A lot of the material has been covered in other releases by Dani. There is some good new stuff but it's not enough to make up for the terrible audio quality. I hate to say it but Dani's accent, combined with the constant clipping audio, just really makes it a chore to follow along with.

Beyond that, he provides lesson after lesson in psychology, misdirection, scripting, and walks you through every move, every gesture, every word of this fabulous, fooling routine. Another great thing about this download is that there are no hard, knuckle-busting slights. The methods are certainly doable by most amateur card magicians. For the price, this is an incredible deal, because it is really a masterclass in constructing a routine and using psychology and misdirection to create miracle moments of magic! Wow! What a fabulous explanation of the mechanics, the philosophy and the psychology of an 8-10 minutes act. Dani went into an incredible amount of detail to explain this act which is straight out of his working repertoire of tricks. He explains the tricks, but what he also teaches is the thinking behind everything he does and you can use this to improve your own tricks and your own act. This was incredible. It was a steal at $20 as it was on sale, but even at $40 it is an amazing deal. Thank you Dani for your generosity.

It must be said. Every word out of DaOrtiz's mouth is worth enshrining. I hope someday to see Vanishing Inc. publish a compendium of his work along the lines of Paul Harris's Art of Astonishment and Jay Sankey's The Definitive Sankey (a Vanishing Inc. publication). DaOrtiz is a geyser of magical information. I only hope one day to see all that he spouts distilled and bottled for posterity. Vanishing Inc., with Andi and Josh at the helm would seem the ones most qualified to do it, but in any case, it must be done.This, along with everything else by DaOrtiz, is self-recommending for ALL card magicians. Six stars. No, seven.

This is an incredible deal at $40 (let alone at the sale price of $20). First off, Dani doesn't just explain the tricks, he explains the thinking along the way. It is a 10 minute act, but he takes 3 hours to go through every nuance. Some of the tricks have a high skill level and involve some psychological forces that I would argue are more advanced and take a little courage. But others, like the Ritual, are actually relatively easy (and you can make them easier than the version he shows). Given the cost of many single download tricks, and the fact that you get The Ritual, plus all of the other effects, and more importantly the thinking behind the effects, this is a bargain at $40.

I loved Dani daortiz's act on Penn and teller: Fool us, and i loved this download even more. Dani goes into detail, explaining everything he is doing in the act. He talks about his ( almost) fails and how he recovers, and also about when he got lucky. The download is devided into parts. He starts by talking about the basic methods for each trick, then he goes into detail about the moves and psychology he uses, and then he goes over the full act, pausing every few seconds and saying what exactly he does in that moment.

This was a true masterclass from Dani revealing his fool us act there is roughly 3 hours of tuition on this download as well as a full performance and after Dani goes in to great detail about the psychology that makes this act work because you are not getting a routine but a full act and for the price it is a steal and comes with my highest recommendation.

There is no question that Dani is a Master and you learn incredible magic, however the sound quality makes it almost impossible to watch.
With his kind of professionality and the price tag you can expect at least the sound quality of some average you tuber. If you realize that you fucked up the sound and you are not able to recover it, you will have to do it again I guess. Releasing the crappy footage however only because you can not be bothered to get it right and supply your fans with at least decent production value is just taking the piss.

Dani is fooling all of us the same way Slydini fooled everyone in his time. Both masters’ methods are so simple, so different from everyone else’s, and so integrated with their unique personalities, that we mortals have no chance to catch what they are doing. Yet, there is much for us to learn here and much food for thought as to how to use their ideas to strengthen our own magic.

This is a phenomenal download. It’s extremely in depth. Dani breaks down his entire fool us act. Every nuance is taught. The ACAAN which is the main effect was great but I personally loved all the effects leading up to it just as much. Dani breaks down the psychology behind everything he does. Really great.

I NEVER leave reviews, but this is one of the most valuable downloads I've every studied. I've been in awe of Dani DaOrtiz for a long time, but have found it difficult to really understand how he does what he does. Having him walkthrough, in real time, with all the relevant concepts explained, a single routine from a live performance gave me more insight into how Dani works than anything I've studied thus far. This piece of training is truly invaluable.

There is so much involved with this performance. after watching the video it is more impressive on the techniques used by Dani. The way he brakes down and goes over each detail and section of the trick is very clear. However, one issue I had is Dani's audio is a bit crunchy, that is something I have heard in his other videos, and that is the only negative I can see (well hear).

So, when Vanishing Inc. had its download sale, I selected several for which I was waiting to purchase at a later date. The Fool Us performance and explanation was the first I selected.
After watching the video and explanations, I again was astounded, because his methodology was so simple. That's not to say these effects are easy, the methodology is simple. If you wish to make these simple methodologies magical then you need to practice. However, rest assured, these are not knuckle busting sleights.

This is quite possibly the best instructional video I have ever seen. The design of both the routine and the exposition are extraordinary. There is a level of attention to detail in both that I have never seen before. Even if you never actually perform this routine it is worth watching just for the underlying theory. There is something significant happening quite literally every second during the performance, and the video culminates in a second-by-second deconstruction of every beat. Dani DaOrtiz is a true master and after watching almost 4 hours of this illustrated explanatory video, I can only admire his work even more than before. In this video you will find much more than the instructions for a technique or the guide to proceed with the mechanics; beyond this, you will find a psychological and intuition treatise that goes far beyond a mere card trick. It's worth every penny. The audio may be better, his lack of English proficiency may be notable, but there is no doubt that this is a MUST.

This was one of the most mind blowing routines I’ve ever seen when I stumbled across it watching clips from Fool Us. His handling of the cards was impressive, but it’s his ability to control the spectators that was the real miracle. This video shows you the performance, then he goes over the mechanics, and then spends 2 1/2 hours going over the subtleties and nuances (he calls it, “the concepts”). Then we watch the performance again with what amounts to a director’s commentary. I have already watched it several times and know I’ll watch it many, many more. You will too.

This was like a Ted Talk on not just how to perform the amazing routine but how to perform magic. It covered the development of the routine, the execution, audience management and magic theory. It was presented so clearly with different sections that focused on each aspect in isolation so you could learn and understand the concepts clearly without being distracted by too much at one time. Then it was all put together with a commentary at the end that intertwined what you learned with the performance. This is what all downloads should be. Dani really shows not only his mastery of magic but his respect for the magician and student that will pay to learn from him.

Obviously Dani is a genius and all of his material is worthy of careful study. I have both of his EMC collections as well as a number of his other projects, and this is the best because of the clarity of instruction and organization of the video. As is usually the case with Dani's stuff, you learn a bunch of hidden bonus tricks while he is explaining different concepts or moments, because he shows the technique or theory in a different context to help clarify the idea. The combination of attention direction, psychology, routine and performance structure, and methods that this video covers is so thorough and so unbelievably useful that it will likely influence and improve any other card trick that you do. The act and routines themselves are incredible, of course, and explained in exhaustive detail so that it is easy to process what is going on. Dani's ability as a magician has never been in question, but his ability as a teacher continues to improve, to the incredible benefit of the entire magic community. The organization of this into distinct techniques and sections, preceded by a broad overview of the core methodology, makes it easy to fit the theory and subtleties into the context of the effect, as well as adding them to your larger toolkit because they are explained beyond the context of only this routine. It would be helpful if the different theoretical concepts were individually timestamped, as opposed to the whole section, but this is the kind of video that you should probably just have playing on a loop. Incredible effects and methods, clear and comprehensive instruction, and so much that you can use beyond simply doing these tricks...definitely essential viewing for anyone serious about their craft as a magician.

Just wow... Every moment of this tutorial is as electric and entertaining as the original performance. While it is hard to believe that anyone who is not Dani would be able to actually pull off this non-stop cascade of miracles, every piece of the tutorial is incredibly valuable and will no doubt help even a complete novice understand how magic on this level can be achieved. While I can't see myself ever actually performing this act as-is, it is an incredibly worthwhile download. highly recommended.

Some may wonder if this act can only be done with someone with Dani's personality. Well, I took courage and performed Danl's ACAAN (Ritual) for the first time last night and it was a great success. The psychological elements worked perfectly. Dani's performace is at least 200% better than mine, but I will enjoy performing this more and fine-tuning my presentation. I think it is not essential to adopt a super chaotic persona. I focused on conveying an attitude of "I really don't care what you do."

If you are a fan of Dani DaOrtiz or his Fool Us act, this project is a must-have. Even though I grabbed it on sale, the value here easily justifies the full price. Dani goes far beyond simply teaching the steps of the trick. He provides a masterclass on the specific mechanics and psychology that make the effect work; concepts that you can immediately apply to other parts of your magic. It is packed with so much detail that I know I will be rewatching and learning from this for a long time.

The first time I saw this act, I was amazed and laughing non stop. I think Penn and Teller were sincerely fooled as well. I have learned a lot of Dani’s material before, and still had a hard time to follow the techniques behind the effects, because his presentation is so brilliant. I still love watching this from time to time. That is why I finally got the tutorial - The tutorial is great, especially the way it is structured. This is just a small part of Dani’s knowledge and experience- he also refers to his other works. No one can be Dani, but his thinking and techniques can be used and adapted to one’s personal style. I highly recommend this tutorial. You won’t regret it.

This has so many effects in one. The ACAAN is worth at least 40$ by itself. But you also get his view of some subilties and a good couple minutes of magic before the ACAAN. If it can fool penn and teller it can fool anyone. Do yourself a favor and buy it. The only two words you need to hear are Dani Daortiz

Only fault with this download is the lack of organization, particularly from the publishing end. Would have loved to break the video down into smaller parts so I could backtrack easier.

Todd asks: I don't have a question, I have a recommendation to anybody skeptical about buying this DVD. Unless you are really familiar with the style of Lennart Greene and Juan Tamariz you will not be anywhere as mind blowing in your performance as Dani DaOrtiz. Dani happens to be a an artist in their style. They mentored him. Nothing Dani does in his performance is an accident or a mistake. He makes everything look spontaneous. I would recommend buying this even if you are new to card magic just for the education. I would also recommend Rene Lavand's Close-Up Artistry for the same reason. It is absolutely mind blowing to see how these card artists work their miracles. Penn & Teller knew exactly how Dani did what he did. Penn & Teller knew they would look really foolish critiquing a card master the likes of Juan Tamaritz, Lennart Greene, or Rene Levant which Dani is. The reason I feel confident in my recommendation that this is a worthy investment for anybody interested in card magic is because I attended a Dani DaOrtiz lecture where he taught one of his routines like the one featured in this demo. I knew I could never replicate his performance. I could never wow an audience like Dani does. But he pointed out so many useful tips that I could use. You cannot put a price on knowledge like that.
