"It’s a must-read!" Andi Gladwin

“One of the best books on magic theory I’ve ever read” MagicOrthodoxy

What do you do when you’re asked to perform on the spot? Do you frantically search through your mental catalog of tricks, desperately trying to remember your routines? If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And luckily, you have Justin Higham to help.

If you’ve not heard of Justin, he’s studied at the feet of masters, published a wealth of material, hosted a Vanishing Inc. Masterclass, and perfected some of the toughest sleight of hand out there. But most importantly, Justin has studied magic and how to teach it for over for years, teaching over 3,500 lessons.

The Intuitive Magician is a roadmap to go from being someone who “does tricks” to a performer who can live in the moment. You’ll learn how to read the room, how to put together your A-list material, pick the right routine for the situation, understand how and when to perform moves, how to practice the right way, and eventually, how to become comfortable with performing on the fly. This is practical advice from one of magic’s best instructors.

This is one of the most in-depth magic theory books to have been published in recent years. If you enjoyed Darwin Ortiz’s Strong Magic or Designing Miracles, you will find a lot to love here. Our co-founder, Andi Gladwin, read it over the course of a week and said, “Justin is one of magic’s deepest thinkers. This book is dense and full of high-level ideas and theories, along with practical ways to apply them. It’s a must-read!”

If you’re someone who knows the material and the moves, but can’t help feeling like something is still missing, The Intuitive Magician just might have that missing piece.
