From the creator of “Snaps” and “Persona” comes a powerful mentalism routine that fits in your pocket.

Every magician, whether a professional or hobbyist, needs a pocket miracle that is always with them and ready at a moment's notice. The strongest tricks for these situations use items that are natural to carry, feel impromptu and are hard hitting. “Receipt Revelation” perfectly fits the bill as an EDC that isn’t just easy to do, but also entertaining and deeply fooling.

You take out several restaurant receipts, each with a different total cost, as well as a few bills, and invite your participant to freely select one. There is no forcing, and they can even change their mind. Whatever they choose, you always have the exact amount of cash to match the receipt’s total. While this might be considered a lucky coincidence, the surprising kicker proves you predicted their choice from the very beginning.

“Receipt Revelation” is direct, powerful mentalism with natural, relatable props. Slip it into your wallet and you will always be ready to perform. Along with teaching his routine, David shares how to customize the effect by making your own receipts. After the one-time initial setup, there is no reset and you’ll be ready to perform anytime, anywhere!

I admire David Jonathan for his endless displays of creativity. P-l-e-a-s-e don't let the fact this is a cheap download put you off. This is a super-strong piece of carry-around mentalism. The blocking, plotting and topping bits are priceless. You will use this.
There is an issue if you use UK currency, as (whisper it) this depends on all the bills being the same size. David covers this perfectly well in his explanation.
However. I've had an idea to use coins instead of notes. It does not take much ingenuity to work out how a coin purse can be used to tip out the requisite number of the right coins - hint: tiny magnets in the end corners. There, I've said too much. In which case, as I said to the woman in the back of my car last night, size doesn't matter.

Another winner from David. A great piece of EDC mentalism that can travel easily and without too much pocket clutter. Minimal arts & crafts but it’s only one time and it’s super simple. Made the gimmicks up in about 15-20 minutes. The price is fair but get it while it’s currently on sale- it’s an absolute steal. Recommended.

It's ok. Nothing that strong but it's alright. Not so good if you're in the uk as the 'alternative' method involves buying something else if you don't already have one.

  • Brian E asks: Already know this is a banger if it's David Jonathan.....How easy is the computer software/program to use at say my local library? I don't have a printer. Thanks, this looks fun

    • 1. David (creator) responds:You get a pdf to print the receipts I use. If you want to make your own, there is a website that’s very easy to use.
  • Les asks: Are there any mul----- Outs involved?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Please email us at [email protected] and we can discuss this further with you
  • Erik asks: Perhaps it’s just the circles I run in, but so few people I come across would have receipts in their wallets, much less be carrying actual cash. Does anyone find people surprised by that alone?

    • 1. Glenn responds:(picture of wallet: 5 receipts, two 20 dollar bills and four 5 dollar bills) I think if you have a reason (I've been saving receipts recently, for anything I might be able to claim as a deduction... my lawyer told me if I do any magic with the receipt I can write off whatever I spent... so let's see if we can do something maybe magical? ) then you can pull anything off, if you have an audience that's receptive.
    • 2. Alejandro responds:For business travelers it is actually quite common to have receipts and cash in their wallets. Used for expense reports, etc.
  • Michael asks: Examinable before and after?

    • 1. David (creator) responds:The bills are not examinable, but the kicker ending takes a lot of the heat off them. If you prefer the international currency handling, they would be examinable.
  • Marco asks: Neat effect. Would it work with international currency too, even considering tipping is not a custom where I live and it's definitely not something you normally add to receipts, and if so, does the download cover that? Thanks

    • 1. David (creator) responds:The handling is a bit different for international currency, but it is covered. You do learn how to customize your own receipts and you can make them without a tip - it’s not required.
