Customer reviews for Liquify
Though only limited to your imagination, the basic effect of Liquify is this: a solid metal ring is rubbed on the palm of the hand, where it slowly melts down into a viscous liquid goo that drips off the magician's finger in an eye-popping visual moment. Then, the liquid is scraped upwards with the finger and visually wraps around it, turning back into the solid ring which can be fully examined and worn as normal jewellery.
It's a quick reality-bending moment that offers something totally different from your standard card or coin trick. Situationally, this could even be done with a borrowed ring if the gimmicks you have on you are a good visual match.
The basic mechanics and workings of Liquify are stunningly simple. There is no actual liquid involved in the method, and the gimmicks are small enough to take up minimal pocket space and be rung in and out at any moment. In essence, Tobias has found novel ways of turning thimble magic techniques and principles into something completely new and exciting.
Murphy's has produced a well-made set of gimmicks that should last forever with proper care, with multiple colours of metal rings and Liquify units provided for a wide variety of circumstances. You can use these to melt the screen of a borrowed phone, turn melted chocolate or liquid ketchup or Elmer's glue into a solid ring, and the list goes on. Creative magicians will find their own fun uses for these versatile gimmicks.
If you love sleight of hand close-up magic and want something unlike anything else in your repertoire, this might be the thing for you.
It's quite a shocking piece for people to witness and really catches them off-guard. The variety in colours of the gimmicks allow for use in many situations. One obviously does have to prepare in advance for those potential situations but it is a small price to pay for the reactions received.
The instructional download quality is of a high standard and Tobias as expected will go through every bit of detail to ensure the owner of this product as the best chance to succeed.
Overall, a unique and memorable piece for your audiences. Worthy to include in any close-up/walk-around set.
