Teaching Overall the teaching was great! I enjoyed learning the effect and hit myself when i found out the how it was done. Though at one stage was a bit rushed but i had no problem scrolling back making sure i was right. The routine is very well thought out and its all motivated and its done with a BORROWED ring.

Method Wow. Its just one of those things "I wish i had thought of that" well Brett did but anyway. The method is ALOT of fun even practicing in the mirror your jaw drops from how visual this is. Now i dont think alot of people will be confortable at first performing this but then you will try it and people have no mouths. Its very very visual which of course im sure you can see. Deffinately jumped right to the top of my favourite Close-Up effects list.

Applications I guess the idea can be used for a multitude of things. None are included here. But ideas fly right through your head. I dont think anyone will have any problems applying the principle to an effect.

Quality The Quality is great. The image is clear and easy to understand. Multiple angles are used to enhance the learning experience and overall Brett is a nice down to earth guy.

So to Sum it up i absolutely love the effect. Im sure any Close-up worker will add it to there repertoire. Its ALOT of fun to practice and just watch the spectators reactions when your doing it with there bery own ring.

The method for this one really was a complete surprise. This effect is not well suited to repetition in a live performance, but it is not impossible. In my opinion, it is one effect you do not want to repeat, and Brett even says as much. This is one of those great hit-em-hard effects, but it is not necessarily ideal in every situation or condition.

The effect is very well presented and the description is very clear. The idea is awesome and when done properly, it does get spectators thinking (or apparently in some cases, screaming). I just got this yesterday and performed it this early afternoon in a restaurant for some fellow magicians at our weekly lunch gathering. It floored them all - especially the one that loaned me his ring. He immediately grabbed the ring back and tried to see if it would work with his finger...

The effect is very easy and really the only thing you need to work on is your presentation. After playing around with it last evening for a couple of hours, I had easily come up with 3 or 4 different presentational angles to use for it. Speaking of angles, theoretically, this could be done surrounded but I think it is better performed for a small group of people in front of you because that is where all the action happens. Anybody standing any wider than a 30 degree angle to either side of you will not really see what is happening.

As was stated in a previous review, it really is not what you think. Even if you do not use this one a lot, you cannot go wrong for the price but I know this effect will definitely be in my repertoire.

made the gimmick with some stuff I had kicking around here for practice purposes. I gotta say it's very easy to learn I can see it packing a big punch in certain situations. I'd still have to rad test it a bit myself and make a proper gimmick to figure out the right situation for this. but I really love the method and Brett" instruction was very thorough and well thought out . and you can tell he has really worked it.

I have been obsessed with finger ring effects lately, and this is a great one. Easy to perform, and being a nerd myself, the ties to Lord of the Rings was a clincher. Clear instruction and clever method.

Wow! I had a hunch, and I was way off. This trick is a little gem for when you are taking a walk or in a restaurant. But I also have a word of advice. This trick is totally awesome, worth every penny, but it is better to do with 3-5 people, maybe more, it depends on what time it is. I don't want to give the trick away so I'm trying to be as vague as possible. The trick is sort of angle sensitive (that's the best I can give without giving it away) it is easier to do in dim lighting.

That being said, again, this trick is totally awesome, I can't wait to show it to the world and have them banging their heads against brick walls to get their brain to tell them how the trick works...or something like that...

I have to agree, how it is done is not what you would first suspect... at least for the first two phases of it. Once you see how it is done, you WILL do the requisite head-slap. It is in fact, very logical. In regards to performance, I definately would not recommend doing it outside, on a bright, sunny day. In this case, at the very least, you want to do it in the shade. Ideally, it should be done inside, with hopefully lower than average lighting, (your usual bars & resturaunts fit this bill in most cases). And, if the libations are flowing amongst your spectators, the more the merrier!

Personally, I would use this as an opener, and then immediately segway into other ring-based magic and/or the rest of your routine. Done right, it is a strong effect worth exploiting, just as soon as it establishes the "suspension of disbelief" in your audience. In the few minutes it takes to perform, you will have them believing you are Gandolf, reborn, in the flesh. Use that advantage to it's fullest!

This effect is fully achievable by beginners and advanced "wizards" alike. Of course, the more advanced will see the possibilities beyond this, alone. It is very simple in principle. But, pregnant with potential!!!

Such a cunning method - did not see it coming. As a previous reviewer said best for a small group - bar environment or somewhere not too bright ideal.

I'm reading these reviews and wondering if these fellows saw the same product/performance I did...

I was not impressed and very disappointed. In my opinion, it only really works on camera, at a distance, or under very specific lighting conditions. I don't mean to be harsh but after I purchased it I immediately had a "well, this is one I'll never perform" realization. I cannot see this fooling anyone except the very visually challenge.

I have not performed this yet, but it is deviously clever. There are a few considerations, but on balance, this is brilliant!

While the concept is exactly what I expected, the application is fantastic. Much easier to put together than I had anticipated and the handling well thought out. As Brett points out in the video, this is not something to do all of the time or to repeat, but that is what makes the effect so "Precious."

I love this routine. I recently started to look at magic that can be done with one's own ring (I'm always wary of borrowing, and potentially damaging, someone else's ring) and this makes for a great addition to a finger ring set. It is simple and yet so strikingly visual. I have only performed it a handful of times, so far, but every time it gets a visceral reaction. After all, it's not often you can make a body part vanish right in front of the spectators. I can't say much more without disclosing the method but both method and handling are simple and straightforward. I highly recommend it.

Pretty insane visuals here that will definitely fool the eye. I'm a worker however so for me to find myself with the consistent lighting conditions with the specific outfit that matches the ring I'm wearing, I cannot perform this in every venue I'm working in.
