Scuttle

Scuttle is a great way to add a bit of shock and laughter to any magic show!

You start by fanning out 4 playing cards and turning one over to show a drawing of your first pet, a little cockroach.

After placing this card on the table, you snap your fingers and notice that the cockroach has "scuttled" back to your packet of cards leaving a card with tiny footprints on the table.

You place the cockroach back on the table. Yet, instantly, it "scuttles" right back to your packet leaving another card with nothing but footprints on it.

Finally, in your last attempt to contain your pet cockroach, you sandwich the cockroach card between the two other cards and have the spectator hold the last card face down.

Then, after snapping your fingers, you show that your three cards have nothing but footprints. With only one place for the cockroach to go, your spectator turns over their card and is shocked to see a full-size cockroach attached to it.

This is a fun and harmless scare that will have everyone, including the spectator, laughing. And, unlike the classic My Pet Borris effect, there's no need to worry about any expensive phones being dropped or broken.
