Profiteer

The Mystery Box is a classic plot that most magicians have in their repertoire. Having a freely selected, signed card, appear miraculously in an isolated container is a plot that is easy to follow, and it drives magicians and laypeople crazy. Adrian Vega, the creator of SCAANDAL, has taken this concept to the extreme by developing a Mystery Box without a box! He has created the most organic version we have ever seen. All of the items in play make perfect sense and we guarantee that it will become a staple in card transportations and predictions. The switch is so invisible that not only is it fun to perform, but it will hold up on a TV set even if they use slow motion cameras!
- Always ready to perform
- Use it with billets, predictions, and any type of playing card, fully customizable
- No elastics
- Takes up little pocket space
- Objects are organic in everyday situations
- Gimmick is instantly reset and ready for next performance
Profiteer is the ultimate bar bet, and the best part, you'll never lose!

Jeff asks: What is the difference between this and Switch One?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Apart from them being totally different effects, the gimmicks are different. Switch One's main effect is any card named under a glass. With Profiteer, you need to carry a specific gimmick with you. Switch One's switch can not only be done with the taught effects but can be applied to other routines.
Sarin asks: Does this can apply to billet? Like "Pocket Watch" style effect? Can it replace the "load" wallet?
- 1. Dottore responds:It could apply to billets, but that would be up to you to adapt.
Alec asks: Looking to do this on stage with a spectator next to me. Would this work? Yes, the stage is lit well.
- 1. Sgkyduyen responds:It will work, but I think this trick is suitable for close-up magic
David asks: Does he teach the mercury fold in the instructions?
- 1. Sgkyduyen responds:He did :)
Klas asks: Is there a download one can access directly?
- 1. Sgkyduyen responds:It comes with online instruction.
Sydney asks: I am the type of person who likes gimmicks that I can make myself. Is there items inside the box to make another gimmick? Will I be able to make one with items bought from a staples or office depot?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You receive enough materials to make two Profiteers (one for left handed use and one for right handed use). With some arts & crafts "DIY" skills, yes, you should be able to use items from an office supply store.
Conway asks: Can this be done with polymer ('plastic') bank notes, as used in Australia and elsewhere?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:It can, as long as you stay away from the transparent sections.
Jesper asks: Can any currency be used to make the bet? For me it would look strange if I bet dollars instead of euros.
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Since you make the gimmick up, you should be able to make it with Euros without any issues.
Joseph asks: How solid is the gimmick? With basic care, would it eventually break down or would it last for a long time?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:With care, it should last a very long time.
Michael asks: What concerns me is how the bills repeatedly go out of focus on the trailer at times when it seems that focus could have been maintained on both the lifted card and the bills. Is the gimmick obvious? Is it best in low light?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Modern cameras (and lighting) are unforgiving. Done in normal situations, nothing unusual will be seen. I would feel utterly confident performing this in any bar or restaurant. I would be careful in a brightly lit photography studio.
