Excellent trick and explanation. However, as I am a complete novice I feel that I don't have the skill set to perform this confidently. That's my problem!

A lot of work, will take lots of practice (doesn't any routine that looks good)? Great explanation, with all the hows and why's. Can't wait to get started (got to get a force deck).

Wow! Jim Krenz has created an incredible effect here. I had absolutely no idea how he could accomplish this unbelievable restoration with a signed card. He is a genius and has thought of everything to make it appear just impossible to happen, while making the method easy to perform! I highly recommend this wonderful effect.

Jim Krenz presents a very strong take on a classical illusion - "Torn and Restored" card. Krenz's version weaves together very powerful elements: signed card (with 2 signatures for double validation); a visual tear into micro pieces that includes an audible illusion; simple preparation of a card (minimal and easy pre-work); devious sleight of hand that allows to perform dirty work in plain view; and a sneaky (Ramsay) getaway, with proper misdirection. The teaching is very clear and very well shot with a ~20 min video. In Krenz's version, the "ritual" restores 3/4 of the card (with one piece remaining as a free floater). For this reason I might be partial to Lovick's "Reparation", where the full card is restored, but I still enjoyed this presentation and will practice it.

Very nice! Mr Krenz gives an excellently detailed explanation of this well-designed effect. Personally, I have never liked torn-card effects, nor have I ever performed one. This method may well change that for me. I definitely will put one of my old decks to use practicing "Ripper". Thank you, Jim Krenz! (By the way, my recommendation probably is not worth much to you, so read what Juan Tamariz has to say about Ripper.)

Absolutely beautiful. So clearly explained and shot. The techniques taught can also be applied to quite a few other situations.

Ripper is a very classy card effect. It takes just a little practice but is very easy to do. The instructional video is excellent and the two participants are very famous which makes this even better. If you do card magic you should add this one to your repertoire. Highly recommended. A+++++++++++

Excellent tutorial from a master magician. The trick is explained in great detail and the quality of the video is excellent. Picked this up at black Friday and it's certainly worth it. Not that hard either. Will have to put some time in but nothing excessive.

Very ingenious! Love the fact that you can get multiple performances with one time preparation. I also like the fact that you very obviously rip the card into so many pieces. Great product, especially for the money.

I think this is really good. I used to do JC Wagner t&r but stopped because it didn't get the reactions I hoped it would. This routine adds some subtleties that I would never have thought of. Sometimes doing the Wagner version people would not realize I had 'torn' the card into 4 pieces. This version makes the destruction of the card much more obvious. The teaching is top notch. Jim even mentions some things that MIGHT happen and how to fix them. The camera work is great. It gives an over the shoulder of the performer view. Also, I think this is in the realm of possibility for most performers. It looks pretty doable.

I wasn't really crazy about Jims patter (sorry Jim). I found it kind of convoluted and confusing. Most people make up their own so that shouldn't discourage you from getting this. It doesn't restore the last peice. I used to let people in on a secret of how to do that. After swearing them to secrecy, I would take out a sticker with my contact info and 'restore' it that way and leave it with them.

Very professional presentation and communication

I really like this version of the classic effect, but what I like even more is Krenz's clear, concise handling and discussion. Let's hear it for Chicago magicians!

OMG I'm blown away by this. I've a couple of other T&R effects that I've paid much more for, that are complex, and I've just given up in the end. Don't get me wrong this will take some practice time and patience like all Magic, but is far more achievable and impressive. I'm determined to nail this one and I'm confident that I will. Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou Jim, for this lovely and achievable effect. The instructions are a delight to watch too, with various angles covered within. Top notch and I'm not disappointed with this purchase 👍♣️♥️♠️♦️

Best Card TnR! There are so many torn and restored card tricks and gimmicks out there, but this one goes beyond. Ripped into many tiny pieces, this can be performed extremely close up and more than 180° safe angles. Learning the moves are extremely easy, yet can be polished to be executed in a very slow motion manner. Also the idea of using a different colored pen and having the audience see the ink on the card rip is a fantastic addition. This is a WONDERFUL illusion that can be mastered and performed quickly for decades to come! I really love this!

Interesting version of the Torn and Restored card. I like it that Jim torns the card in more then 4 pieces, as usually done in most versions, and that all the handling is weel thought to make it look clean.

Great trick for the right situation

This is such an amazing effect. Everything seems natural and motivated. There are some very clever ideas behind this that make it look as clean as it does. It will definitely take some practice but the end result will be an amazing card restoration like no other. If you are looking for a practicle TnR then you just found it.
