This is an unusual Tenyo item in that, as you likely realize, it is a prop you might actually use in performance! It's also unusual to us because it involves more sleight-of-hand than Tenyo usually requires. Nothing major--but you must be able to do a decent false transfer.
We're just absolutely astounded by the quality of that little coaster. Wow! It really looks amazing when you do that penetration.

Newbie magician, newbie review: This is my first review of any magic item ever. This is one of the first gimmicks I've ever purchased in my late in life Renaissance as a magician, so take this brief review for what it is.
The gimmick works exactly as advertised and easily fooled my jaded wife with no issues. The machined tolerances of the device are such that the underlying mechanism is pretty undetectable (other than the fact that you're placing a glass on a foreign object!). It's a very simple and elegant design.
Even if you're a beginner, or just bad at sleight of hand, the necessary false transfer is pretty trivial and observers are going to be focusing on the action in the glass anyway. You can use any glass that fits inside the base of the disc but the directions rightfully recommend something a bit sturdy to handle the action.
Though it's a bit on the flimsy side, my guess is that it should last quite a long time. Because of its fine tolerances, repair might be possible but I wouldn't bet on it.
You're pretty much restricted to coins that are the size of a US 25 cent piece (quarter) both in diameter in thickness. I wanted to use this with another object of small size but it was a couple of millimeters too wide and too thick. If this could have handled a US 50 cent piece I would have been fine. That's not a flaw, but knowing the size restriction might better inform your purchase.
Conclusion: Very cool. Works as advertised and I can easily see this used by rank amateurs (me) to even advanced prestidigitators (did I spell that right?).
