It’s important to remind you that our entire Vanishing Inc. team is filled with professional magicians. So, it’s rare that we are truly surprised. However, the “Pop Up Project” elicited quite a few audible gasps when it was first introduced in one of our weekly meetings.

You start by showing a playing card. Then, right in front of the audience’s eyes, a cartoon boat slowly materializes on the back. In the blink of an eye, this image instantly pops off the back of the card and transforms into a 3D ship. You can physically slide this ship off the card and hold it in your hand.

“Pop Up Project” is a truly one-of-a-kind gimmick. It packs two impossible moments into a small portable package. A 2D image seamlessly blends into a 3D visual in a way unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

Each “Pop Up Project” comes ready-to-go out of the box. It can be learned in seconds. The included tutorial teaches you everything you need to know. While this is clearly a can’t-miss effect for anyone who posts magic videos on TikTok or Instagram, you’ll also be happy to know that you’ll even learn a way to swap the boat out for one that can be examined for in-person close-up magic or street magic performances.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When used correctly, the “Pop Up Project” gimmick should last a long time. However, please watch the entire tutorial before attempting to use it. Extra thread is included but should not be required for a long time if performed properly.

A touch finicky..but I do like this. While I think the price point is a touch high...who am I to say what something should cost. It takes a little time when playing around to get the actions just right but persist and it will come. What I would have liked though is a few more of both the boats in the package. I would have paid more if this was so as I can see over time something will go wrong and a wrong move will crush or destroy them. Yes I know you probably can make some ..but arts and crafts are not my strong point. Never the less a nice illusion to play around with and as the video shows it does work this way...well done guys.

Most visual trick I have ever seen. This came in the mail today and I’m beyond astonished with how easy and practical the gimmick is to use with very minimal sleight of hand. It’s actually easier to do than I thought it was going to be. The fact that a gimmick like this has 2 phases for something so visual from a 2d visual effect and then a 3D visual is unprecedented. I knew how the first phase worked when I saw it but the second phase ended up fooling me badly now that I know how it’s done. ?? Amazing job vanishing inc. Keep up the A+ work!!

This is something completely new, not fitting into regular magic tricks genre, like a levitation, disappearance etc. It is astonishing enough when the first boat appears, but shocking when the second suddenly sits there and can be shown separately from the card! It is a little bit delicate, but many good tricks are, so just be careful and you will have fun doing this. There are instructions how to fix it if it breaks, but I hope to never need this. I will warn you though, to make sure that when doing the 2d reveal, you practice carefully not to allow it to get stuck, which depends on how you "bow" the card.
