“The deck is in their hands—I honestly have no idea how this works. Totally fooled!” John Morton

One very clever deck.12 routines.

From lightning-fast mental math to ACAANs, even book tests become child’s play with “The Savant Deck” deck in your hands.

You can confidently let your participants shuffle the deck; and they’ll find nothing. Only you know it’s gaffed to the hilt!

In the three-hour download, Craig and Lloyd teach you twelve complete routines that make you look like a real wizard, while you have to do no hard work.

Our Highlights

Instant Sum Calculation
With your back turned, allow the audience to shuffle the deck and cut any number of cards before spreading them face up. After a quick countdown, you turn and immediately name the exact total of all visible card values, time after time, perfectly accurate, and utterly impossible.

Hidden-Card Revelation
While you face away, a spectator freely shuffles the deck, selects one card, and tucks it into their pocket. The remaining cards are returned to the box for full examination. Without touching the deck, you instantly identify the hidden card and can repeat the effect with a new selection just as effortlessly.

Mind-Reading Variations
Multiple approaches to predicting freely named cards and numbers are included, each exploiting the deck’s secret to deliver routines that even seasoned magicians will be fooled by.

Order “The Savant Deck” today and perform astonishingly fair, repeatable miracles—all with nothing more than what seems to be a regular deck in your pocket.

Customer reviews for Savant Deck

The Savant Deck is very clean and easy to use. SUPER CLEAN AND EASY TO DO The trick itself is simple, but it works best if you add some good presentation. NEEDS MORE WORK ON PRESENTATION THAN THE TRICK ITSELF When done well, it impresses a lot and can even fool experienced magicians. HITS SUPER HARD AND CAN FOOL A MAGICIAN IF PERFORMED WELL You don’t need any setup if you don’t drop the cards—the deck resets instantly. If you do drop the cards, resetting takes about two minutes. NEED NO SETUP INSTANT RESET, BUT IF YOU DROP THE CARDS IT TAKES 2 MINUTES Anyone can do it—even if you can’t do a double lift. ANYONE, EVEN IF CAN’T DO A DOUBLE LIFT Overall, it’s a strong and easy routine that’s great for both beginners and pros. RECOMMENDED FOR EVERYONE

Craig Petty and Lloyd Barnes are both creative and clever. Together, they develop some tricks that are truly remarkable. "Savant Deck" is remarkable. The basis for the tricks is something you'll probably find familiar, but the implementation and ideas will impress you and obliterate your close-up audiences. A Vanishing Inc trick called the Chimera Deck is the closest analogue I can think of to the concept of taking an old gimmick and doing new and miraculous things with it. Highly recommended.
Noteworthy: VI delivered this VERY quickly. Thanks!

Not sure why this has so much hype. You CANNOT let a spectator shuffle. The cards will be out of order. Period. If you have another magician do it, you're fine. The same with the Rain Man Effect. If you allow the spectator to pick up a pack, you may have trouble. I'm not going to give away anything, but I tried this a few times after I got the deck. Very first shuffle from a spectator put the cards out of order. Then I reset later and had another spectator cut a small pack. Again, they grabbed from the sides and not the way a magician would do it. The effect was ruined. For me, I do a lot of corporate gigs and weddings. I have to have something that works 100%. This cannot work 100% IF you let a spectator touch the cards. It's a gaffed deck. Never let a spectator touch a gaffed deck. The spectator CAN inspect the deck, but they should not be allowed to do anything else. The deck is now in the bin of never to use tricks.

As soon as The Savant Deck launched I added two to my cart and purchased them right away. Upon receiving them (which was super quick, thanks to VI’s fast shipping) I was really excited to dive in and learn the method. The Savant Deck is an amazing deck of cards with so much utility. When I learned the secret, in which my initial guess was way off, I could not help but smile at the genius at work behind the method. The tutorial is high quality and consists of multiple parts providing enough content to perform them as is or build upon them with your own creativity. I love how clean everything appears to be for the spectators and how this deck can be riffle shuffled and cut as many times as a spectator would want. I highly recommend The Savant Deck so you can add another weapon in your arsenal to completely disarm your spectators ability to deconstruct the method.

Savant Deck is absolutely fantastic.
All the routines are brilliant, but my personal favourite is the UV Reveals.
Others routines that I will perform are Rainman, Magic Square, Change Prediction & ACAAN Blizzard.
Only received the deck yesterday & I have already ordered a UV torch & UV marker pen.
There are numerous routines to choose from, I have chosen 1/2 dozen in just 24hours.
I am a 84 O.A.P. & magician & this deck is definitely been one of my best buys.
For years now I've loved & used the I.Deck. but I think this has replaced it.
If you are considering purchasing Savant Deck, don't hesitate any longer, you will not regret buying.

This is a versatile and remarkable deck of cards. The videos are excellent and very easy to follow. There are some but very few effects where you would need two decks. The handling is so easy. In fact, you won't trust that the deck can be shuffled until you do it yourself. You will be amazed. The Savant Deck has so many easy possibilities. Anyone who uses cards needs this deck in their arsenal. Highly Recommended A++++++++++++++++++

The Savant Deck is my new favorite gaffed miracle that makes me look like a math & memory wizard over 6 or 8 different tricks that you can go into one after another after another without so much as breaking a sweat. And — get this — you can riffle shuffle the deck as much as your spectator wants! If there was ever an idea I wish I had thought of this one is it! (For the record I prefer Craig P’s handling of the Kings & Jokers.)

Excellent idea. Very fooling, especially when in the hands of the Magi.

But . . . Having someone else shuffle the deck can be a problem. No overhand shuffle. Often a table riffle shuffle will not work for a spectator. Even cutting the deck is problematic. Most people (myself included) will cut a deck along the length side, not along the top. You must demonstrate the cutting action for each participant so that they don't screw up. Watch the video and see how the deck is handled. Can look a little fishy . . .

That said, this is a great idea. No point in trying to build this deck yourself. $35 is a bargain. And you don't need a deck switch. After doing 1 or 2 of the routines, you can simply shuffle the deck and
use it for any other basic effect. Very cleaver. Buy this.

Great trick, great idea, great deck. Only give it 4 stars because as usual Craig talks way too much. His partner is even worse and talks way too fast. Other than that I highly recommend this deck/device/concept and plan to use it frequently.

This is such a great concept and SO useful as a utility for some truly mind-blowing effects. Totally fooling. For those concerned about shuffling or spectator handling, check out the Facebook group as there are some great ideas there plus really good additional tricks from users. You can easily create a multiple routine set with a couple of stunning tricks to end on such as the UV or Blank ACAAN. So good.
