An astounding routine with an impossible ending that leaves them with a magical souvenir.

“Moser’s Miracle Monte” by Wolfgang Moser is everything you’d want in a card trick. It’s deceptive, shocking, entertaining, and completely angle-proof. And better still, you end with an intriguing and examinable souvenir they’ll cherish forever.

If you’ve ever been interested in the Three Card Monte plot, you won’t find a better option than this. Building on the work of Theodore DeLand, Michael Skinner, Eddie Taytelbaum, and Harry Anderson, “Moser's Miracle Monte” is an astonishing sequence that feels like real magic.

Unlike some other Monte routines, “Moser’s Miracle Monte” does not rely on speed, confusion, or difficult sleight of hand. It is instead a masterclass in thoughtful, intelligent construction that moves along at a steady, methodical pace.

Everyone around you is invited to really lock in and try their best to follow the Ace of Hearts. Yet, despite your efforts to continually increase the odds in their favor, they never can.

The final phase is what truly solidifies “Moser’s Miracle Monte” as a closer-quality effect. To help make things as easy as possible for your audience, you rip off a corner of the “money” card. Yet, somehow, they still can’t follow it.

For years, many magicians considered Michael Skinner’s “Ultimate Three Card Monte” / “Skinner Monte” to be the pinnacle of the plot. “Moser’s Miracle Monte” combines the best elements of that beloved routine with a fun torn corner idea from Harry Anderson. Even better, you now also end completely clean.

Everything is made possible by a deviously simple gimmick that handles most of the hard work. No difficult sleight of hand is required to perform this practical, easy-to-do routine.

“Moser’s Miracle Monte” works well on its own and is also powerful enough to close your set (our cofounders Andi Gladwin and Joshua Jay know from experience). Each set comes with 20 gimmicks, and a detailed instructional video that teaches you everything you need to start performing right away.

Customer reviews for Moser's Miracle Monte

John
I just received my Miracle Monte and this is a must have for anyone, regardless of magic experience. The routine is super clean, no difficult moves at all. In fact the moves are so natural it will feel like and look like you are truly making magic happen. I highly recommend this effect. Vanishing Inc. has a true winner with this one!

I saw the video; had to have it. Received it quickly - thanks.

The DVD instructions are spare but more than sufficient. Took me about an hour to learn the handling. Take some time to write your own script and this will be a KILLER closer for you. I am doing it everywhere - impromptu, at strolling gigs, bar gigs, etc.

It's especially good as an "extra" goody to do for the client after the gig when they give you the check. Even better - do it for the client and their boss!'

My only quibble is that the refills come in pack of 20 but are 10 red and 10 blue backs - wish I could order them in one color.
Marco
Wow. This trick fools everyone I do it to, and I learned it literally in 15 minutes!! He did a very good job explaining the trick, and the gimmick is so cleverly made. Will definitely buy more refills though.

I perform my own version of "Virginia City Shuffle" using either the Ace of Hearts or the Three of Clubs, so I was very excited to see this routine! Have incorporated the routine into my carry everywhere wallet. When I received my package I opened the refill part first. Disappointed to see 10 red and 10 blue in the packet. I don't use blue. Much, much relief when I opened the DVD to find 20 red cards. Hallelujah! Tried to figure out what to do with the blue cards. I did not want to give them to any friend who uses a blue deck as I would have to let them "borrow" the DVD to learn the routine. No way! Came up with an ending for my VCS routine. Triple whammy,… Ace,.. blue back and torn off corner. Now can you follow the money card? Love the routine, love the cards. Wish there was a way to order just red or just blue. As such 9 out of 10. (or ten out of twenty, ha)
Randy
Love it! Love it! love it! Will be performing it again at my next corporate gig this weekend!
David
A great 3 card monte presentation that's easy to do. More magically than using a slight of hand heavy demonstration. My only concern is, is the ending kind of revealing the secret? But I think its great value and I look forward to playing with a new 3 card monte routine.
John
The video tutorial is very clear and all the moves are shown in detail.Lovely routine that involves the audience and feels like real magic. The slow pace allows the audience to follow the moves and not be confused. The ending is very strong because of the visual certainty of the position of the ace which also allows you to finish clean.
Kelvin
I finally was able to use up all my refills for this fantastic trick. It's a classic gimmick used in a completely different way and wish the refills will go back in stock someday.

The last phase where you are doing the 3 card monte with a torn card facedown is pretty hilarious and baffling when you finally turn it over.
Ken
This is an excellent trick. Easy to do. Ends clean.
The reason it loses one star is because it uses the Mandolin back rather than the more ubiquitous Rider back.
The trick comes with lots of the gaff cards that you will tear each time you perform this, in both red and blue backs. But it does NOT include the normal 3C and AH which you will have to supply yourself.
This is a real shame, because I have LOTS of Rider decks, but no Mandolin decks.
And while VI sells BLUE Mandolin decks, NO ONE currently sells RED Mandolin decks.
The best I could do was to buy a "Short" red Mandolin deck, which VI also sells.

This one is one of my favorites, reviewing the explanation is helpful because you pick up on all the little subtleties of the routine you might have skipped over in performing it for folks. This is a really effective method for three card monte.
Michael
This is a great version of the 3-Card Monte trick.
Gary
A really clever and straightforward piece of entertainment. The "moves" are not suspicious, and the entire routine flows logically and cleanly. Simplicity and very entertaining. The tutorial video is effective in conveying what and how to execute the routine....no fillers. I recall watching a street con man in Paris doing a 3 card monte, and ever since then have been fascinated by the premise. This is one of those effects that will go in my stable of "go to" tricks. Well done Wolfgang!
John
I bought this when it was first released and it really is a killer monte. It’s like Ultimate Monte on steroids. So good! I couldn’t recommend it more! Get it, you know it makes sense! I forgot to mention, easy to do.
Jim
This guy is a great instructor. Included everything you need to know and no more. Love this routine!!
Martin
The recent promotion of Moser's Miracle Monte encouraged me to revisit the effect I performed and enjoyed years ago. I’m a big fan of 3-card monte routines and feel fortunate to have found an old supply of refills so I can again perform this very magical and engaging routines, While I am not sure why I ceased performing Miracle Monte, it will again be a feature of my close-up performances.
Rob
It's a great trick that is supplied with 20 gaff cards ready to use. You do have to supply the other two cards and a paper clip. This will mean owning the correct backed cards.
I was a little disappointed that the outer packaging actually showed the face of the card thus giving away the secret. I know one wouldn't show the audience the packaging, it was just my personal feeling that the secret shouldn't be shown on the packaging.
Anyway, I can't wait to try this trick out on an audience.

This is a classic trick made much more interesting and fun by a gimmick and well-taught handling. The main product (distinct from refills) would benefit from the inclusion of the two regular cards needed to perform the trick. Nevertheless, it's obviously simple to take those necessary cards from elsewhere.
Note that the 2025 re-release of this product is Red Bicycle cards, not a mix of red and blue mandolins, as the original. That's simpler, and therefore may be better for most performers.
This is a trick that uses up one card per performance, so refills are recommended, and are available for purchase at Vanishing Inc at the moment (twenty performances for ten dollars).
The video instructions are consice, professional, and enjoyable.
The product would get 5 Stars if it came complete with the necessary ordinary cards. Since most Vanishing Inc customers have many such cards to spare, most should consider this a 5 Star review that simply highlights one shortcoming.
Derek
Only giving 3 starts for a few reasons. First, there are so many 3 card monte versions out there, hard to say one is better than another. Pick one that suits your style. Second, I think the use of two DLs is very weak. It's not going to look good in the hands of most people. And difficult to get away with a DL when there are only three cards, and the whole point of the trick is for people to watch the cards closely. And third, the instruction could be much better. You have to watch closely as he makes adjustments to the cards without calling them out, most likely due to habit. It would help to repeat each move several times to avoid having to endlessly pause and rewind.

Anyway, it's a solid version. You obviously can figure out the gaff involved, and so it's pretty easy to see what's going on from the full demo. If you like the routine, get it!
Udo
Excellent Three card monte, I like this trick, thanks
Ross
This is a nice trick, but it is annoying that the package did not include everything you need, but only the gimmicked cards. So now I have to go hunting for an ungimmicked AH and 3C (and ruin a deck) as well as find the right-sized paperclip which isn't as easy as you'd think. This is thoughtless and not what I expect from Vanishing Inc.
Mark
This one of my first purchases from Vanishinginc back for its first release. This is an excellent effect. A little tip regarding the last piece that is pocketed in performance. Instead of pocketing the corner you can tear it into 3 or 4 pieces you can utilize PH Angel case, or similar switching device. Now the spectators are free to look into the box to discover the corner has changed and because it’s torn into several pieces, you don’t have to worry about it not fitting perfectly on the rest of the card.
Brandon
Great version of this trick. It looks great and is relatively easy to perform. The tearing of the card's corner is a nice touch to an old classic.
Jeff
Been doing the 3 card monte w regular cards,Vernons routine of years ,probably pound for pound the best. Then Skinners, which may go over spectators heads sometimes, but still great. This version of Moser's Monte is just right! The presentation, routine and just how it is constructed is amazing. At first I was not for the corner tear. But when you hear Moser's philosophy behind each phase, it makes total sense. It's not a routine you will learn right away, as the others take time as well. But this is a real world killer. I do it exactly as it was taught. Go for it!
Brett
I absolutely love this trick, Wolfgang's calm voice inflections keep me calm while I go through the frustration of trying to learn this trick. It also motivated me to learn the double turn over move. I give this 5 🌟 's!
Bob
Looking forward to learning this! Was a little disappointed that the non-gimmicked cards were not included.
Russell
One of the best version of the 3 card Monte
Bob
Although I was disappointed that I have to supply two cards that did not come with the effect, I am looking forward to learning this and found the instructions to be clear.
Raciel
There are other montes out there. I love this routine because the cleverness of getting rid of the gimmick you end clean. Other versions dont end clean which is not a huge deal as long there's a good presentation but its a bonus. I had to back track a couple of times on tutorial but its worth it.
