Tenyo 2023 - Mister Danger

What a great trick! This is one of the best Tenyo items I've bought in years. Even knowing how it works, it seems like it shouldn't. If Tenyo could release five tricks each year that were at this level, they'd have a lot more of my money! The swords are a bit chintzy though--I might upgrade them with some metal cocktail swords from Amazon.

Mister Danger is a great trick (I hate that word). The instructions, unless you read Japanese, which must be printed from your computer suggest doing the effect for yourself before reading the method. What fun. You will be most impressed.
I performed this for the first time today before a group of lunch friends and they were all floored. I used the tissue paper version. One person wanted a close look so the tissue helped. Another briefly mentioned the clips but it passed unnoticed.
Several reviews mention the difficulty of removing the clips. I also had trouble the first few times but after that it all worked easily and well. Be patient and don't force anything. This is a really fun effect. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Fun magic prop. Perfect for young budding magicians entering the hobby or a crusty guy like me foolig friends. It is quite a nice design and even someone familiar with magic might have a bit of trouble figuring it out at first demonstration. I bought an extra just to give to a friend's son who loves magic!

This is one of the better Tenyo effects for sure. This is a great bit of fun when I have friends over and I have a silly story about the man who does the gents loo sign wanted to live a more exciting life. I always do the tissue version, it just plays way stronger.

The clips that lock the case shut are stiff to begin with, like others have said, don't force anything.

I love that the first time you do it, its possible to fool yourself and that Tenyo cleverly hide the exact secret so you can try the trick first - you will see what I mean when you read the English instructions which appeared in my downloads here on Vanishing Inc upon purchase which saves having to mess with product ID's and passcodes on Tenyos site.

As I age and deal with health issues, my magic venues have been reduced from school and library type shows to more intimate close-up venues where I can sit at my close-up table and perform a variety of close-up effects. Of course, cards, coins, rope tricks, sponge balls, cups & balls, chop cup (etc.) are obviously common offerings, but I am always on the lookout for unique and unusual effects to add to my repertoire. Viola! Tenyo’s ‘Mr. Danger’ certainly fits the bill and I can honestly say that it is a hit with the young and old alike. It’s compact, resets itself, fun to perform, lends itself to a variety of patter possibilities, it’s intriguing, mystifying and very reasonably priced. Those attributes, along with Vanishing, Inc.’s excellent customer service, make Mr. Danger worthy of consideration. Highly recommended.

This is a cute and surprising trick from Tenyo. Yes, the clips are very hard to place and remove. Maybe that will improve with time, but it is difficult to perform this right out of the box. It is not a professional-level effect. Good for kids and young audiences. Very difficult for anyone to figure out just where the plastic-man must go for this to work. Very clever. Still, it is obviously a mechanical effect
and doesn't pair well with any of my routines. An interesting curiosity.
