A Pocket Version of One of the Most Famous Tricks

Effect

The performer covers the ball with a silk pocket handkerchief and while he holds the corners of the handkerchief, the ball begins to rise in a ghostly manner! Then it floats away under the handkerchief, up and down and finally rests on the edge of the handkerchief. Finally, the magician grabs the ball and tosses it into the air showing no attachments.

Customer reviews for Mini-Zombie Ball

I know this is a classic and I really wanted to like it but the way the Zombie Ball and gimmick attach on this version is pretty much useless. At least this was my experience. As I first tried to use it, the Zombie Ball kept falling off the gimmick. I tried using some tape to rectify the problem but that didn't do the trick. I generally love all the Vernet products I've used in the past. The Three Shell Game, Thumb Tips, etc. are all great products at incredible prices. The price of this is certainly affordable, and maybe I will make another attempt to modify it so that it is more secure. And I imagine the full size version functions as it should.

Do not buy this.

- The gimmick only has one finger hold, so it spins around.
- The gimmick is very flimsy and bends easily. It is also very springy so movements are not smooth.
- The ball does not sit firmly on the gimmick. It will wobble and fall off easily.
- The ball itself has lots of points that snag on fabric. So if you try to go from under a silk, the ball just grabs onto the fabric and pulls the ball off the gimmick.
- You can't file off these snag points. They are numerous, and the paint will just be gone.

I really wanted to like this. I was curious about a zombie effect, but this thing was a waste of $10.

Now, for those of you who say, "What did you expect for $10??": I expected a workable trick. I have several effects that cost less than $10 and work great. This is just a bad product. ??????
