This is probably a stupid question but what is the Solid Cup used for? a final load perhaps - mine weights a ton ;-)

Roughly: you perform your normal cup routine, and in general, you don't show the inside of the cup. Then you secretly switch your performance cup for the solid cup at the end of the routine. And you explain that the whole routine was impossible to do because, of course, the cup doesn't exist. It's a solid block of metal! Cue astonishment! I hope that helps!

The video explains that you simply have to screw off the base of the cup to change the magnet...Does this mean it's possible that the spectator could realise that the cup unscrews if they're handling it, or is it locked somehow to prevent the spec. twisting it?? Thanks!

Is it possible? Yes. But if you screw it on tight, it is highly unlikely that anyone would.

Will the slot function work with a US silver dollar?

You can adjust the size of the slot. That said, I do not have a cup on hand to test with a silver dollar.

What are the dimensions of the cup?

Dimensions: The cup has an outside diameter of 8 cm at the bottom, tapering to 5.7 cm at the top. The height is 9 cm. Please note that these are the external dimensions. Maximum ball diameter: The largest ball that fits completely inside the cup has a diameter of 5.7 cm. I hope that helps!

In one part of the video, the steel cup is held up - it looks like it has a seam although it could be a reflection. Do the cups have a 'seam' on one side?

There are no seams in the metal itself. It is not made using a mold—every Hybrid Cup is precision CNC-machined from a solid block of stainless steel. The sleeve does have a seam, but that is simply where it is stitched together and is part of the aesthetic design.

Are the same effects possible with the Rattle Cup bottom then with a Rubi Cup?

Yes and no. The Rubi Cup is extremely thin and features a layered design with no bevel on the back. Because of this, some techniques cannot be reproduced in exactly the same way. However, with a bit of creativity, we're confident you can achieve very similar effects and even develop your own unique handling.

Cup is multi functional. Are there any routines included specific to utilizing this gimmicked cup?

The instructional video includes guidance on how to properly maintain your cup, as well as basic handling techniques. It also demonstrates techniques that can only be achieved with the Hybrid Cup. At the moment, the video does not include any complete start-to-finish routines. VERY disappointing! The "premium travel case" (protective canister) arrived dented despite the outer package being intact. There was a small tear in the inner cardboard container, but that did not match the dent in the canister (the dent runs top-to-bottom across one side). After quite a bit of work, I was able to straighten out the dent so that it is barely visible. But the dent appears to have been on the canister before it was packed for shipping. When the cup is in its felt bag, it does not come out of the "premium travel case" easily -- it took me several minutes to work it out. The so-called travel case is therefore pretty useless to use for transporting it to/from a gig. The sleeve had multiple grease stains on it, as if the person who handled it to package it up had greasy fingers (like he or she had just eaten fried chicken). The same grease stains were on the additional sleeve that I ordered. I was able to clean the grease stains off and they now look presentable. The glue at the base of the extra sleeve did not hold at the folds of the material to make the "hem" at the edge had come undone. Again, I spent time to repair it and it now appears to be okay. The video description references 3 metal shims. My order only included 2, but had no description of why I would choose one versus another. I got 3 "Fillers" but no instructions on what those are for. I got an envelope marked "Extra Magnets" that had only one small magnet in it (but not multiple magnets as the label implies). In the Q&A, Sven's answer references an instructional video. No link to such a video has been provided. While the weight of the solid cup is impressive, I don't see how it will be possible to handle it convincingly with the same ease as the "normal" cup. It's a good thing that I have a copy of "The Amazing Miracles of Shigeo Takagi" by Richard Kaufman as the original routine (as I remember Jeff B shipping with an early model of the wooden cup version). Sloppy construction, sloppy packing, poor quality control, an apparently incomplete set. Not recommended.
