In a word: poetic. The Gypsy Thread is a classic effect for close-up magic, but Tony Clark’s brilliant innovation of using the string of a balloon makes this an ideal way to close a show for a huge auditorium, onstage. Used by some of the finest stage magicians in the industry, this effect allows you to get serious--sentimental, even--at the end of your show.

The effect is the same: you break the string of a balloon into small pieces and then restore them. But the helium balloon allows the restore to LOOK sensational, as the balloon floating upward embellished the restoration in a theatrical manner.

Good trick, but audio recording of the 1st presentation would have been better if clearer. Also, a bit more discussion about how to get the rolled up ball of thread to avoid falling apart when you release it from the stem of the balloon would be helpful.

I love the idea and effect! I'm not a huge fan of the gypsy thread effect normally, however, I do like this take on it! Especially since you can give the balloon away as a souvenir.
There is a couple of reasons I only gave this 4 stars: 1 - The video quality is not the greatest (not the biggest deal). 2 - The thread does not come with the purchase (which, I know, I should have guessed from this being a download) but what's more, isn't sold on Vanishing Inc's website, so have to pay extra on another site, plus shipping. I'm in NZ, so USD is quite a large amount compared to NZD.
