point of purchased. Please could you let me know how I can go about returning it.
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You can learn about setting up a return here at our FAQ page: https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/faqs/can-i-return-a-magic-trick/
Kevin asks: Does this require a deck of 52 cards to be switched to another deck of 52? Would less cards for each deck (like 20) work with the switch?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You can use less cards but the switch becomes a little bit difficult.
Kyenn asks: How durable is the gimmick and what are the angles
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:The angles are really good. Probably a little more than 180 degrees. The gimmick is made of metal and will not break.
Matthew asks: Is this suitable for a beginner? What skill level is required to pull off a deck switch using the device/methods taught?
- 1. James responds:With enough practice and rehearsal, you can learn it.
Michael A asks: I'm left handed...can i still use this?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:It should work well, regardless of your dominant hand.
chris asks: When I receive the cold case gimmick will a blank deck be included in the purshase
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:This is the card case - you do not get a blank deck.
- 2. Kim responds:Yes, no decks come with this, it is a special case that will allow you to switch decks
