A signed coin escapes its confines via magic with this modern take on a beloved classic.
The magician places a borrowed and signed coin in the center of a hollow wooden frame. Both sides are covered and sealed with transparent sheets, before being securely locked with 4 rubber bands. Everything is then wrapped in a handkerchief.
Despite this impossible situation, you're still able to make this coin escape and reappear in another location.
This effect, which is often referred to as "Coin Escape" and "Crystal Coin Case", has a rich history. It's been featured in many beginners magic kits because it is amazing and easy to do. The prop is a bit bigger than the classic one. This gives a bit more room to larger coins (US half dollars or UK copper pennies) and makes the "move" a bit easier (at least it does for the size of my hands).
I'd like if the plastic "covers where a bit better quality and more clear (the ones that I got are just a bit "foggy") but they work.
It wold have been nice if the silk included was black on both sides.
Coin Shackles by TCC Magic and offered by Vanishing, Inc. is a welcomed remake and upgrade of the classic Coin Window / Coin Escape trick. Coin Shackles comes nicely packaged in a heavy duty black envelope with the link to the video tutorial imprinted under the envelope flap. Included in the package is an Ebony wood frame suitable for holding a U S half dollar or old English Penny (coins not included), two transparent PVC sheets, eight white rubber bands and an eleven inch silk handkerchief. A coin (which can be signed) is placed in the wood frame and secured on either side by the transparent sheets and four small rubber bands. The set up is placed and secured in the silk handkerchief. Magically, the coin escapes and when the silk is opened, the frame is still secured by the clear sheets and rubber bands. If needed, replacement size rubber bands can be found at Walmart. The instructional video tutorial is rather short but covers all the bases and should answer all your questions. Coin Shackles by TCC Magic is a reasonably priced quality made effect that is a perfect pocket trick and highly recommended.
