Hot off the success of his five-star Masterclass, Avi Yap is back with a new download.

"A direct and devious move. Avi continues to be a benchmark for what sleight of hand can - and should - be. “ John Galsworthy

"Flipping brilliant." Christian Grace

"If you think some effects are impossible to do, show them to Avi and he's gonna prove you wrong. He is out of this world. The Peregrine Flipover is a prove to this statement. He took my pass and transformed into something really magical!" Daniel Prado

"Got flabbergasted twice: Didn’t think it was real what I was seeing. Then couldn’t believe how approachable the method was.” Bizau Christian

“When I first saw this move all the air left my body, One of the most ninja moves I’ve ever seen” Franco Pascali

You might know Avi Yap from his incredible coin magic, but you may not know that he also has some serious chops with a deck of cards. We are excited to share The Peregrine Flipover: a new tabled reversal that happens during the action of closing a tabled spread. This technique opens up a world of opportunities to create new effects and enhance routines that you already do. It’s designed to feel loose and hands-off.

In this download, Avi teaches the move and its mechanics with multiple camera angles in incredible detail. Along with the mechanics of the move, Avi shares the move’s history, inspiration, as well as three of his favorite routines to get you started.

  • A handling of the Invisible Deck, done from a shuffled deck in use.
  • A fun Sandwich routine that Avi uses to fool magicians.
  • A killer prediction effect that is incredibly deceptive.

“I absolutely love Avi’s magic - it is clean and pure and utterly fooling.” Hector Chadwick

“It’s just flat-out elegant! It’s a graceful solution to a very clumsy problem, well done!” Jeremy Griffith

"Avi has turned something as simple as closing a spread into pure deception. It’s devious, practical and brilliantly taught. WHAAAT!?"Jeremy Tan

Brilliant move - it does require practice to achieve the fluidity you see in the video but it is not a knuckle breaker. When done adequately it is invisible and shocking.
Well worth it.
And Avi has a great instructional video and a great sense of humor.
Ted

Wonderful download! After seeing Avi's masterclass and now this, I predict one day history will show this young man to have become one of the greatest names in modern close up magic.

Peregrine Flip Over by Avi Yap is absolutely brilliant! The handling is smooth, elegant, and feels natural in the hands. The visual impact is stunning, and the practicality makes it a tool you’ll actually use in real performances. This isn’t just a move – it’s a refined piece of thinking that adds real impossibility to your routines. Avi Yap has once again proven his creativity and attention to detail. A must-have for any magician looking to elevate their craft!

Very good and fooling not very hard to do at all with a little practice u can learn a move or slight that will last u a lifetime
Robert
Good instructions easy to understand and interesting routines

An incredible sleight even though I found it almost impossible to learn at first purely because it would have been helpful if Avi pointed out he was left handed at the start rather than casually dropping it in half an hour into the tutorial. Spent almost two hours getting mad at myself for doing what most left handed magicians do and try to flip what we are being shown. Other than that; a great utility sleight if you can master it. Difficulty 5/10 Value as a sleight 8/10

This is a very clever and practical concept that immediately caught my attention. While it requires a little practice and the right knack to perform smoothly, the three effects included in this project are explained in a clear, simple and fun way. What I like most is the versatility – I am certain that many magicians will discover additional creative applications for this utility move beyond the routines taught here.
Ian
I love this! Avi's teaching is as it would be were you at a session with him across the table. The move is a utility, slightly knacky (but not too much so), and should be a part of every magicians' arsenal. Get it, learn it, and you'll find dozens of applications just spring out of your consciousness as you're practicing it.
Christopher
Really nice move and three great effects to use it with. Like most card moves it will take practice but I think once it’s down you’ll find so many ways to use it. I enjoyed the video. Well shot, entertaining to watch and well thought out instruction.
James
This was a very good video. The explanations were very well thought out. The details of the slights were done in a very professional manner. I would have to give Ari two thumbs up for this complete presentation. As a complete beginner this will be a little challenging and will take some time to get it nailed down. Lastly I really like Ari's confidence he displays while showing the slights. Thanks Ari!

First time I ever saw Avi Yapp lecture I became a instant fan of his magic and that has not diminished with this. Its going to take a bit of practice to get this down but most of Avi Yapps stuff is like this but once you have this move down you will have a great utility and tool for your card magic.

The teaching from Avi is fantastic as well and he runs through numerous routines with this utility move.

Daniel
This move is a game changer for the classic invisible card magic. The movement isn't quite so simple, but since Avi is a very good teacher, it's easy to apply with enough practice. This is definitely an investment for any advanced card magicians.

  • John asks: Is this similar to Tom Gagnon’s work on table passes from him books?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:This is a new method and isn’t mentioned in any other projects
  • Julian asks: Where could I get this close-up pad that Avi are using on this project?

    • 1. Jim responds:That looks like a V&B Close-Up Mat - Deluxe. https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic-accessories/deluxe-close-up-mat-vanishing-inc/
  • Gordon asks: So, is the taught in his Masterclass, or not?

    • 1. Avi (creator) responds:This wasnt taught in the masterclass. This is exclusively taught here, released for the first time!
  • Matthew asks: Is this harder if you're left handed and spread right to left?

    • 1. Avi (creator) responds:Hey! This is Avi! Spreading left or right doesn't change the difficulty! Once you understand the mechanics, it’ll be easy!;)
    • 2. Avi (creator) responds:I’m left handed so i spread right to left too!
  • T.J. asks: Does the deck have to be tabled to achieve the move? If yes, is a mat required?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Yes it needs to be tabled, while it is easier on a mat it isn’t required
  • dirk asks: can this effect\process work for "non-standard" card decks such as tarot, Spanish card configurations, Zenner, Loteria cards or similar?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Yes but if the cards are larger it may be abit more difficult to perform
  • Richard asks: How difficult is this sleight? Beginner, intermediate, advanced?

    • 1. Tom responds:Don't know for sure, but in my experience buying magic tricks, I would guess advanced. Because if it were beginner they'd add that info to sell it, e.g. "No knuckle-busting moves!"
    • 2. Adam responds:The previous answer on a question suggests 4/5 in difficulty. As a beginner I believe the move is achievable but will be somewhat knacky initially and so would suggest it's more of a 6/10 with some work put in. That work will be worth it I reckon
    • 3. Adam responds:Sorry, I typed 4/5, I meant 4/10
    • 4. Marc responds:I'm an intermediate level user, and the difficulty level of this move is 7.5/10. The explanation is very detailed, but it will require a lot of work to succeed.
  • Sebastien asks: Hello! From 1 to 10, what is the skill level needed to perform The Peregrine Flipover? Thanks

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:This was around a 4 for me but it will be different for everybody
  • Matthew asks: How long is the download?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Just over 40 minutes long
