What Is “Prism Plus”?
“Prism Plus” is a special set that includes a “Prism Deck” and the “Prism Plus Gimmick”.
The “Prism Deck” has been given a facelift with the addition of some new designs and is now printed on USPCCs premium crushed card stock, making the cards a joy to handle.
The star addition though is the handmade “Prism Plus” gimmicked card designed in collaboration with Nicholas Lawrence. This is your key to easily performing an eye-popping, one-handed finale to your color-changing deck routine. It looks like real magic and will even deceive your own eyes.

**Please Note: **You do not need to purchase anything additional to perform The Prism Deck Routine – just use a few cards from any old deck you already own with a design you like. However, if you would like to perform the trick with Phoenix Ace designs (which have larger pips), you will need to purchase an additional Phoenix regular pack. If you wish to do the full eight-minute routine, this requires four red Phoenix Jokers. This means you would need two red (or blue) Phoenix decks.

The "Prism Plus" deck can be used with any deck of cards you normally use. You'll just need to take out any four of a kind and add them to the "Prism" deck and pop them into the card case you normally use and you're good to go.
If you would like to do the routine with the Phoenix playing card Aces, you will need to purchase a regular Phoenix deck.
If you want to do the complete, full, extended, ten minute routine Joshua teaches in the instructions, you'll need four Phoenix Jokers, so would need to purchase two additional Phoenix decks.

If this was 'just' a color changing deck routine it would still be a great value. But it isn't just a color changing deck routine. It's a complete act. Cards transpose, thoughts are read, aces are produced and finally, after 8 minutes of incredibly commercial card magic, the deck, impossibly, changes. It's a stunning ending to a set that NO ONE would see coming. You get a beautifully produced deck and tons of great ideas to help you put together the perfect material for your act. Finally I can get rid of my mutilated parasols closer and do something that people will actually love. Thanks Josh!

This is a fantastic product at a great price. The deck itself is quite attractive, the instruction on the DVD is top-notch, and the featured routines are very strong. All but one of the routines in the main set can be done in the spectator's hands in a walk-around setting without a table. The whole set is modular so you can mix and match, add and subtract to it (and in particular the routine which requires a table can be left out -- though it's a terrific effect). The whole set ends with a color-changing deck finale with an additional kicker that happens in the spectator's hands -- all without a deck switch of any kind. To me what really distinguishes this product, though, are all the extra ideas, alternate handlings, bonus routines, and bonus props which are included. Some of these are really good! This is a great product which beginners and working professionals alike can get a lot out of.

I absolutely love this routine! The deck is well made and Josh's routine is just the type of magic I love VERY well thought out. Audiences love it, and it's even fun to practice. For many years, my closer during walk-around has always been signed card to impossible location; be it wallet, box, shoe...whatever. I searched for other card closers, but to me nothing was nearly as close. Now, I can walk into a gig with 2 completely different top shelf closers. AND, with this one, no losing cards by the end of the night! I love all the little extras hidden in certain cards as well, like the 52 on one gag and the coupon card.

I could go on and on about this product, but I'll keep it short and sweet. The DVD is well produced, chocked full of ideas and squeezes every bit of entertainment possible out of the Color Changing Deck routine. It is easy to follow and is a springboard to the things that are possible with this deck. The PRISM deck itself is well made, has more bell and whistles than a Rolls Royce and is truly a work of art and makes all of the things you always wanted to incorporate into the routine possible. Add on top of that all the extra bits and routines you get with cards separated from the deck and incorporated elsewhere and you have quite possibly one the best deals around! Highly recommended!!!

It is unbelievable how much thought went into this deck! Every single card has so much cool stuff built in it will blow your mind! And like mentioned above this isnt a CC Deck trick, its a entire 7-10 minute (customizable) routine that culminates in not only the deck changing into this super visual beautiful rainbow deck, but also Aces in the SPECTATORS HANDS CHANGE! Joshua Jay lectured at our SAM#4 meeting in Philadelphia last week. I highly recommend attending one of his lectures. Joshua performed quite a few affects including the Prism deck! This will get your creative juices flowing, and I have invented a few effects based on some of the cards in this deck. The cards themselves are very high quality. Everything, the different effects are all high quality. Be warned however- this will take some practice. There is only one moderately difficult sleight that can be accomplished with just a few hours of practice. I'm not going to get into huge detail about the methodology here, but it is very manageable.
The video teaches many effects, and the core routine (Jay's ace location and color-changing deck finish) is taught in great detail.

So, do I recommend it? Absolutely. Everything about this deck and the DVD blew me away. You may have to purchase an item to be able to do the "Ror-shock" effect but it is very cheap. (Oh, and if you don't already have one, a red Phoenix deck is pretty much mandatory for the full effect.

Enough has already been written about how great this deck is, and I agree completely. I thought I'd mention the nice clear plastic case it comes in. I'd buy a few if they were available separately. They'd be great for extra protection of my collector's deck, or for certain mentalism routines,or imagine Josh's 'Phantom Deck' where not only the cards turning blank, but the case as well.

This is worth every penny! Indeed it is pure genius. PRISM is everything promised. You can perform a routine, and the color change is merely icing on the cake! While you will want to have some basics down, like a double lift, although this is definitely at least an intermediate effect, you can learn all you need from the 45 min (or so) DVD. The artwork is great, and indeed there is careful attention to detail, and many more things built into the deck that are very very useful and will have your imagination going wild on new possibilities. This really is a must-have deck. This exceed my expectations, and was a real value and much more than I thought!

This trick is super amazing, it is one of the best color changing decks ever! The coolest part is that you do not need to do a deck swich. The trick is fairly easy and works very well. The cards are printed on Phoenix card stock so they will last you a long time. All you need to preform this trick is the prism deck and a red backed phenolic deck. The instructions are very good quality and they teach you everything you need to know. If your a fan of color changing decks, this is the trick for you.

PRISM Deck is primarily a deck of gaff cards to be used by the individual in whatever routines he can imagine. The deck is distributed through "Card Shark" so cards with a regular back design, have the Phoenix back design. The hype is greater than the actual usage. Good quality and possesses the potential for many different routines that the individual can imagine and create.

As soon as I saw Josh brought this back out, I immediately bought it. This is perfectly shot in detail and in video quality. Nothing is left unanswered, giving you a basic 60 secs routine to a full blown 6-10 min routine that packs such a power punch, with magic happening in their hands! You’ll also definitely wanna pick yourself up the phantom deck as well if you don’t own one. I took the deal with all three (the deluxe carrier and phantom) making for the perfect routine for walk around. The cards are absolutely beautiful as you can see just from the product page. I was very happy to see how easy the gimmick is to use, and the repair is super easy, from what Jay is describing, as he doesn’t actually show how to repair it, which is a bummer but not enough to knock off any stars. The other little bummer if you’re like me, you NEED two Phoenix decks if you wanna perform the mac daddy routine. He says you can perform this with whatever cards you like, but if you wanna use the gimmick, and the multi color aces that’s come with the deck, you’ll need 1-2 Phoenix decks. Again, this isn’t a big enough of a problem to knock off any stars, i just would’ve liked to have known so I could’ve added a brick to my order along with the other stuff I got, especially since it turns out to only be 48$ for said brick!! I might have switch from P3bikes to phoenix with those prices!! Overall I’m over the moon about this, and can’t wait to start performing it right away.

Had the original prism for years and it's been the best color changing deck effect I do. Witth prism plus, you get additional visuals to an already great routine. The gimmick is well made and camouflages really well.

Today I received the deck with 52 different back designs. The variety in designs is impressive, adding a unique dynamic to the experience. Another positive aspect is the well-crafted explanations found in the accompanying video. They are clear and easy to understand, facilitating the learning of tricks.
However, there are several drawbacks. First, additional cards not included in the set are required to perform all the tricks. Second, for the full routine, especially the deluxe version, an additional deck is necessary. Moreover, the box, which is repeatedly mentioned in the video, is not included. This means I need to purchase a completely new deck to fully utilize the product. This information was not mentioned in the product description, which is disappointing. As a buyer, I would have liked to know before purchasing that additional investments are necessary to utilize all the features of the deck.
The biggest issue is that I couldn't start practicing the tricks right away due to the lack of additional components. This led to frustration as my expectations were not met. It would have been helpful if these requirements had been clearly stated in the product description, allowing for an informed purchasing decision.

Simply my go to closer for the last 5 years. I was lucky enough to get a Prism Plus gimmick 5 years ago at a lecture in Newcastle, England. The gimmick has never failed me in all that time. I have bought again because everything was starting to look worn... what do you expect from all that usage. Superb routine when coupled with Phantom Deck... Bravo Mr Jay!!

The prism plus deck is a wonderful creation, and would recommend it to all magicians. However, you may want to invest in a phoenix deck of red cards whilst buying this, although it is not strictly necessary, and this was the only problem i really faced when using the prism plus deck.

I like the idea of cards being face up and face down in the spectators hands for the triumph portion of the routine this is a very nice touch, i think. Also the advice about how to convince the audience that the deck is all red is sound, good theory. The routine is well explained and Josh takes his time with you sharing a wonderful effect.

This is such a well thought out routine. However, as a complete newcomer to this type of performance, I expect it will take me a considerable amount of time to learn it. Clearly Josh’s explanation is aimed at the more experienced performers and I would like to see an additional tutorial that is aimed more at the novice.
I must admit, I missed the note in the ’blurb’ saying I needed additional cards, so I had to wait for my Pheonix decks to arrive!

So many different individual tricks included that I did not know even came with it. Video for the trick is easy to download and very easy to follow. The BEST rainbow deck EVER! I bought the regular prism 3 years ago and have been using it ever since. since adding the prism PLUS to the mix, i enjoy performing it even more! it turned the almost sleight free routine to almost self working! I think this rainbow deck is better than the other version since the cards actually look like cards you could've been collecting over time. also, the bonus features of the cards make them amazing for tricks (before or after) the basic routine. (the bonus cards are also really cool, and have a some really nice effects).

Joshua Jay has done it again. Prism Plus is pure revolution! This is not a trick, not even a card magic routine. In this small package that you can purchase for 29 pounds you will find up to 5 different routines. A combination of effects that one after the other leads you to create the most amazing changing deck you have ever seen. Get some red Phoenix and if you also have the Phantom Deck, you will have a great performance of at least 15 minutes.

The Prism Plus is much more than a color-changing deck routine. With the material provided, a performer could develop a complete close-up act. The quality of the deck (along with the new prism gimmick) is high. By investing a few bucks in the Phantom Deck (also a quality prop), you have a great closing effect. I can highly recommend this deck as I bought the original and now that Josh as supplied a new gimmick this makes the trick a lot stronger than before the teaching by Josh as you would expect is second to none and is very modular you can make the performance as long and as short as you would like this is a real winner and would recommend picking up the phantom deck as well as this makes the ending even stronger.

The prism plus deck is a real work horse. The product has already received enough positive reviews to convince anyone that it’s worth the buy, but I must add that the effects performed before the color changing deck climax are hard hitting and can stand on there own. The gimmick is also easily restored once it becomes worn. Excellent all around.

This is a sub standard product the gimmick broke right away and the deck does not have a bicycle design u have to make lot of adjustments to make the effect convincing. A very ordinary colour changing deck routine if you take away the gimmick. 40 usd is absolutely not justified for a ordinary deck of cards with different back designs

Make sure and buy two red phoenix decks so you can actually practice the trick when u receive it. I wish I had known this before hand.

This effect is amazing. I only perform the basic handling, but it still elicits some of the best reactions I’ve ever gotten. However, the Prism Plus gimmick really only works with red Phoenix backs, and as such I wouldn’t recommend trying to use other cards with it. Regardless of this, I love Prism Plus, and I’m sure you will too. In Josh’s book ‘MAGIC: The Complete Course’ he details a method of marking your gaff decks on the white space of the card box seal to easily differentiate them from one another.

I am very pleased and happy with this gimmick. This may be one of the best color changing decks that i have come across so far. I was also very amazed at the high quality of the deck. Another big surprise was that there were so many different tricks included and many different ways to perform the tricks, depending on your skill level, that a beginner or professional can easily execute. The video that came with it was well thought out and very clear to understand, and the demos explained to me clearly how to perform the many different tricks. It was easy to download as well as to follow. Love this gimmick. Would highly recommend!

The Prism Plus is much more than a color-changing deck routine. The magician could really create and entire act. The deck is of excellent quality and if you own a Phantom Deck you can have a fantastic presentation that can be used as an opener in a parlour atmosphere. The instructions are excellent and great demonstrations. Highly recommended. A+++++++++++. If you do card magic and you want a real stunner this is it.

I ordered the original, Prism Deck & received the download for Prism Plus. I do not normally use trick decks at all, however, this is the one exception that I have made. This is truly phenomenal. I perform this as both part of my close-up sets and part of my stage show. One major benefit to this is that you can perform many tricks with the deck before doing the colour changing sequence. Having each card with a different back design is so much stronger than doing a regular colour changing deck.
