Hybrid - The Borrowed Bill Moving Hole

HYBRID is a unique magic trick. Here’s what happens:

You borrow a US bill. It’s signed by your helper on the front and reverse. Next, you use a hole punch and create a hole in the bill. Then the magic happens. You make the hole move across the front of the bill and with a simple flick, it visually jumps to its starting position. The bill is then restored and given back to the person who loaned it to you. Undamaged. And you don’t switch the bill.

I'm a gimmick junkie and buy so much of what is released just out of curiosity, never intending to perform it. So many of these types of gimmicks end up unused in our drawers. This, however, is something you will want to perform. It is extremely well made, quite simple to learn, and is astonishing. Even doing it for yourself looks amazing. I tend to find many of these types of gimmicks too finicky, fragile, or unconvincing. This is none of those -- I absolutely recommend it. One thing-- to properly perform this, you will need repositionable glue spray. So if you're eager to start learning/using this right after receiving, you should order some in advance.

    • 1. Danny responds:Very minimal slight needed! I taught this to a magician who was just starting out and he was performing it fully a week or so later after practice!

  • Mike asks: Does it work on Canadian plastic bills?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:This effect only works with American currency, I am afraid. As Danny has posted above, it is possible to customize it, but it doesn't come out of the box ready for Canadian bills.
    • 2. Danny responds:The gimmick comes in USD, however, if you are crafty, you can remove the USD bill and put the currency of your choice on in place!

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:That's a very difficult question to answer as every ten year old is different. I believe that it could be adapted for a ten-year-old, however.
