Triad Coins
Triad Coins

Imagine what it would look like if you could REALLY vanish coins into thin air. Then watch this trailer.
Triad Coins is how this should, and does, look.
No funny moves. No fast motion. No camera edits.
You roll back your sleeves. You show three coins. One by one, they just ... disappear. Triad Coins is a revelation in coin magic.
Triad Coins is a double-shell and coin system that allows you to produce, vanish, or change three coins at will. You can show BOTH hands entirely empty after the last vanish, and perform the effect in short sleeves. Joshua Jay has honed this miracle over a ten-year period, and the result is an elegant, smooth, and extremely deceptive routine, possible ONLY with Triad Coins.
If you have ever seen Joshua Jay lecture, this is the trick he closes with. Long available ONLY through Joshua Jay directly, Vanishing Inc. Magic is proud to release Triad Coins to the world of magicians.
- Surprisingly easy to perform
- 3 routines included
- Each set is precision-made by hand
Premium Options Available
While this set comes in a US Kennedy Half Dollar, we also have premium "Morgan Dollar Triads" and "Walking Liberty Triads" available.
Customer reviews for Triad Coins
The instructions are clear and sufficient.
All in all, a job well done Josh. As usual.
The routine is great magic. If all you do is the three coin vanish (shown on the video) you will love them. If you decide to do the appearance or coins across you will realize that they are worth far, far more than the asking price. The routine is well within the range of any mid-level coin worker (and really, any beginner).
This has my highest recommendation and I would have been happy had I paid twice and perhaps even three times the price. I try not to overstate the value of props or routines, but this may be the best piece that I have ever purchased from Vink (and I have bought a lot). You will not be disappointed.
The gimmicks do "talk" a little bit but other than that it is a great design! I can't put it down and I take it with me everywhere!
Keep up the magic!!
I can assure you that it is an exceptional trick,
now and become one of my favorites in my performances.
Thank you
Had the item been better made, this would be magnificent.

This effect never fails to leave my audience in awe of my sleight of hand. *wink, wink.
The design of this effect ensures with a bit of practice and awareness of your angles you too can perform the astonishing triad coins just like Joshua Jay!
A classic coin production and disappearing routine, with a new twist, using an old idea. As always Mr. Jay does not disappoint. A clearly explained method, with a very well thought out gimmick.
Do yourself a favor, and buy this. You will not be disappointed, and you can add a classic coin routine to your show. A real win win.

I know know, that was probably one of the worst mistakes I ever made Sometimes you don't appreciate greatness until you see it. Every now and then a Magician comes along who breaks the boundaries with new thinking and new ideas, sutch a man is Joshua Jay.
His lecture in Toronto on Friday November 11 2022 simply put, was the best lecture I ever attended. My only regret was I did not bring enough cash to purchase more of his products. This was more than just a lecture, it was a stellar performance. I did by the Triad Coins and can say I'm more than pleased with the quality of the coins, his video goes into every minute detail of the handling and offers several other ideas with the coins. Last, all I can say is buy it today.
I don’t have those coin props anymore. And now 25 years later, I decide to purchase triad coins. It is the greatest. As a magician who just does it for fun,I find every opportunity to perform Triad coins. It’s quick and the person I perform it for smiles and is entertained, and then she goes back to work. That’s right! My audience is just people I come in contact at the store, at the bank, or at the bar.
I miss doing coin magic, and what better way to return to coin magic then to get Triad coins. I don’t need a table. I can just do it right in front of their eyes on the other side of the checkout counter where they stand. Oh! And yes! My triad coins go inside my pro carrier!
After the last vanish, I reproduce the coin and then do a "coin to pocket and back to hand" twice to ditch both shells. I then do a single coin flurry ending with a change to a Silver Extraction coin to end the routine. I use an imaginary lighter to heat the Silver Extraction coin before revealing it in my hand.
There is lots of room for interesting story telling with this coin set. My favorite story is about storing my coins in cyber-space. Then for the Silver Extraction coin I just store the silver in cyber-space and keep the transparent coin as a receipt.
No funny moves and an elegant management of the routine make this effect a great opener for your show.
Nevertheless some noise could happen so I don't recommend Triad Coins for quiet environments with few people involved (or really close ;)).
Well done Joshua and VI colleagues!

It's just a cardboard sleeve and insert. Not a massive issue but was for me as I wanted to be able to store this easily and for transport. As someone who performs in bars and social settings a cardboard sleeve won't last a week.
Coins are really good quality and instructions are short but good, knocking off a star for misleading and copy. Off to look to find a storage solution for my new coinsm
Production and vanishing of 3 coins. What else?
Quality of the coins is really good, the ones getting the expensive versions must be pros or something, for the mortals the quality of these triad coins are just perfect. Not saying I am not really intrigued about the quality of the other ones :). Who knows, may end up getting the "upgraded" version at some point in time.
Anyways, so quality is good, teaching is really good too. Exactly how I like it, to the point but covering every single detail.
Things to consider: of course as most coin magic, there are some angles to consider, and some sound to consider/manage as well. So you really need to think about that before performing this effect. You will also need to practice (probably not a lot, and certainly that would depend on how good you want your performance to be looking like). Just saying this is not right out of the box, unless you already have some good experience in coin magic, which in my view, is actually good thing ( I really like the effects you need to put some time to look like a pro -even when you are not one :)).
This effect is pure magic, and yes probably (once mastered) an EDC looking for the right time/place to amaze people.
Enjoy!
Joshua Jay is a genius. This and Inferno are proof, if needed, that his thinking is second to none.
I cannot wait to get this out into the real world.
Well done Vanishing Inc. for creating some of the best magic imaginable! Keep up the amazing work guys.
Plus it's Joshua jay. You know it's gonna pack small and impact big if done well.
The reason I left a star off was because the gimmick is advertised as being “precision made by hand” - well that’s not true, both shells are uneven around the circumference, as in they wouldn’t sit flush on a level surface. I contacted VI about this and sent photos only to be told that they are all like that, really!?
I bought Triad Coins on a Black Friday deal and I‘ve decided to keep them rather than exchange them, preformed correctly no spectator should be close to examining them anyway, it’s just a shame as I was expecting a better quality product as advertised.
I am always looking for effects that involve the spectator and allow me to end clean, and this does that!
Great work Joshua Jay and VI. If you ever consider remaking the larger version ($1 coins), I'd LOVE a set. Those would look great for close-up!

Triad Coins is far more than a trick. It's a set of masterfully crafted coins by Roy Kueppers, the gold standard who it comes to coin gaffs. This set is a coin workers dream!
If you are up in the air about buying this or something else, just think about the times you have said "If I could go back, I would have just bought this instead of that/these." This is one of those times!

Mark asks: I have both half dollar and quarter Triad coin set. Sometimes I have issues with the quarter set. The coin in the smaller shell will not separate from the shell. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Please email us at Wizards@vanishingincmagic.com to discuss this
Mark asks: On the tutorial video, Josh mentions that he purchased his watch band on Amazon. Would you please provide a link to that band? Thanks
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Look up Timex stretch band watch and you'll find plenty!
Bud asks: Why is an extra quarter included with the Triad Coins trick?
- 1. Bud responds:I am answering my own question. V.M. has no idea why there was an extra quarter. I replied, "thank you".
Earl asks: Are all the versions of these coins made by Roy Kueppers
- 1. Jim responds:Our's are.
Zane asks: this comes with three coins right?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Yes
Erica asks: does it require a watch or/and long sleeves
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:For one of the vanishes, you can use a watch but there are other vanishes without one.
Alan asks: Am I right in thinking that both turtles are modified compared to say Hopping Halves, making them easier to use in when not in the pocket?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Please email us at wizards@vanishingincmagic.com as we will try to assist with your question
Stanley asks: This might sound stupid, but what are the angles like on this? Can there be someone behind me, or does it work like normal turtles?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:You do not want anyone behind you.
Daniel asks: What happened to the protective storage unit? Says it comes with one in ad copy and shows a plastic storage case but all I got was a cardboard sleeve which isn't going to last long.
- 1. Savino responds:The cardboard holder is the current storage unit—it has foam to hold the nested gimmick.
- 2. Daniel responds:Thanks savino, unfortunately the cardboard just slides off and the coins fall out. Wish they would update ad copy on this one as isn't protective at all
- 3. Peter responds:Vanishing Inc was asked the last time these were advertised and they didn’t update the ad copy. It is naughty. They do seem to have short memories.
- 4. Peter responds:Correction! I’ve checked the add copy again and can’t see where the original (rather lovely) case is mentioned. I can only assume that the questions and answers originally published are included in this latest release. My apologies.
Carl asks: Is a production of the coins taught as well, or is it just the vanishing sequence?
- 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds:Yes, the whole routine is taught in full detail.
