Baffling Block is honestly one of the most clever applications of the paddle principle and it's SO VISUAL!!! Highly recommended.

Just received my Baffling blocks hot rod. I love paddle tricks. This is very visible for kids. I like the fact that you can change the color,it is like having 3. I perform a lot of kid shows and it will always be in my pocket. Thank you for fast shipping. I would highly recommend this effect.

Just got this and replaced my hot rod stick with this. Great moves taught on the tutorial, too. I'm a paddle addict and this is in my top 2 now in my restaurant gigs.

So I've been doing the paddle move literally from the very beginning. The first trick I bought was color changing knives. I've always loved Paddle tricks and have many versions. This one is super fun. It's pretty much exactly what the description says.
The paddle is very well made. The legos that come with it aren't "real" legos - they're a generic lego, but no one will notice that and it's not a detriment at all. The quality is excellent. This was absolutely worth getting. Nothing earth-changing, but doing this for kids brings instant engagement. Even adults like it. I'm definitely glad I bought this.

Great tool to have in the 'ol toolbox. Kids love it and adults are usually baffled as well. A really fun take on the hot rod. If you entertain kids at all, it's a must have.

The instruction video is excellent with outstanding teaching and plenty of live performances to demonstrate variations in real world performance situations that sometimes require improvisation. The routines taught for the gimmick are a great improvement on the hot rod idea. Children really relate to the Lego pieces (very popular) and their experience with Lego makes the effect seem more impossible. The paddle is quite heavy and the handle is narrow so it’s not as well balanced as some other paddle tricks I’ve done (I’ve even used paper matches from a book of matches with dots drawn on - works really well!) However, with a little practice, I adjusted to this and the large size of the paddle does mean good visibility and impact. I would highly recommend that you practice quite a lot with the paddle before performing this even if you regularly use the paddle principle. Sweaty hands can make the paddle hand slip and you could easily flash if you are not careful and really confident with this gimmick. The pieces are not genuine Lego pieces but no one would be able to tell. They are lovely bright colours in sturdy plastic, indistinguishable from real Lego bricks. If you want to take the pieces off the paddle at any point, you need to keep a little tool with you to hand to help start to lever the pieces off the paddle. The pieces fit beautifully tightly as they need to. A flat headed watch maker’s screw driver is an ideal tool and would fit in the nice box in which the gimmick is supplied. You also get 6 spare blue bricks and 6 spare green bricks so you can do the colour transformation into red, green or blue across separate performances. A reset to a different colour would only take a minute if you had the tool I suggest handy, but you’d have to do that away from the audience. I performed this for my grandchildren recently and added an extra element that totally baffled their parents. I started with the set of six colour bricks in a little jewellery box. I got a spectator to roll a dice in one of those dice cups with a tight fitting lid at the start of the trick but the number was kept hidden while I placed the Lego pieces on the paddle. (As a convincer, you can accept some suggestions about the position of the colours from the children.) What I had actually done was use one of my Mental Dice so that I could position the force colour in the appropriate position on the paddle. Having ‘built’ the Lego model, the dice cup was opened to reveal a number that would locate the force colour on the paddle. This method totally flawed the adults as well as delighted the children (partly because of the greater audience participation.) My highly intelligent daughter asked me afterwards if I’d used a loaded dice but I was able to hand her the dice and cup (still on the table) for her to test. Like other Amazekids products, I highly recommend this. I think that the price is reasonable for a well made gimmick and the quality of the explanation video. The video includes suggestions for making the paddle appear and vanish. There are very helpful hints on how to use misdirection. The live performances appear to be filmed in a busy shopping mall where Eric Leclerc approaches individual children or small groups of children (presumably with the consent of their parents.) This showcases the taught routines beautifully.

Great quality, and wonderful use of the paddle move. My kid (LEGO fan) loved it when I did it for him. Can’t wait to use it at kids shows or just having it handy for walk-around where kids are present.

Although, be warned, the “LEGO” aren’t actual LEGO brand, they’re knock offs. But no one will be able to tell, and if they have the time to notice that it doesn’t say LEGO on each little dot, then you’re probably doing the trick wrong. ??

All in all, great trick, especially for that price.

I found the handle on this a little hard to grip in order to do the move, so I cut a black 260 pencil balloon to fit. Works perfectly. ????

I love this trick. It is so fun to perform. It is simply amazing. Kids love the trick. And it is so so so easy to perform. You just have to make sure that you don’t lose the little bricks because they are not Real Lego. Before I Bought it. I tried to build the trick myself I messed up so badly

I love paddle tricks, all kinds, even the hokey ones. Baffling Blocks helps modernize the old hot rod trick that you probably have in a drawer somewhere. If you are familiar with paddle tricks there is nothing new here expect the lego vibe. Teaching is solid and so is the paddle. The only complaint I have is the weight of the paddle itself. It's a little more weighty than your standard paddle so some moves that you are accustomed may be a little "laggy" for lack of a better word. so be prepared to adjust that muscle memory.

The paddle principale is oldy but goldy. The idea to do it with legos gives it a brand new touch. To be able to explain "I build my first magic trick myself with legos" is really cool and the audience immidiatly trusts you.

The "from one to six" force works in my language (german) with a small adjustment as well as it does in english.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is a fun trick for kids, and it is easy to master. Eric Leclerc entertaining, which makes it fun to watch. There are lots of performance suggestions and demonstrations. I will definitely start carrying this trick with me.

Pretty good, but it only gets 3 stars because 1) You really can't do it more than once per kid/group (and they always want you to do it again). 2) See #1. Cool idea, fun to perform, but after the first time, even young kids start to get suspicious. I do recommend it, but it's not a workhorse.

This was bought for my 10 year old granddaughter as it teaches a basic move which most magicians have used for years. The explanation of how to do it is clear and easy to follow, also, using LEGO is something which most children can relate to and gains their attention very quickly.

I love this trick! Kids are familiar with Legos, and the bright colors appeals to them. And this hot rod is big enough to show to a crowd of people, not just a few! Excellent!

Definitely worth adding to your repertoire. Paddle is a little bulky for small hands. Everybody should do a hot rod anyway (or some sort of paddle move trick) and this is perfect for kids. I have a tough time getting the “legos” off the paddle, but, that’s not necessary for an effect. The ability to change the force color is a big plus! Of course you can’t perform this twice for the same audience, you can’t perform any hot rod routine twice for the same audience.

This product feels very sturdy and not like a cheap piece of plastic like most other hot rods. The extra color pieces were a great addition and I love the added “prediction” you can make. I don’t perform much for kids so I won’t be getting too much use out of this but if your a children’s entertainer you can’t go wrong. The instruction video is to the point and you learn many subtletys and ways to use your paddle. The pieces included are NOT real lego but they are almost indistinguishable. If you really want you can replace them with actual lego pieces. Overall, if you are a children’s magician you can’t go wrong, your getting a great feeling pattle.

Great trick and easy enough for a child. I gave my grandson this trick for an early Christmas present and he plans to be the talk of his elementary School. He practiced and practiced until he had it down pat before showing it to his mom, dad and brother. Loves it!

This is a lot of fun to do for kids. We have a 4 year old and he and his friends get a kick out of it! The item is made with actual legos and easy to carry in a pocket. Highly recommended!

This simple paddle trick is just amazing – simple, but very effective - i visit people in hospital - not just children - it will be of great use - it is small, so tiny – you can take it everywhere - and there are sooo many ways to perform it! Great video tutorial, easy to understand and to perform!

Simple, effective, very visual. Many fun variations are possible. Instructions are good, but only tap into the possibilities of how to perform this trick. Easy for beginners. Can be mastered with a little practice. Make the routine natural to you. Kids and adults will love it. Fun to do, would recommend this as part of your routine.

I have been doing paddle tricks for a long time, but the props are always weirdly constructed, and sometimes the colors are strange. This solves all those problems. It's super clear for kids to understand what they are looking at, and the prop itself is well-constructed and durable. The video also offers great performance tips and options. Recommended.

Absolutely awesome trick. An instant hit with the kids. Easy to learn and perform. Multiple colours provided for resets, this is a trick you'll have forever so is well with the money. I've just performed it at my son's birthday party and he said it was his favourite trick out of all of them. Great instruction video provided by the creator too.

Finally a reason to have a paddle stick with different colours!! I love how you can change the force colour and I incorporate into my colouring books routine with some fun and humour involved. Kids understand Lego and really enjoy this and get it. Great product and easy to use.
