There is no better way to open a card set or instantly command the attention of an audience than with David Regal’s “Jigsaw Deck”.

You bring out some wooden puzzle pieces and start assembling them in front of the audience. Within just a few seconds, the pieces come together to create a playing card. You seal this completed puzzle inside a box and snap your fingers. The lid is then quickly removed to reveal the puzzle has transformed into a real deck of cards.

These completely normal playing cards can immediately be taken out, fanned, and even given to your audience for shuffling or examination. You won’t find a more novel or memorable way to produce a deck of cards or start your card magic set.

Everything you need to perform “Jigsaw Deck” fits right into your pocket. Since you’re left with a totally normal deck of cards, you can transition right into your favorite card tricks. It's super practical for both hobbyists and pros alike.

“Jigsaw Deck” is so easy to do, its essentially self-working. Just add in your own deck of cards and you’ll be good to go.

You'll receive the specially made puzzle pieces and box (+ optional "Brain Buster" sticker), as well a complete tutorial. The pieces are exceptional quality and feature a authentic red Bicycle Mandolin design. The puzzle itself is also ridiculously simple to complete. With just a few minutes of practice, you’ll be able assemble the puzzle without even needing to think.

This is a great effect. It is very easy to learn. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Performing it is easy. There are no difficult sleights involved. I love this effect and especially appreciate David discussing Plot Misdirection. Thank you once again David Regal and Vanishing Inc.!
John
David Regal always comes up with interesting premises for an effect, and this is no different. I appreciate the added conversation about plot misdirection and how this can make your routines stronger. The Sleight of Hand version is a nice bonus as well.
Kevin
As per usual David Regal never ceases to amaze and impress with his highly creative and fun innovations. I received the Jigsaw Deck today and absolutely love this. It’s an interesting and unique plot that definitely sets the tone for a wildly fun and engaging routine (whichever routine you choose to follow up with this extraordinary opener). I watched the tutorial of the effect before receiving the product and was highly entertained and excited by the possibilities it presents. David is a great teacher whose passion for the work and world of magic is contagious. His tutorial does more than just tell you how to work with the gimmick in a basic handling sense. It allows for a tremendous deep dive into the psychology and philosophy of how important scripting and devising powerful routines is to the magic you choose to present. Thank you again, David, for another creating, once again, another incredible device that the magic world can use to elevate their magic!!!
Peter
Simple and highly effective. David Regal is a consistantly great developer - very entertaining routines with no difficult moves, allowing all effort to go on the great presentations he teaches.
Josh
What more can we say about David Regal?? He consistently delivers real working tricks. Are they the craziest magician fulling effects...no! But who cares. Magic needs to astonish lay people and this does just that. It punches hard and is a perfect segue into any other card trick.
Vince
Another David Regal great effect. So easy to do and just a great way to introduce a deck of cards for an opening of your first (or more) card effects. As always, the video presentation and explanation are perfect and so easy to follow. If you do card magic this should be your opener. Highly recommended. A++++++++++++++++++

Comes in a quality in a quality magnetic closing lid,Nice clean video presentation with Demos and performances with different ideas, which once you no it's then obvious yet worth using them, and very easy to learn, these effective are very simple, this is a great fun puzzle and card magic, clever design using the physics method which makes this work,Just make sure you got a real matching deck of cards to go with this, then your ready to go and to perform using this puzzle deck.
Michael
The color of the card back on the puzzle pieces is way darker than an ordinary red back bicycle deck. Way darker.
James
EXCELLENT! This is just what good magic should be. It's great as an opener for anyone who knows card magic. If I had anything to say otherwise, it would be that I wish there were an option for choosing the card back for the gimmick; it uses the Bicycle Mandolin back.

Outstanding

Mr. Regal always delivers. This is the perfect opener! I am taking the obvious directions of talking about how some people see magic as a puzzle.
SB
As a beginner I can’t wait to do this at my work, its amazing how a little magic changes things in a doctors office
James
Great effect and clever idea. I'm glad David includes a sleight-of-hand method as a bonus because that's the version I'm using. If you use that method the spectators can open the box themselves to discover and remove the cards inside!
Dirk
great trick, the material is fine, easy to learn and to do - thanks a lot
Martin
The Jigsaw Deck by David Regal is a fun and fooling effect to begin a card set. The puzzle pieces are made of wood and look great and easy to assemble. Strong surprise and impact factors as the puzzle becomes a real deck of cards. Instruction video is clear and complete with alternate approaches being shared. My only minor disappointment is not having a choice of puzzle colors. Unless you find a motivation as to why the red puzzle turns into, for example, a blue deck, red decks are necessary. However, using the new Particle Deck which is red back, it creates a perfect transition.
Eric
A very nice effect that is well taught. The props are well made and the packaging is excellent. The off colour of the Jigsaw puzzle does not seem to be an issue as the audience focus is on the appearance of the real deck. Reset is immediate and pocket space is just what’s required for a little larger than deck size box. Very pleased with my purchase.
Gregg
Simple effect that is well made and easy to use. It takes up the same space as a deck of cards. Because it allows the production of a deck of cards it is a great opener with a real wow factor. Video instructions are clear and easy to follow The key is to develop a good story that suits your own style. Suitable for any level magician.
David
Unusable because the deck picture on the puzzle is way too dark. The switch is instantly obvious unless you take a REALLY long time to bring out the real deck. I've been trying to find a deck that matches the puzzle with no success.
Lucas
Very simple and fun premise to start your card routines. Everything is very well made and it can last a long time. Stickers are provided also for you to customise your box. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an opener.

Yes, it’s an excellent prop. Yes, it’s a good trick. Yes, the tutorial is very good. In fact I agree with all the plus points above but—!—The shade of the red back Mandolin jigsaw card is clearly darker than, say, a red back bicycle deck. Now before you jump all over me, let me ask you this. Would you produce a blue back deck from the gimmick. I’m guessing you will say no. If not, why not? My comment about the darker shade is due to exactly the same reasoning. Another example, David, shows an excellent sleight of hand version, suggesting, for eg, that you could introduce a gimmicked deck with this prop. However, you can’t give the impression that a jigsaw puzzle / card has transformed into an actual deck if the two colours / shades are different. And, how many of us in the UK have a gimmicked Mandolin deck? Why has it been made with a Mandolin design in any event? Look, it’s an excellent prop which I will definitely use but I’m seriously considering cutting out a thin (red back bicycle) card to stick on top of the darker Mandolin card/puzzle. The different design will fly passed a muggle. I’m less convinced that a different shade of card will.
Octavio
This a simple and great trick that starts off innocent and just when think it's done, "wham!" You hooked them with a transition without them expecting it.

I highly recommend this!

Who doesn’t love David Regal?
Just got his Jigsaw Deck and am so anxious to put it to use.
It’s easy to tell he put a lot of effort in to the effect, and it is well worth the investment!
Give it a go! It is a real visual and self-working!
Ron
Jigsaw Deck is a very clever and entertaining effect. It is a high quality product and comes with with a great video. High recommended.
Steve
I absolutely love this effect except for one thing. The walls on the bottom box needed to be made 1/16" higher because the top card of the deck slides out 99% of the time on the reveal. It even happens when David shows the workings in the tutorial. This distracts a little from the transformation because all eyes go to the card on the table. Is this my chosen card? Wait...did I even choose a card? Unless you lift the lid verrrry slowly holding the box extremely level...which is awkward looking like you're doing something sneaky...the top card invariably slips out. One thing not mentioned is, if you gently squeeze the sides of the lid you can easily remove/show/place it on the table and pick it up at will. You don't need to curl your fingertips under to hold the lid. You definitely should customize the lid because it's a plain plastic box that looks like a prop. Google images of black distressed leather and print and apply for a classy looking lid. Or I scanned the box face of a bicycle deck (the Ace side) and glued that on the lid. I say "I have a puzzle for you. What do you think is inside my card box?" Knowing you're a magician the response will be "A deck of cards." To prevent a smart ass from saying something different, after you ask "What's in my card box?" quickly add "And it's not a rabbit or my beautiful assistant." This should get a chuckle and block any other attempts at a funny answer. Then say "We're both right" and reveal the deck of cards puzzle. Overall a very clever, easy to do trick.
Mitch
I LOVE this trick!! very well explained and quality props.
Vanihing Inc. has done it again...

I bought this for my son's birthday, we both think it's a well made piece of kit . Another David Regal masterpiece, just the prop to start your performance. Excellent product and excellent service from the vanishing Inc team once again. 👌👌

I am going to enjoy putting this into play! The plot is so much fun and playful. I think I’ll let the spectators polar with the puzzle and then ring the deck in at the end to do some card magic. The instructions are clear and the presentation and premise are well done !

David Regal’s Jigsaw Deck is a brilliantly creative take on the classic “restored card” plot, and it's an absolute winner for both close-up and parlor performers. The premise is simple: a spectator selects and signs a card, which is then torn into pieces — only for the pieces to be impossibly reassembled into a complete card with the signature still intact. The kicker? The restored card now looks like it’s made of mismatched jigsaw puzzle pieces, yet it’s still their signed selection. What sets this trick apart is the clever method and strong visual impact. The gimmick is ingeniously constructed, and the quality of the cards ensures durability with repeated use. Regal's teaching is thorough and clear, with multiple handling options that allow you to tailor the routine to your style. This effect elicits strong reactions — it feels personal, impossible, and magical. It does require some practice, especially to manage angles and presentation smoothly, but the payoff is worth it. Ok I have previously bought this from you and love the trick, but have just seen this latest review from (?) that states "The premise is simple: a spectator selects and signs a card, which is then torn into pieces — only for the pieces to be impossibly reassembled into a complete card with the signature still intact. The kicker? Michael
This is my new opener. It is so simple, and you can build a story around it easily, with a great impact. At first, the pieces fit together a little tightly, but working with it loosens them, allowing you to assemble it more quickly. It appears to be a good-quality piece that will last through many performances.
Milo
Simple but great. High quality wood puzzle that makes for an interesting prop and a unique moment of magic. This'll be a great way for me to add a quick moment of magic right at the start of all my close-up shows from now on!
Steven
A clever effect. The instructions take a long time to get to how it works - the designer wants to pass on everything about his coming up with it. The effect would be way better if it could possibly be made in wood instead of black plastic. Instead of having to put decals on the outside to make it look like some puzzle box commercial product, simply making it entirely in nice wood would make it a much classier and believable effect. The squeezing part might have to be figured out but anyway, I wish Regal would find someone to make this into a wooden prop. Something that makes more sense for a magician to use to store cards and a puzzle too.
Richard
A high impact opener with valuable lessons behind the scenes - simple, elegant, practical solutions triumph over complex set-ups; the duration of David’s love for this effect and the iterations required to land the prop as it is today; the power of Plot Misdirection; the contrast of a sleight-of-hand version versus the pure prop version; understanding attention and “where the heat is” at each stage… David packs a lot into 14 very user-friendly minutes, I’ll add this to my repertoire, especially as it has so much more room for creative personalization. It’s no puzzle - buy it.
Ivan
Looks nice and easy. I cannot wait to try it on a real audience. Nice starter for a strolling card magic set whithout resorting to the usual packet tricks (nothing against them, but I have so many in my sets that a bit of variety will be appreciated)
