Description says “ the end of the routine, you can give the cards away, making an impossible object become an impressive souvenir.” Cam the cats be handed out/given away still linked, or must you “tear” them apart and then give out as a souvenir, i.e., do you hand them the cards linked and they take them home linked and the link will pass close scrutiny afterwards?

I don't own (yet :) this effect by Mr. Pearl, but it seems deeply influenced by the work of Sixten Beme. So, I would say that the cards can be safely given linked to the spectators, but this depends on the quality of your construction of the gimmick. (Aside from the ring) this is the approach most similar to Simon Coronel’s effect.

Is the kit needed or once you purchase can you construct the gimmick?

You can easilly replenish everything you need when required.

The ad says that "the cards" can be signed. That seems to be quite misleading to me: I believe only one of them can be signed, right? Otherwise I'll buy it immediately! ;-)

Yes, only one card can be signed by the spectator. However, the packet of cards that you are using have all been apparently previously signed by spectators.

How many gimmicks you can construct with the kit provided ?

I've not actually received it yet, so not actually sure what you got in the package, but you probably already have everything you need at home to make as many as you will need.

Once I learn this, do I need to purchase refill gimmicks, or do I learn a skill that will allow me to DIY my own linking cards for life?

No refills are needed (apart from standard arts & crafts items). You are leaning a skill to make as many gimmicks as you could ever need.

Does this trick use a gimmick that needs to be introduced to the deck?

No. The routine is done with an extra packet of cards that have been previously signed by your other spectators. Nothing is added to a deck.

How long does prep take?

I would say with a bit of practice, perhaps 2 or 3 minutes.

The Linking Cards plot is one of magic's hidden gems. After all, there is something profoundly impossible about seeing one solid card linked inside another. It is, without a doubt, an underrated powerhouse of an effect.

However, almost every version of the Linking Cards comes with limitations. Mostly, the cards couldn't be examined; they had to be switched, or worse, they could only be held by the magician. There was always a "catch."

Ultimate Card Link is different.

Fully Signed: The participant can sign the cards, making switching them out impossible.
In Their Hands: The moment of magic happens in their hands. Your participant is holding the cards while they link.
The Ultimate Souvenir: At the end of the routine, you can give the cards away, making an impossible object become an impressive souvenir.

Ultimate Card Link has been a staple of Mr. Pearl's "One Table Magic" shows. Now this incredible effect can be a staple of yours.

Everything you need to create "Ultimate Card Link" is included, along with over an hour of comprehensive video instructions. You'll learn how to construct the cards, how to perform Mr. Pearl's routine, and the tips and tricks to make it as powerful as it can be.

I can’t believe I paid 80 dollars for this, what an absurd price for what’s essentially a download tutorial. Why not have that as an option for HALF THE PRICE? I don’t care if they sent me the “kit” which any CHILD would own the tools already, this is the second time I’ve been burnt on pricing and it puts a sour taste in my mouth, listen I buy ALOT of products because I enjoy seeing how people’s minds work, but for 80 dollars I was expecting to receive loads of gimmicks, I appreciate they teach you to make them, but I kind of knew already how to make them, I was expecting something a little more for this price point.. The trick itself, sure good, I’ll definitely use it, especially after spending that much on it, but the price brings it down SO much. If the price was a 20 dollar download it would be 4 stars. Wow is all I have to say, and not positively. Until they adjust the price point I’d have to not recommend this and use that 80 dollars to go towards so many other things, like the new cubism pro.

I agree. This is over priced for what you get. I would pay no more than half the price for the download. They teach you how to make the gimmick so there is no point to get them in a tin box. Is the trick good? Yes but I am not sure if you can really hand it to the spectator. They will obviously look for what they are suspicious of and they might find it. They only teach one routine using the spectator. I was hoping to learn a routine without having to involve the spectator.
