Lumino

A sell-out at Blackpool, “Lumino” is perhaps one of the strongest memorization routines we’ve ever come across. A deck is examined and shuffled by the spectator. After a few seconds of memorization, you can perfectly deal out the red and black cards. It is clear, direct, and incredibly impressive. Unlike many memorization effects, “Lumino” feels like real memorization without any effort.
With “Lumino”, you can even have a card selected, shuffled into the pack, and then separate the cards into red and black. At first glance, the audience thinks you’ve made a mistake, but it is actually the selection.
After working on memorization effects for a decade, Thomas Badar discovered a devious method that is fooling to magicians and audiences alike. This method allows you to know the next card’s color from a genuinely shuffled deck with no memory, no sleight of hand, and no peeks. Because it resets itself and doesn’t need a table, you can perform “Lumino” anywhere from strolling gigs to formal close-up shows. Best of all, “Lumino” is easy to do and could be performed with under an hour of practice.

Customer reviews for Lumino
However, the basic effect is very easy to do and is a stunner! Well worth the purchase price.
I liked it so much I just ordered another deck..... One for practice & one for performance.....Til now I've never purchased any of Mr. Baders effects but after Lumino I just might change that. I hope you enjoy it this as much as I do.

Simone asks: when eventually the deck wears out, can u make one yourself or are you forced to get a new one?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You would need to purchase a new deck
Stuart asks: Will the gimmick wear out over time/with use?
- 1. Don responds:There is no "gimmick" involved. It's a prepared deck. Subject to use and natural wear, it's the same as any other deck of Bicycles.
- 2. Simone responds:but you can't use any deck i guess
- 3. Roel responds:@simone: no you can't.
Steven asks: Are all the cards the same size , and can the be handed out to be examined?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Yes all the cards are the same size and can be handed out to a spectator, they wouldn’t notice anything
Roel asks: What do you purchase: a deck and some printed instructions?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Correct :) you receive video instructions
Rick asks: What is the skill level? (beginner, intermediate, etc)
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:This is beginner level but will require some practice to get it correctly every time
Octavio asks: Can you use the deck to perform other tricks?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:No this can only perform this effect
Winston asks: Where is the trailer for Lumino?
- 1. Alejandro responds:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8ljL8ksrIw
- 2. Robert responds:I see a question regarding using the deck for additional tricks. It was answered "No". I would DISAGREE with that. I have used the deck for various card tricks. Common sense required as to the type of trick you would do & how the cards are handled. If doing more than a couple additional tricks I would switch the deck out for non-gimmicked one. Simply break up the set with a packet trick and then ring in the regular deck if needed. Just a thought. Have a great day!
Michael asks: Is this a special deck? There is no video so it's hard to tell, but it sounds like you can just take any marked deck and do this effect.
- 1. John responds:Full Performance video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8ljL8ksrIw or Google Lumino magic trick for several videos.
- 2. Skye responds:The magician does not appear to need to sight the backs of the cards. I don’t believe this is a visually marked deck.
- 3. Kevin responds:I saw Thomas perform this to some people at The Session. I do not believe he had all those magicians watching fooled using a marked deck. I thought it was an incredible trick; if it doesn't require the memorization, as they say, it is indeed amazing!
- 4. Craig responds:Yes, it is a special deck. Is it marked? Well ... there are no visible marks you will have to read or spot.
