Six Outs

When Blake performed his routine with “Six Outs” at Magifest 2019, a packed room of hundreds of magicians audibly gasped. It seemed too impossible, almost as if it was stooged… but it wasn’t.
“Six Outs” is a gimmick which allows you to reveal six totally different pieces of information on what looks like a single sheet of card.
Here’s an example of what you can do with it: Have a spectator take out their phone, their wallet and their ring. You ask them to take one to put in their pocket, the other they hold in their hand, and the other, you tell them to balance on their head. They make all of the decisions. Of course, you predict exactly what decisions they made as you open up your prediction and show the audience. Of course, this is just one routine possible. The gimmick comes blank so you can write on it whatever you want, in any language!
The gimmick you receive has been very carefully made to make sure it is durable and easy to use. It is made from Tyvek (a special plastic like paper) which will not tear so you can rest assured that the gimmick is long lasting.
On the video instruction, Blake will teach you how to setup and use your gimmick so you can wow audiences with “Six Outs”, no matter the size of the crowd.

Keith asks: If you are "back lit" is there a chance the audience could see other writing on the paper?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:There is a very small change of the audience seeing the other writing. Blake goes over different markers that you should use on the Tyvek to prevent this.
Kam asks: Does it come ready to go, also how hard is it
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:"The gimmick you receive has been very carefully made to make sure it is durable and easy to use. It is made from Tyvek (a special plastic like paper) which will not tear so you can rest assured that the gimmick is long lasting." And it's very easy. If you can open folded paper, you can do it.
Matthew asks: Is it possible to make this gimmick on our own? Are there any teachings for doing so?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:"On the video instruction, Blake will teach you how to setup and use your gimmick so you can wow audiences with “Six Outs”, no matter the size of the crowd."

James asks: I have seen may good answers here do have one if I was to write in say pencil does it allow for erasing to write something else? Thanks in advance for any help to this idea.
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:I don’t think pencil would show up for an audience so wouldn’t recommend doing this.
Ralph asks: Is it possible to use adhesive lettering to enable you to change the predictions?
Robert asks: While intrigued, I'm trying to wrap my head around the value at $80 for this given that once you commit to a single routine (i.e. ring/watch/phone), that's all you can ever do with it. I would think of it as a utility device if it weren't a one-trick pony (i.e. the James Cordon performance, while cute, was over before it was started). Are there other routines or ideas included in the video instructions? Like I said, I'm very intrigued but trying to understand the value.
- 1. Michael responds:A possible way to make this item more versatile is as follows: mark the prediction one through six as shown in the vdieo demo. Lets's say you are doing the ring/watch/phone routine. You can ask 6 different audience members the variations that the person can hold/balance the ring/watch/phone. For each variation you can write the variation on a black board or large drawing paper. On top of each variance you can write 1, 2, 3 etc. until you have reached six variations. You then can ask a random spectator or the one holding the ring/watch/phone to freely select 1 of the 6 variations. Let's say the person selects 4. THe person then holds/balance the objects as stated in variation 4. You have someone take out the prediction from the envelope and you open it up to reveal your prediction 4 which matches the chosen variation. You can then chagne the routine using different objects, playing cards, etc. without changing the prediction. OF course it is not as strong as writing the actual objects as the prediction but this is one way of making this more versatile and less restrictive. I hope this was helpful.
- 2. Robert responds:Thanks Michael. That is helpful.
Wayne asks: I have Marc Oberon’s similar idea “12 way out”. Wondering how many prediction sheets come with package? Are/will additional sheets be sold separately ? Are routines included? (This May have been mentioned in the ad copy)
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You get one gimmick. At the moment, they are not sold separately. Routines are included.
Robert asks: Does the Tyvek material allow you to reuse the surface for different routines? Or is it locked based on what you write the first time out?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:It has the same properties as normal paper, so the writing will stay on there.
- 2. Daniel responds:Is it possible to use adhesive lettering to enable you to change the predictions?
