When we saw X-act performed for the first time, one word came to mind: PURE. It is so pure, and EXACTLY as described. A card isolated, a number is named, and the cards are counted FAIRLY from the deck. The card at the NAMED number matches the isolated card.

Comes complete with all the special props you require. There are TWO excellent handlings. We like the first one, but many magicians will appreciate the purity of the second option. Both are easy as pie and are VERY diabolical. Here's how they look:

Handling one: a card inside an envelope is placed on the table next to a deck of cards. The spectator asks for any number from 1 to 52. The deck is removed from the card case. The cards are dealt face up one at a time until you reach their selected number. The card at the named number MATCHES EXACTLY the card in the envelope. It's that clean--watch the video and you'll see!

Handling two: It gets no cleaner than this. A playing card is laid face down on a spectators hand (no envelope this time). The spectator names any number from 1 to 52. The deck is removed from the card case. You deal the cards face up one at a time, finally arriving at the chosen number. Once again, a perfect match.

  • Learn and perform this miracle in 10 minutes.
Without doubt X-act is the greatest card effect since Paul Curry’s “Out of This World”. Charles Gaucci
It's a miracle! Doc Eason.
A devilish mechanism so infernal and diabolical, an effect so staggering, that in earlier, more superstitious times, its operator would be consigned to a fiery meeting with Azrael, the Grim Reaper of perdition. But it also works as a really, really good card trick. Bob Farmer

Customer reviews for X-Act

John
I bought this about 18 months direct from Mark. The method is fantastic and relatively easy to peform. Worth buying for the method alone (believ me!). Only one thing: it will NOT be learnt in minutes. Having said that it is easy to do. Buy it you won't regret it.
Robert
If there was a rating above excellent this effect would get it. X-Act has become a regular part of my close up act. Just as clean as can be. Instant reset so perfect for walk-a-round.
Ron
This is probably one of the best and most ingenious card tricks I've ever owned. Absolutely stuns people. Very, very easy to do and the method will stun you. Don't pass this one up.
Paul
I've been collecting CAAN & ACAAN effects for more years than I care to mention. For me, X-Act is currently the most perfect solution to the CAAN plot available. It is virtually self-working, never fails and the gimmicks are nothing short of genius. Hats off to Mark Mason & Mike Kirby.
Bryan
I haven't been this giddy about a trick in long time! X-Act by Mike Kirby is so genius, I really can't say enough. I have always loved the CAAN plot, although most are beyond my current skill level. I cannot wait to perform this and to highlight how great this product is - It's my first review ever! Also, Mr. Mark Mason does a wonderful job with explanation throughout. A miracle every time!
Nicholas
Probably the best ACAAN utilizing gimmicks. No sleight of hand and very minimal memory/math work required. My favorite Mark Mason effect.
