When you create a smash hit like Heirloom, it’s hard to come up with something else that beats it. But that’s just what Jamie Badman and Colin Miller have done.

Legacy resonates so well with audiences because of the story you tell. The glimpse back in time. It has that emotional hook that Vernon always urged people to find in their presentations.

This new, updated version of legacy includes all of the props and gimmicks you need, plus fully updated video instructions so that you can learn this fantastic trick within just a few minutes.

What Happens?

You tell your audience about your grandfather, who was a gambler. He performed one trick, and you have the same cards that he used to use. You always carry them with you because it makes you feel closer to him. You remove a wallet, and take out 5 antique cards. You explain how, even from the grave, your grandfather can still trick people. One of the five cards is freely selected (no force) by the spectator, and you then prove your grandfather knew which card they would pick. Every. Single. Time.

You get everything you need to perform this close up miracle in the box. Even the custom faux leather wallet - which has a special feature you need to make the trick work.

Legacy is easy to do and involves no sleight of hand. The method works is self-working!

Includes all props, gimmicks, and video instructions.

Customer reviews for Legacy

Jeff
The product is great. Really like the trick. My only comment would be the premise is old picture and old cards. Shouldn't the wallet look old as well if you say "this was my grandfather's wallet". Just an observation, not a complaint.
JD
This effect is a good one and the items that come with it are a good value for the money. So why only four stars? The wallet is not the one in the demonstrations. It has two things about it that make it look cheap and modern. The first is visible elastic straps that hang out of the wallet and make it awkward to open the wallet one handed on the table, as in the demonstrations. The second are shiny metal corners that draw attention to the gimmick and make the wallet look modern. The narrative around Legacy is that this is your grandfather’s wallet. Such a wallet did not exist in your grandfather’s time. I suspect this has everything to do with price point on the product. The wallet is not low quality but it also not believable as an old wallet (or perhaps even as an ungimmicked wallet). Bottom Line: I would buy this again. Would have rather paid another $20 for a better wallet, perhaps like the one in the demonstrations.
Len
I agree on the wallet with JD. The wallet in the original was better at least without the metal corners. It is not as deceptive as metal corners are on both sides and it makes it look like a 2 sided wallet.
The trick itself is great but the wallet lowers the effect a great deal.
Marco
I agree with most of the other reviews, the only problem is the wallet. The VInc embossing is just a sore thumb.
Phil
Good trick and routine. With regard to the wallet, I agree the metal corners don’t agree with the story of an old wallet, so I just took them off. (Easy, just crimped on)
Elijah
So I HATE to leave a bad review but.....the trick is fantastic but the wallet is horrible!
How are you suppose to tell this story about an old wallet and cards with a cheap brown leather wallet with these obvious black elastic strips across the top and bottom of the wallet. And yes the metal is not helpful.

If you look at the wallet in the pic above the leather is very dark so the elastic is not AS noticable. I am currently looking for a better wallet that will lend credibility to this great trick rather than making this look like an obvious and cheap trick.
So if you are willing to look for another wallet the trick will make you smile.
Brian
I didn't have an issue with the wallet as did some other reviewers. I like the trick, if you know the method there is no surprise here. I would recommend this for beginners more so than anyone else. Props are well constructed and the story line can be adapted to any performance style.
Ralph
perfect.
James
This is so well thought out and wonderfully out together! I have always loved these types of effects and this one is definitely one of the best. I can totally see this going in to my strolling set right away!
Marty
This is an interesting trick that has a lot more to it then a pick a card effect. I’m using my Climax Wallet instead of the wallet provided, so I don’t have to carry another wallet. The two inner flaps of the Climax Wallet are put to good use with the trick, although I did have to cut down the photographs slightly to fit within the plastic windows.

I could say that the price of the effect is a bit expensive for what you get but that's really most of the magic items these days. The impact of this routine is high for an EDC and even though it's a 1/5 chance, you just have to make it clear that the decision is locked in ahead of time and they have free choice of any outcome.

I've changed all the cards, the photos and the wallet as the presentation doesn't suit me (even though that's what they are selling) and I'm tired of hearing the grandfather / old texan gambler kind of story.

Simple and straightforward and you can dress it up with your own backstory. A bit of practice, and you’ll need to learn the choreography, but it won’t take long and you’ll be ready to go. Nicely made props too.
Peter
Great effect
Rick
I owned this trick several years ago, but unfortunately lost it at a gig. I’ve missed performing Legacy because I always got a great reaction from it, the whole routine could be done fairly quickly and it requires almost zero effort to reset. So I’ve purchased Legacy again and I’m very happy I did!
Nancy
I like the 5 out concept and the way the cards appear vintage. I am not liking the metal corners - can I take them out without damaging the wallet? - it catches too much attention and it does not add to a vintage "old grandpa's wallet" story.
Jim
Awesome effect. Considering you have a one-in-five chance to get it right, it still gets great reactions from the audience. I've only used it three times but it is definitely going into my regular repertoire!!!!
Mike
If you liked Heirloom, you’ll love this. VERY well made, clever gimmicks and entertaining routine.
Jesse
A good trick with great story to tell

Normaly I do not like tricks with multible "possibilitys". There is always the feeling that only one outcome is strong. But with this trick there is no weak ending. No matter which card the spectator chooses, the story you tell will conclude with a strong finish.

Andy teaches the trick in a short time but covers everything. It´s an easy trick to do. The magic lies within the story and the presentation.
Doug
I was quite happy to be able to find this effect after it being off the market for years.

I wouldn’t trade mine for anything!

It’s a beautiful effect that’s not difficult to do, but had a ghostly effect of people!

You can truly give them chills with this one!

The props are very well made and will last for a very long time!

I love this!
