A wildly fooling and entertaining “Ring Off Rope” routine that will leave your audience stunned.

Using his own unique technique, “Jim Krenz’s Ring Off Rope” is one of the most convincing versions of the routine you’ll ever see. You can get it separately or save a ton of money by grabbing it as part of the “Jim Krenz Collection”.

The rope is knotted and pulled. In the eyes of the audience, there is no doubt that the ring is completely secured in place. Yet, with just a touch, the ring simply melts off the rope as the knot vanishes too. A beautiful moment of pure magic that is quick and easy to learn.

Customer reviews for Jim Krenz’s Ring Off Rope

Drew
Very clear, and was super clean to learn.
Philip
clean, ingenious, superb close-up.

This one is such a simple and fun routine to learn, the explanation video by Jim Krenz is more than nice and clearly explained, he really does a great job teaching it so that really anyone can understand it, and it is more then fair on what you get for this small price, even for those of you who are not into rope magic, it is still fun to have it in your arsenal for a every day carry, for friends, for family, a simple walk around, even for parlor stage magic and with a bit of imagination can be performed in so much many more ways then described in the video, the bonus on this is that you can performed it with a borrowed ring or object from a spectator and the magic is as almost hapening in them own hands, which is really so powerfull for them to experience, and to be honnest, my oppinion is that the explanation for this trick is sold with a key and the sky is the limit, and with some imagination you can get far on with this one,  i really like this simple little big magic trick and i am looking forward to add it to my arsenal as soon as i got it perfectly looking!
Tim
This will be a nice part of my rope routine and I plan to give it a try as soon as I have put in the necessary amount of practice. Thanks again to Vanishing Inc. for providing these .99 downloads! I missed the first ones but once I realized that these were being offered I have downloaded several!
Bruce
An impulse purchase of a daily special during the Sale. Certainly deceptive. After watching the performance, I went to replicate the trick and the knot held firm. Clearly, threading the rope back through the ring conveys the vague possibility that the knot is being undone rather than strengthened (a drawback), but this is not the solution. I expect that audience members will, like me, think they know how it might be done, but they'll fail to reproduce it.
Mike
Excellent take on the "Ring off Rope". I've used this with Scouts and Scout Leaders (who should be familiar with knots) and it was the perfect fooler ! I would definitely recommend this and especially with the Black Friday deal, great value for money.

Nice trick with ropes where it really looks like you are tying two legitimate knots around a ring. The good thing about it is that everything can be examined: the rope and of course the ring that can (and perhaps should) be borrowed. You can also examine everything once the trick is finished, as it resets completely cleanly. The subjective view plane in the making of the video is much appreciated.
Steven
Very clear explanation of an excellent illusion. Very practical.
Jack
Seems like a very practical and workable addition to a street or parlor performance to bridge a borrowed ring routine and a rope routine. I'll be giving this one a try to go from Justin Miller's "Divorce" into "School of Hard Knots" by Nick Diffatte.
Geoff
What a nice effect. Simple, clear explanation. I just added another wonderfully baffling phase to my ring & string routine. Thanks, Jim!
Paul
Really good simple trick with a single moment of magic. Good use of the over th shoulder camera makes it really clear as to what is going on. Well worth it as a balk friday download.
Phillip
Nice and easy ring off rope. Excellent explanation and additional performance hints. Great buy for the 0.99 download. I do not do a lot of rope magic but I will definitely add this to my carrying case!
Andrew
Jim's approach and presentation are straight and direct. The explanation was very clear and the camera angle perfect. Jim covers all the key points. I will definately be adding this to my walkabout repertoire!
Alonso
Works exactly as you see in the presentation. It would work perfectly as part of a rope or ring routine. Easy to understand even if you don't have audio and we all have ropes so you can include it to your repertoire inmediatly
Marc
This is a wonderfull tecnick that I wil use n my ring and rope routine.
Peter
smart and easy method. Beautiful illusion
Stephen
Cool
Paul
Something I've always fancied learning to add to my fairly limited rope repertoire, made nice and easy with a plain and simple method. Will done Jim Krenz.
John
Easy and every bit as visual as the demonstration video shows. This may become an arrow in my regular performances.
Thomas
Nice effect.

Jim Krenz's "Ring Off Rope" is a spellbinding addition to any magician's repertoire. The routine, included in the affordable "Jim Krenz Collection," is a triumph of visual deception. Krenz's unique technique makes this version one of the most convincing and entertaining renditions of the classic "Ring Off Rope."

The routine unfolds seamlessly as the rope is knotted and pulled, creating the illusion that the ring is securely fastened. However, with a mere touch, the ring effortlessly escapes, leaving both the audience and the vanished knot in awe. In just about 5 minutes, Krenz guides you through the intricacies of this enchanting routine, making it accessible for magicians of all skill levels.

Having snagged it for a mere buck during a sale, it's hard to complain about the price for such a captivating effect. Jim Krenz's "Ring Off Rope" offers a quick, easy-to-learn, and wildly fooling magical experience that's sure to leave your audience stunned and delighted. It's a steal that packs a punch in the world of close-up magic.
David
Great effect. Not very difficult and looks clean.
Gerard
Excellent, fun to do
Zach
Brilliant. Best ring off rope I’ve seen. The big plus here is spectator involvement which is sadly lacking in most ring off rope routines.
Stephen
A classic routine made to work well for close-up. It's a great bit and so well done. The instruction is clear and concise. Good stuff.
Wayne
Very Nice. Jim Krenz has done it again. Well thought out. I will add this to my current ring and rope routine. Magic with ordinary (ok, somewhat ordinary) objects is a plus.
Brandon
A very practical and easy to do ring off of rope move. No gimmicks needed as it is all in the handling, which is well within the capabilities of any magician. The only caveat is that Jim states it works best with a thicker rope as seen in the the demo video. I did try it with a shoestring and it does work okay with a round shoestring. It takes a little more finesse but it is doable to transfer to a thinner string as well.
Gregg
Great trick, easy to do and very convincing
Paul
Very good products and very helpful
Edward
Easy to follow video. Use a clothesline rope and dip the ends in Elmers glue and works really well. Once you've practiced the knot technique a bunch of times , you're good to go.
Aris
Very nice routine with the borrowed ring and a rope. Everything could be examinable by spectators.
Giuseppe
Not gonna lie, never worked with knots before so this took me way longer to get down than I’d like to admit lol

Having said that, I think this is awesome now that I can do it, after fiber optics I think this would be a great phase to do before ending with ring on shoelace. Also good misdirection by saying watch the ring go from my fist back on to the rope, they focus on the rope and say a magic word, what do ya know, the ring is on my shoelace.
Kathleen
Such a clever trick! Now to practice!
Calvin
Nice effect. Instructions could have been more detailed. for example, the position of the ring is important as well, not just the position of the rope.

Community questions about Jim Krenz’s Ring Off Rope

Have a question about this product? It's possible others do too. Ask here and other Vanishing Inc. Magic customers will be able to respond with assistance! Alternatively, email us and we can help too.

  • Leonard asks: Does this routine require any "sleight of hand" or "gimmicks"? Can a magic beginner learn this easily?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:It is relatively easy to perform and doesn't require any gimmicks. However, the tieing process is a little complicated to learn. Once you know it, it will be very easy.
  • Dale asks: Does this work with any borrowed ring?

    • 1. Jim (creator) responds:Any ring that will fit on the rope will work. Since the rope is tugged on, I recommend only borrowing sturdy rings, as a good tug might bend or warp a thin or weak ring.
