Our head craftsman Brian Watson is a wildly-talented creator and performer that has been obsessed with the Okito Box since he was a kid. The problem is, he always struggled with the fact that the Okito Box looks like…well, a magic prop. So, he created “ProKito Box”, the Professional Okito Box he’s always wanted and we’re proud to offer it as a Vanishing Inc. exclusive product.

For more than 30 years, Brian has dedicated his life to creating magic props that are both practical AND elegant. He obsesses over the detail and refuses to sacrifice quality. The props he attaches his name to, like his beloved Cups and Balls set, must handle as good as they look.

The PROKITO box checks all the boxes - beautifully made and finished, correctly weighted (not too heavy or too light) and easy to handle, plus it easily accommodates both coins and sh*lls. A PLUS for me is that it is also deep enough to hold a borrowed ring, making it the perfect "ring box" for vanishes, transpositions and more. Well done!

Beautiful okito coin box, with amazing work that turns it into art. Nice spacing to give the coins the ability to shake in the box… which truly is helpful.

You don’t just get the box. The teaching around the routine and moves found within helps raise the value of this product.

The ProKito coin box was worth the long wait. It has achieved a balance between aesthetics and functionality. ProKito has a classic look while handing exceptionally well. The accompanying video routines include several creative and powerful routines – however, I believe that the explanations would have benefited from verbal or written narration.

I missed out getting PROKITO when it was released. I was thrilled when I received the email from Vanishing Inc. that it was back in stock. I didn't even have to think twice about hitting the order button. This piece of "art" is beautifully crafted. I have done a coin box effect for a long time. Taking out PROKITO gets attention immediately. It us a great conversation starter, even before the magic begins.
I do agree with another comment made about the video. It is a nice demonstration, but I wish there would have been voice or text to accompany the routine.

Very classy looking routines. A couple of them not even on a close up mat and another with something that I never ever would have thought of using an Okito Box!
Some very beautiful moves that now I definitely am going to have to do some practicing.
The box itself is very nice looking and even though it is an Okito Box it has a look of elegance that is different from your usual brass box. While still a magic prop it looks to compliment the coins and not just look like a magic prop.

I collect coin boxes still have my Johnson set I bought 40 years ago. This box is cool because of the design just being a regular coin box. However, I much prefer the TCC M Box. I have the M box that is a Boston and Slot box rolled into one box.
Like I wrote above this one is a cool box for the design. It is light and can do all the standard Okito moves really well.
It will generate interesting comments based on the design. A great one to add to your coin box collection.

This is now top of my magic list, it's Amazing and a lovely design quality. also comes with a great video production plenty of great routines very cool dude performing all of these the video all start with demos all followed by full tutorials so although I was aware of okito boxes id never seen any performances of these being used untill vanish Inc bought out Andi Gladwins Masterclass ever since I watched Andis performance and what he taught using the okito box ive always wanted to get one finally i have, so I re visited andi masterclass funny thing is in the introduction to the okito box he started by talking about general practicing magic routines and what I would call the mind set one of the first thinks Andi said it's therapy and very enjoyable to practice, so when I got this it was exactly how I felt is that I can't wait to start practicing using this as I'm still amazed by Andis routines and the teaching in this video he is also a fantastic teacher too. it is so mesmorizing and so gracefully to watch And this one is designed so you can use shells Too, I'm so excited and so enjoying the learning using this prokito its awesome.

I love me an okito box all shapes and sizes and configurations. It's handmade so don't expect perfection. Its perfect in many ways, the loose lid, slightky oversized to fit a turtle and for the coins to shake within the box. So happy when I saw this is in stock. Lovely piece of magic.

This is by far the smoothest, coolest, and expertly crafted Okito Box I’ve ever worked with. 100% thrilled with it. And the video tutorials are some of the cleverest and most diabolical ingenious routines I’ve seen with an Okito in a very long time!! Wonderful!!! Absolutely spectacular product!!

I have waited for so long before these came back in stock. This is absolutely beautiful. I would prefer if the box is a little heavier, I am used to the brass one from Copeland, but the Prokito works brilliantly.

I’ve been wanting a ProKito since it first release many years ago. So when I saw a new batch had arrived I immediately ordered it.

Unfortunately, mine had some minor defects that kept it from working smoothly. Vanishing Inc’s support team was great and provided a replacement immediately. Unfortunately this one two had some imperfections that made the lid to get stuck in certain position.

After two more replacements I finally requested a refund.

I really wanted this prop and applaud Vanishing Inc’s team for trying hard to fulfill the order but I guess these are some of the challenges when ordering hand made props.

Hopefully some of these defects can be removed in a future batch and I’ll finally be able to add the ProKito box to my magic bag

I had, I believe - probably, the same defect issue that another reviewer had with the box that gave only two stars. The lid didn't fit the box on either the top or bottom. When I got it it was so tight that on removing the lid it flew out of my hand twice dinging the lid at the lip. I filed the edges down where the lid fits with a fine file doing absolutely no visible marks. I pressed the ding out of the lid with a rounded part of a tool
( Swiss Victorinox multi- tool ). The box is perfect now with absolutely no visible marks beyond a very tiny ding mark on the lid which is to me completely acceptable. I took away a star because I had to put in an hour to an hour and a half of work. I can understand asking for a refund or replacement because if by trying to fix the box and it became damaged a refund or replacement might be rejected by the seller however I gave it four stars because it does look great and now is in perfect working condition. Regardless of the work it took, I am very happy with this box.

A really nice box that looks old and has a nice wait to it. The biggest plus in my opinion is the fact that it will hold an old English penny shell, some box’s don’t even hold an English penny due to the slight size difference so holding the shell as well gives me another set of coins to use. The download is also excellent, there is a lot of information without being to long winded.

Not quite excellent but far better than good or pretty good.

Aside from the unique appearance which would make the box fit in well in Ren or Celtic Fair environments, the box holds five half dollars or pre-decimal half-crowns. which means you can use it for routines that require more than four coins in the box. (E.g., several in Blenkinsopp's "Coin & Box" book.) It holds an expanded half-dollar shell even with five halves, (but not a half-crown shell), which is another big plus.

What prevents this from being excellent for me is two things: no slot, and the heft is a bit less than you get with brass. I like the sturdy feel of brass Okito boxes.

I can't comment on the video as I haven't watched it yet, but I have heard it is excellent.

    • 1. Karen responds:That's a very subjective question. What exactly does "take a beating mean?" In normal everyday use, it's fine. I've been using the same one for 5 years and I'm not careful with it. If it's dropped from a height on concrete, then the lid may damage around the edge (like most others probably would). However for everyday use, it's fine.
