Fresh off his phenomenal performance on Penn and Teller's Fool Us, we are proud to present a brand new, unpublished routine by Kostya Kimlat. As you would expect, it's stunning, smart, quick, and visual. What you may not expect...is that it uses coins and an Okito Box. In fact, we'll even go a step further. This is the best Okito box routine we have ever seen. You know we don't like artificial hype at Vanishing Inc. Magic, and so when we say this, we mean it.

The plot is simple. Coins are "thrown" at an Okito Box and they penetrate inside, one by one. But what makes this routine so powerful is that it happens right under the noses of the spectators. No gaffed coins are used, and everything is clean, direct, and examinable between every phase. You can do this routine surrounded, in any circumstance, for kids or adults. In fact, we have great footage in the trailer of Kostya performing this trick on local television.

We love working with Kostya because he spends years perfecting his original magic. What you receive in this download is EVERY detail needed to perform, and a breakdown of every move required. Kostya so rarely releases new material that we feel honored to be the exclusive carrier of this wonderful piece of magic.

Customer reviews for Kostya Kimlat's Okito Box Routine

Roy
I am a coin guy. I hesitated on purchasing this but I am glad I did. This okito box routine is a direct real world worker. The three phase psychology and kick back at the end makes so much sense and is an entertaining little masterpiece. I love it.

Gerard
A truly solid routine! You can tell this is a real working pice of magic! I'm excited to perform this in my strolling gigs!
Mike
Top notch stuff.

Brilliant tutorial delivered with real style and knowledge of the subject.
Wright
The first time I saw it, I was completely fooled. The second time, I followed every move. In short, excellent for laymen, but don't show it twice to magicians.

So I am at MagiFest and I am doing some Okito stuff and Kostya comes up, pulls out his own box (suprise in itself) and kicks my butt with a great routine. This is Commercial, great for walk around, and is entertaining. The man knows his stuff. There are lessons to be learned from this routine.
Gerard
A lovely piece of magic! Very easy to understand and has amazing moment of magic! Great job!
matteo
A little masterpiece of closeup magic! Marvellous!
Marc
I finally got around to purchasing an Okito Box. I've checked out a lot of routines in a lot of books and videos, looking for a routine that I liked enough to practice. This is it. The effects are clear, and the work is clean. I often find Kostya's stuff daunting (his cull literally makes my jaw drop), but there's nothing too difficult here, as long as you can classic palm. You won't fool your proverbial magic friends (even I was able to figure out the mechanics just by watching the performance), but the routine is wonderfully deceptive and Kostya is an excellent teacher: thorough and encouraging. An easy buy.

I'm just getting into coin magic and got myself an okito box. The routine that it came with was poor... so I downloaded thus. Total steal. The simple 3 phase routine is simple to learn but hits hard. Learnt it yesterday performed it today with great results. Love it. This will be my routine for the okito box for a long time. As a coin magic beginner with a few sleights, this has made me feel like a pro and given me so much confident. You'll love it!!
Mark
Saw this as a great way to get reacquainted with the Okito box. Simple, clear, no wasted moves, good audience response. I like this tremendously.
Larry
If it's by Kostya there's is no doubt the money invested is worth it, however, why did he not create a closer view of the routine instead of his appearance on a TV Show. Could not see the phases enough to fully follow the routine. Come on Kostya, you're fans deserve better. Not angry, just disappointed in your choice of delivery.????????
Vernon
Buy this one! It is excellent as Kostya gives it all away. His handling of the Okito Box is the best. You won't be sorry and will use this one for a very long time.
Jeffrey
This is a wonderful routine. The moves are basic coin moves but that does not mean it is easy. The third coin (really second) to the box is a bit nacky to do convincingly. Timing and flow are crucial to this routine. Lots of presentational possibilities. Put the time in and you will have a very nice piece of magic.
Chas
SHORT BUT INTERESTING DOWNLOAD THOUGHT THAT THERE WOULD BE MORE INPUT REGARDING THE MOVES .GOOD VIDEO FOR THE MONEY
Edward
Video exceeded my expectation. Done well, easy to follow.
Bruce
excellent video and teaching. Its a routine that I'll use
Zayne
Straightforward, easy, and powerful. Great Okito routine.
Roger
This is a great effect with a coin box. The handling is easy enough for one to do! I give this routine 5 Stars
Roberto
Simple and effective okito box penetration routine. I like the fact that Kostya really polished this up. I know a similar routine done with cards in a matrix like fashion, but this one is clean, open and straightforward. I'm sure the audience will love it. If you know your way with basic coin moves and know the classic okito box move you will learn this routine in no time. Great purchase!
Donald
Excellent routine. Direct and to the point Can use audience participation or done without. Sleights are within most magicians arsenals. The explanation was easy to follow. It's going into my repertoire immediately.
James
Great routine that gets stunning reactions
Gary
I have only recently got in to okito box magic and when I saw this download by Kostya Kimlat I knew I just had to purchase this and was not disappointed as this is a quick routine that is not difficult to perform and is expertly taught by Kostya and is certainly very deceptive in its execution and it comes with my highest recommendation.
Jack
Great routine.
John
Finally a no nonsense routine that doesn’t require extra coins or gimmicks and packs a punch. Put the practice time in and you’ll have yourself an instant routine that you can do anywhere.
Geoffrey
Good old Kostya Kimlat, this is a guy I absolutely love, he really thinks through and makes some very well known tricks look amazingly deceptive, definitely my favourite inventor of tricks and this routine is nothing short of amazing, even though it is simple to do and most magicians will already know the moves, Kostya's handling and intuitive phases will mostly fool the best magicians, I think this is what motivated Penn to say that he hated him.
Bryan
This is an amazing routine that will entertain all who see it. It is one of those packs small but plays big routine. It can be used as an individual piece or built into a set of coin magic very easily.

Once again the video is very well made and the tutorial goes into all the details that are needed. There are some bits that you will need to practise and develop the skill/muscle memory for but with everything like this you will get what you put into it. Now plase excuse me, I have to make some coins vanish and appear.
Lawrence
This is an excellent routine. The moves are direct and simple. It has renewed my interest in the Okito box. Several moves are valuable to learn all by themselves.
Kostya Kimlat does an excellent job of first performing and then explaining step-by-step all the intricasies of his performance. He breaks it down into 3 stages and goes into great, easy-to-follow detail. This was on of my best purchases.
David
Can't wait to start learning this. I really like the directness and easy to follow plot for lay people. The moves don't seem all that difficult.
Steven
This one revolutionized my coin box routine...Once haphazard and unmotivated, this is a worker. Kostya's experience with close-up audiences really shines in this. Minimal manipulation skill required. Mirror practice recommended.
Michael
A fabulous routine. Elegant in its simplicity and so bewildering. I love the subtlety of the turnover move with the box at the end. I'm told this move can look somewhat awkward or obvious, but in Kosyta's hands it looks totally imperceptible and therefore totally convinicing.
Scott
Great Okito routine. Direct, visual, and allows room for own patter or story. Not too difficult to do, and would even be great for the newer coin magician.
Lucas
This is a very straight forward piece of coin magic. There will be some sleights but it is not anything that is too difficult. Any coin worker will be able to pick this up quite easily. A great routine and a real worker.
Motley
Kostya, as always, is clear, precise, and thoughtful in his presentation. He explains not only how to perform each phase but a bit of his thinking behind the choices he makes. None of the moves are all that difficult, even for someone (like me) who does not do much coin work at all. A simple shuttle pass, finger palm, and classic palm (the hardest sleight in the routine) plus a pair of standard Okito box moves are all that are required, and he demonstrates each several times--in performance, then slowly and methodically, then again at speed. I will be working on this routine starting tonight, and you should, too!
Jan Harry
Top notch!
Harry
Absolutely stunning. I mislaid my Okito Box a couple of years ago, and found it last March. since getting your tuition, I have been constantly practising your routine. Thanks for your inspiration!
Ed
No gimmicks...
Just a wonderful anytime trick.
Gerald
What terrific routine. Kostya routine is direct & visual. The explanation very clear and covers everything you need to perform this magical wonder. So, find that Okito Box you have stash away and let's get started. PS it's so good I type a review and that almost never happens.
John
Once again, a quality routine that has already gone into my act. Thank you, Vanishing.
Brian
I'm always happy to get some new coin magic to put into my routines! And this does not disappoint! I've always loved doing coin box routines! Now I just have to go out and get a new box so I can make this part of my EDC! Thanks VI for the awesome download! Will continue to do business with you! And as always Magic On!

Chris
Love this routine! Simple, direct, and powerful. Not to mention you start clean and finish clean. Kostya does an excellent job of explaining the moves in each stage of the routine. Highly recommended!
Richard
five star
Scott
A very well done and detailed explanation. I always had an Okito Box but never really liked the routines I’ve seen. When I saw Kostya perform it I really liked how simple and direct it was. You’ll really appreciate it more when you see an up close studio performance of the routine when you buy this download. Like Kostya I’m a card guy but I can definitely see myself performing this one. The best part is you’re really only using one sleight but with the nature of the box it makes everything very deceptive.
AARON
this is simple and straight forward
you don't have to know terminology
Gary
The routine is well taught, but the basic moves are not discussed in any detail. That is actually good because you should be learning your coin palm from someone better at it. The problem with doing a no gimmick, no plot, only 4 coin routine while emphasizing that it is all sleight of hand is that the routine construction and the sleights need to be at a higher level because you just put the spotlight fully on them. The routine is not at that level. It is good but has room for improvement.
Trevor
incredible teaching he's real slick.
Tom
Not for absolute beginners, as you do need to know a couple of basic sleights and be comfortable with handling an Okito box. The video offers two performances; the second, somewhat blurry TV show appearance, isn't really necessary. He moves quickly through the moves, so stop the video and back up as you need to. The three-step plot really is understandable, as is his reasoning for it. The casual throwing of the coins is a nice touch and strengthens the effect, as it develops the plot as well as giving something unexpected to look at. Drawing attention to the box more than once is also a good element. Do you have to do this routine as fast as he does it? Probably not; as always, make it your own.
Jeff
Highly recommend this routine. It is quick and to the point. Not difficult sleight of hand, but not for the beginner either. 3 phases is perfect.Always good to give the cards a rest. Instructional section, is very thorough, with an alternate intro.Koysta explains everything clearly and slowly, too. One of the best parts of this lesson, is the advice Kostya gives at the end. It may be only one sentence ,but it is an axiom of magic, and you will never forget it.
Udo
This is an excellent Okito Box trick. I will practice till I can do this routine. It will take some time which I have alot of being retired, again excellent material, Thanks Kostya Kimlat
Marco
Exactly what I was looking for. The routine is simple but exciting and Kostya is a great teacher. He explains everything that is needed to replicate his routine while also giving you enough room for personal style. I am happy with this download and would highly recommend it.
GEORGIOS
just perfect simple coin magic.
i am a magician for over 27 years and never really practiced coin magic except from some sleights like classic palm etc.
this routine is amazing, simple and very deceptive.
