Customer reviews for King Con
I seriously doubt this assumption but let the naysayers assume anything they want...King Con is a brilliant effect that despite using a familiar packet trick handling, the use of the child's hand drawn kings morphing into traditionally printed kings is a knockout.
Both magicians and laymen who I have shared this with respond with both eye-bulging amazement and gut busting laughter!
This is an effect that you will perform...better order two of them!
The trick is easy to do and the kicker finish will floor the spectators. And the price is right. I will keep this item handy in my close-up case.
Merci.

It's easy to perform, practical, instant reset. The routines are engaging, fun, and have a knockout finish, all happening right in your spectator's hands. highly recommend.

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.
David asks: Hi, apart from drawn kings and ink blob drawings, is there a difference between King Con and Rorshock? Thanks
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:The routine is very similar with some slight changes
Justin asks: How do I write a review (which was requested) ? I click on the product and can't find a link.
- 1. Jim responds:It is an orangish button, on the right side, near the reviews section.
James asks: Another questioner asked, does this use R&S and a response was given that it does not use rough and smooth. Related to that and with the same concerns about such handling routines, to be clear, does it rely on a particular similar handling not specifically called R&S, but maybe some "sticky stuff" or other variation to be used?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:No rough and smooth but there is some sticky stuff.
Les asks: King Con - Is sleight of hand not needed in only one of the routines?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Correct, but the sleight of hand needed in the others is the level of a double lift.
Marek asks: Is it possible / very hard to create version of gimmick with kings drawn by me? I want them to fit my drawing style connect to other trick
- 1. Michael responds:As another person mentioned, this presentation reminds me of Richard Sanders "Aces". Based on what I'm seeing, once you learn the method, you will be able to figure out a way to do this using your own drawings. You just need to get a couple of items to pull it off.
James asks: Related to Daniel's question about R&S; ok, specifically no R&S, but how about sticky stuff?
- 1. David responds:Method appears similar to Ace. Let's just say that.
Luca asks: How is this project different from Ace?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:From Richard Saunders: "King Con features 7 different routines ranging from simple to multi effect handlings. All the routines require minimal sleight of hand yet they allow you to perform, what amounts to an impossible 4 card change. The cards can change on the table or in the spectator's hands. There is a straight forward handling as in the trailer (with lots more ideas, tips and uses) There is a visual change routine, where the hand drawn cards VISIBLY change into real kings There is a special handling which leaves you squeaky clean at the end (using no palming or sleight of hand and no extra props to carry). There is a powerful transposition handling, where the hand drawn red and black kings change places with each other multiple times...and just when the spectators think it can't get any more magical...impossibly, every card changes into a real king. There is a Psychological Switch routine, where you visually demonstrate how you switch cards...and then nail them with a total 4 card change. Finally there is a very clever handing where you begin to show that the cards are starting to change to real kings...and then knock them out by showing that all cards are now ACES...and everything is totally examinable! This is a super clever, super devious hangling that you will love! Plus more routines, tips, ideas, psychology and more. This is not Ace, however, there are similarities but as I said before, the gimmick system is different and more practical, the presentations are much more commercial and it's so much fun to perform...plus all the routines, etc. Ace is a stand alone for its unique powerful main handling and King Con is a stand alone for it's fun to perform, commercial appeal. Both powerful and both different."
Stewart asks: Do you have to hide/remove/switch cards to end clean?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:There are many routines included. And if you want the cards to be totally examinable at the end, you would need to do a switch. This is all explained in the instructions. But really, we don't think you need to bother - the shock is so great at the end of the "classic" routine! But the option is there if you want it.
Daniel asks: Does this use R&S? Only asking as I personally don't get along so well with these types of gimmicks and don't want to waste money on something that's just gonna end up in my junk drawer.
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:No rough and smooth.
Paul asks: Are the hand drawn Kings printed onto the cards, or do you receive blank faces to draw yourself ?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:They're printed on.
