Odd Sandwich

“Odd Sandwich” by Nobuyuki Nojima is a powerfully visual sandwich routine that hits hard from the first phase to the last.

You display two blue-backed Jokers and show them clearly on both sides before placing them on the table.

Next, you introduce a red-backed deck and riffle through the cards, asking your participant to call “stop.” They remember the card they stopped on, and the deck is set aside.

You bring attention back to the two Jokers. You pick them up and once again show them front and back. Then, with a little shake, a red-backed card suddenly appears between them.

You turn it over to reveal their selection.

But it’s not over.

With another shake, the selected card vanishes, leaving only the two Jokers. Both cards are once again displayed cleanly on the front and back.

Finally, you spread the red-backed deck across the table. Their selection is now face-up in the middle of the spread.
