Poker Packet Trick

Four eye-popping changes. No sleight of hand.
One of magic's fastest rising stars, William Tyrrell has done it again with this rapid-fire, visual stunner that is easy to do, and a ton of fun to perform.
Don’t let the name fool you. Yes, this is a packet trick. But, unlike other packet tricks, it doesn’t contain any false counts or wonky moves. It’s just pure visual eye candy that’s easy to do and will have everyone’s eyes popping out of their heads.
"Will Tyrrell is a brilliant mind, and if you want to know why without talking to him, just look at the PPT effect." Markobi, FISM Winner
"The Poker Packet Trick is such a phenomenal multiphase visual routine that anyone can do. Will Tyrrell just doesn't freaking miss. PPT is perfection" Erik Casey
First you take an ace and a two. With a quick wave, the ace transforms into a two. A pair of twos is a decent poker hand, but you can do better. So you add in a three and, in the blink of an eye, all the cards turn into threes. This is then quickly repeated with the fours, leaving you with a four of a kind filled with fours.
While a four of a kind will win you most poker hands; you’re a magician, so why stop there? As a stunning finale, you instantly change all of these cards into a royal flush right in front of their eyes.
“Poker Packet Trick” is jaw-dropping magic that doesn’t require any sleight of hand. If you can turn over a card, you can perform this.
You don’t have to add anything or steal anything away. The specially-crafted gimmicked cards handle all the hard work for you. You’re left with just 5 cards in your hand.
- No magnets
- No elastics
- No steals
- No ditches
- Instant reset
“Poker Packet Trick” can be added to any deck you already use or carried separately in your pocket. It’s the perfect everyday carry and the ultimate response for when someone finds out your a magician and makes the tired joke about not wanting to invite you to their poker game.

Customer reviews for Poker Packet Trick
The tutorial is clear and concise and covers everything you need to know to perform this, including the almost instant reset. Will covers how to perform this with a table, doing walk around or even a stand up version. He also includes a handling for performing this in a spectator’s hands, if you choose to be so bold!
The moves are clearly explained and recorded, including the much appreciated over the shoulder view. Will uses descriptive language in his tutorial, like “my left” or “your right”. The moves appear to be not difficult and attainable by a beginner magician.

Now I will have to wait….and wait….and wait ‘till I get mine in the mail!
There are truly no real "slights" involved, no finger-flinging, no arts-and-crafts (it's ready-made), no flaps, folds, elastics, magnets or electronics involved.
And, I learned how do perform it well enough to entertain friends in about 30 minutes.
But, I had a difficult time coming up with "the story" of why I was showing this magical interlude, other than leading into it with, "Hey, wanna see something weird?" I'm kinda known for telling stories illustrated by magic effects.
So, I packed it up and sent it to a magic buddy in Texas for Christmas.
I just bought this wonderful trick and watched the video that I could instantly download, with a very clear explanation from William Tyrrell.
However, while watching it, I noticed the gimmick cards are for right-handed people.
I am left handed and am wondering if a set for left handed people is also available?

No Elmsleys! YAY!
I have nothing against the EC, but it’s refreshing to find a packet trick that doesn’t use it.
It’s exactly as advertised: if you can turn over a card, you can do this effect! And people really seem to like effects where you magically produce a royal flush!
It’s fun and easy, the changes are visually stunning, and you can learn it in an hour!
It’s going right into my show!
I really, really like this one! It’s a keeper!
