Silk to Egg (Tenyo)

The egg is well made and has no seam. The egg is a bit on the smaller side though, so if you are planning on switching to a real egg in your routine, you might want to use medium sized chicken eggs. Is about 30% smaller than a large chicken egg. I have performed this trick a ton and nobody seems to notice the change in size of the egg. Lol

Bought this to replace a broken "fake egg." It comes with but one silk and, contrary to the blurb, does not come with instructions in English. That said, the Japanese instructions have sufficient drawings to make the handling clear. This is NOT the classic sucker effect, but rather a simple — too simple — transformation of a silk into an egg. The egg WILL hold an 18" silk and the hole in the egg is large enough to allow the silk to enter easily and small enough to be covered by your thumb. The egg IS small, but whatever the tradeoff, I think it's worth it as the size makes the switch for the classic routine all the easier.
