Fox's Handcuffs

The effect speaks for itself. It’s very visual and puzzling. That being said, this feels more like “magic for magicians”. I won’t be carrying it around. I bet if you were to show 1 group of laypeople Fox’s version, and another group of people the original CMHC, both groups would tell the same story; they’d remember it the same.

Also, I don’t mind dedicating a whole pocket to one effect, but this wouldn’t be it. You do have to be careful with the gimmick if you aren’t storing it in the box or something similar. An Altoids tin would be ideal as well. I suppose you could have maybe one other object in your pocket with this gimmick, but you will really risk the chance of bending it. I personally don’t want to have a whole box or Altoids tin in my already full pockets.

This is a solid effect and a fun, semi-easy method. If you don’t mind finding a solution to carrying it around, you’ll love it.

I am always on the look out for band magic and very happy I have this in my collection. Virtual shows are not my favourite way of performing, no worries, this is perfect for live close up. I have two buttons sewn in to the inside of my jacket which allows a perfect way to carry the gimmick while out and about. The tutorial has a respectful mention to Crazy Man's Handcuffs and the various versions including Fox's Handcuffs can be blended in to a great routine.
