These coins are pure magic. Received this when Josh was in South Africa. The quality of the shells are superb. I've dropped them twice by accident and they were still perfect.

The instructions are clear and sufficient.

This is one excellent product. Workers are going to love this. The coins are very well made and they behave exactly as they are supposed to. You can pretty much perform with these in any setting and the way the coins work together cleans up so so much of what I don't like about coin magic. Joshua Jay's solution for the last coin is simple, practical, and deceptive. Oh yeah, and the core routine is within the grasp of a beginner. If you do coins you should get this. If you don't do coins and just want one routine that's not cards you should get this. I bought another set of coins that nest like this and paid a great deal more for them (and I mean a great deal more). While the purest might be able to see some small subtle differences, they are virtually the same and some might argue that the Triad coins are better.
The routine is great magic. If all you do is the three coin vanish (shown on the video) you will love them. If you decide to do the appearance or coins across you will realize that they are worth far, far more than the asking price. The routine is well within the range of any mid-level coin worker (and really, any beginner).
This has my highest recommendation and I would have been happy had I paid twice and perhaps even three times the price. I try not to overstate the value of props or routines, but this may be the best piece that I have ever purchased from Vink (and I have bought a lot). You will not be disappointed.

This is by far one of the greatest coin routine I ever bought. It takes a good amount of practise to make it look as clean as in Joshuas performance but with a little time and motivation you can master it very quickly. It's so strong, I'll never leave home without this!

Received the Triad Coins set recently and started to practice with them. I love the effect, but after watching the instructional video a couple of times I notice that despite Joshua's claim that the coins are silent, I hear them clanging together quite a bit when I make them appear. Any advice from fellow posters on how to eliminate the noise? Thank you.

Joshua Jay has done a great job with these coins. The routines are great. You can do so much with these. I had it down within ten minutes and have wowed my friends and family!

The gimmicks do "talk" a little bit but other than that it is a great design! I can't put it down and I take it with me everywhere!

This is a beautifuly made trick. It’s one of the most ingenious coin production and vanish. I give this 4 stars because you have to have a watch of wrist band. The best that I recommend is a twistoflex band. In all this is an awesome trick. If you like real magic, this is the trick for you

The trick itself is great, in theory, but the (UK 10p) item I received was not of the quality suggested, menaing in practice it was easily spotted.

Had the item been better made, this would be magnificent.

For people interested in buying the 50c euro coin. The quality of the coins is really good, unfortunately I don't know if this is a problem of the product in general or just for this type of coins, but they make a lot of noise – and a particular revealing noise – during the move required to make them disappear. For this reason is I don't recommend their use in a close-up situation, unless you're performing in a really loud environment.

These cons are great for close-up magic. The directions were easy to understand and I was performing the trick in no time. Also, because of their size, it is a great trick to keep on you (along with your favorite deck of cards) any take out whenever needed.

I hate coins and suck at coin sleights, but this is great. This is for someone who is just starting out in coin magic and wants to do some impressive stuff without learning a million coin sleights. Although it is pricy, it is a good investment if you need a gap to fill in your virtual or close-up shows.

Triad coins are a great trick! They are wonderfully made, easy to use, and you will soon be performing miracles with them. The only problem is that they have a bit of noise to them which you have you have to be careful about. That being said, as long as you are performing with a bit of atmosphere and not in complete silence, you should have nothing to worry about. This is a great purchase that allows, even a beginner, to perform one of the most coolest effects in magic - produce an object(s) then vanish an object(s).

These coins look flawless. Beautifully done, these could be used for so many other silent effects and routines. I appreciate that it’s not just a collection of basic à la carte items gathered together just to sell a single routine. I love that it takes a very little pocket space and can reset so quickly.

I have just received my triad coin set which I have been looking forward to and was not disappointed this is a quality set of gaffed coins and the effect is incredibly easy to do and Josh teaches every thing in explicit detail so this coin set comes highly recommended and also there is a coins across routine taught that is completely examinable.

I’m a rookie, but was actually able to perform this trick reasonably well after about 30-45 min of practice. Great instructional video, and the final vanish was a bonus. (and way easier than “Catch”., which is a good vanish too, but not “easy”). Coin tricks tend to run more price-wise due to the machine work and this one is a great deal and high quality coins. Definitely recommend this regardless of skill level.

This effect is a must have if you are a Joshua Jay fan or magician. It is not just a beautiful routine. It’s also a utility device that can be adapted into many different routines. A beautiful combo I perform with this effect is the glass through table followed by the production then vanish of the triad coins.

This is such an elegant, well thought-out trick, like everything by Joshua. Perfectly explained and filmed in all details. It does need some work and training to make it look as effortlessly like it does with Joshua. But it is well in reach for everybody willing to invest a little time into coin magic. After 30 years of performing magic at fairs here in Tennessee I never realized I could do Coin Magic in a parlor setting. What a GREAT opener. I would advise anyone to go outside the box and perform with these great coins. But like all magic you will need a good patter and some practice. This coin(s) set is exactly as advertised. Quality is excellent in that surfaces cannot be discerned as different from the genuine article. A basic routine is super easy and anyone should be able to perform this; it will be convincing. Video description is excellent. I would consider this set as a true utility device with myriad possibilities. The non-standard configuration of the gadgetry enables novel applications that are easy to construct. Writing as a non-professional, I would give this item my highest recommendation.

The Triad coins and routine are exquisite! The coins are well made and work about a seamless as possible. The routine has been worked and vetted so you get a real polished effect with the optimum sleights and subtleties. First, I'm 77 years old, my magic heroes were like most people my age were, Vernon, Marlo, Jennings, Eugene Berger, Johnny Thompson, Juan Tamariz and many more. My own bench mark was David Ben of Magicana Toronto. I never could quite catch up to him, however I did manage to achieve some notoriety as a quality magician. When I first seen books by Joshua Jay, I thought what can this guy know, he's just a kid, so I avoided his books and tricks.
I know know, that was probably one of the worst mistakes I ever made Sometimes you don't appreciate greatness until you see it. Every now and then a Magician comes along who breaks the boundaries with new thinking and new ideas, sutch a man is Joshua Jay.
His lecture in Toronto on Friday November 11 2022 simply put, was the best lecture I ever attended. My only regret was I did not bring enough cash to purchase more of his products. This was more than just a lecture, it was a stellar performance. I did by the Triad Coins and can say I'm more than pleased with the quality of the coins, his video goes into every minute detail of the handling and offers several other ideas with the coins. Last, all I can say is buy it today.

Very clearly explained technique. I appreciated the additional routine with the normal coins and how they can be used alongside the triad coins. I look forward to trying these out. I have the dollar size and the half-dollar size coins. I save the silver dollars fr the cylinder routine and the smaller coins for strolling. Made very well and a lot of fun to perform with them!

These coins are great, similar gimmicks go for hundreds of dollars. At the price Vanishing Inc is selling this for, it’s a steal. There is so much that can be done with this. I highly recommend getting this.

This is great. I love this. I was looking for something to have several magic moments in one quick routine for my strolling or table hopping gigs and this one is it. Absolutely love it! As someone that's more of a card guy than a coin guy, this is easy enough for me to do and look like I have incredible sleight-of-hand skills with coins.

These are great coins for the price. I use them in my cocktail and table hoping work. There is a slight noise so I wouldn’t use these for a close-up parlour set, but I use these often at corporate events and wedding receptions. Those environments make the slight sound of the coins inaudible. You could always get around that with Teflon tape I suppose, but it’s not necessary for my needs.

I used to do a lot of coin magic when I was in my early twenties. I remember the cigarette thru quarter, the copper silver brass transposition, and I remember owning the hopping half.

I don’t have those coin props anymore. And now 25 years later, I decide to purchase triad coins. It is the greatest. As a magician who just does it for fun,I find every opportunity to perform Triad coins. It’s quick and the person I perform it for smiles and is entertained, and then she goes back to work. That’s right! My audience is just people I come in contact at the store, at the bank, or at the bar.

I miss doing coin magic, and what better way to return to coin magic then to get Triad coins. I don’t need a table. I can just do it right in front of their eyes on the other side of the checkout counter where they stand. Oh! And yes! My triad coins go inside my pro carrier!

I have been doing coin magic for 40 years and never before felt that shells made my routines better. This set is a dream come true! Joshua is a fabulous magician and creator! And the Wizards team is also fabulous!

After the last vanish, I reproduce the coin and then do a "coin to pocket and back to hand" twice to ditch both shells. I then do a single coin flurry ending with a change to a Silver Extraction coin to end the routine. I use an imaginary lighter to heat the Silver Extraction coin before revealing it in my hand.

There is lots of room for interesting story telling with this coin set. My favorite story is about storing my coins in cyber-space. Then for the Silver Extraction coin I just store the silver in cyber-space and keep the transparent coin as a receipt.

Nevertheless some noise could happen so I don't recommend Triad Coins for quiet environments with few people involved (or really close ;)).

Brilliantly executed - the contents are well made, the instructions are to the point and easy enough to rewatch. I don't do a lot of coin work so my assessment may be skewed, but as a closeup option that breaks the card monotony and relies on fairly fundamental sleigh techniques this is an excellent addition to many a repertoire.

The trick is a very good, but the gaffs (50 cent clad halves) are just "ok" at best. So overall, a qualified recommendation, just don't expect much of the gaffs.

This is a well made gimmick and two straight forward routines (three actually if you count the production and vanish as separate routines). The gimmick is simple to use, and Joshua does his usual great job in demonstrating and explaining. While you can do the routines without the Triade coin(s), it does make them much simpler allowing you to focus on interaction with your audience and telling your story. I am glad I own it.

The Triad Coins are well thought out and very well made. I am assuming the gaffed coins are made from real Kennedy Half Dollars but I'm not sure. If they are replicas then that is even more impressive because they look perfect. Joshua Jay's instructional video is professionally shot with clear instructions and good tips. With practice, using the gaffed coins can become fairly quiet.

The best pocket trick. Easy to do. You can produce the coins one by one and then cleanly make them vanish one by one. No awkward moves. Just pure magic. Josh lectures on this in all of his online lectures so I finally decided to buy it. Well worth it.

Routine is great but writing this review to advise it no longer comes with a plastic storage unit as advertised.

It's just a cardboard sleeve and insert. Not a massive issue but was for me as I wanted to be able to store this easily and for transport. As someone who performs in bars and social settings a cardboard sleeve won't last a week.

Coins are really good quality and instructions are short but good, knocking off a star for misleading and copy. Off to look to find a storage solution for my new coinsm

So this is great! I am kind of new in coin magic, and this is just amazing.

Production and vanishing of 3 coins. What else?

Quality of the coins is really good, the ones getting the expensive versions must be pros or something, for the mortals the quality of these triad coins are just perfect. Not saying I am not really intrigued about the quality of the other ones :). Who knows, may end up getting the "upgraded" version at some point in time.

Anyways, so quality is good, teaching is really good too. Exactly how I like it, to the point but covering every single detail.

Things to consider: of course as most coin magic, there are some angles to consider, and some sound to consider/manage as well. So you really need to think about that before performing this effect. You will also need to practice (probably not a lot, and certainly that would depend on how good you want your performance to be looking like). Just saying this is not right out of the box, unless you already have some good experience in coin magic, which in my view, is actually good thing ( I really like the effects you need to put some time to look like a pro -even when you are not one :)).

This effect is pure magic, and yes probably (once mastered) an EDC looking for the right time/place to amaze people.

Seriously, I’ve been performing this everywhere. People are kind of fried by it and break into a strange laughter at the absurdity of seeing three coins appear from nowhere and then watching them all disappear. The last coin vanish I have incorporated in a number of coin routines. The coins are well made and do most of the work for you. People assume you are a master of sleight of hand with coins. Highly recommended!

Amazing trick ! It takes just a little bit of practice to get it perfect and you have to think about angles and sounds but it is easily manageable and the technique is not hard at all. This was my first coin trick ever learned and is a great initiation to it ! It really motivated me to improve my coin technique. Overall very worth the price, you'll have great reactions with the Triad Coins !

This is a great trick. The props are well-made and the technical level, for me, is both challenging & achievable. Josh is also a great teacher. Who knew? Seriously, there’s no b.s. or repetition; just clear concise instructions and subtle tips that are quite useful.

I am more of a magic enthusiast that dabbles in the “amateur magic” professed by such publications as “The Jerx”. I decided to test a theory to great effect at a job that had me patrolling a property. I needed something to help with the arthritis called “Ankylosing Spondylitis” that is greatly affecting my hands, lower back, (well, overall back), etc. I also had my right hand paralyzed by a bad or rushed UltraSound I.V. So I needed something to use for cheap, anytime physical therapy. I love coins. I love coin magic. Bingo! So while doing that… everywhere basically until my hands got so sore I had to be prescribed a medicated prescription in a Trans-Dermal Cream, I had always been interested in “Triad Coins”. Love them!!!!! The result of my theory & tests is that I really think this could be the next “Scotch & Soda” if it is not already. My only gripe at the moment is that the 1st Vanish on my set is a Tails side. It gets either friction-y or caught up on the… gimmick. This and “Inferno” are two J.J. products I purchased and really enjoy! Thank you so much for releasing this amazing idea! I’m sure you did not have to.

Only just getting back into coin magic, and this is as close to the real thing as you can get - still waiting for the actual package to ship, but I’ve watched the video and been practicing the final vanish with a regular coin.

Joshua Jay is a genius. This and Inferno are proof, if needed, that his thinking is second to none.

Love it. Most of my routines currently use some gaff here and there, with an occasional switch but I fool my coworkers with this pretty often. If your not great at sleights, you can pull some pretty fun and entertaining stuff with this. For the price, try it. You'll come up with something I promise.
Plus it's Joshua jay. You know it's gonna pack small and impact big if done well.

Great product but watch the video carefully. If performed as advertised, very wonderful effect, however, is not super sturdy and can bend/dent easily. Personally, not for my gigs, but I did enjoy performing it in a more casual setting.

This is an incredible effect and pretty straight forward to learn. The instructional video is short but straight to the point and the handling is well taught by JJ.
The reason I left a star off was because the gimmick is advertised as being “precision made by hand” - well that’s not true, both shells are uneven around the circumference, as in they wouldn’t sit flush on a level surface. I contacted VI about this and sent photos only to be told that they are all like that, really!?
I bought Triad Coins on a Black Friday deal and I‘ve decided to keep them rather than exchange them, preformed correctly no spectator should be close to examining them anyway, it’s just a shame as I was expecting a better quality product as advertised.

Awesome quality and routines are well-explained. Described in the video are quick and visual coin routines which is exactly what I was looking for when I bought it. The production and vanish routine might actually be a little too clean (I've had some people catch on to how it works because there's literally no other way it could), so in my opinion the coins across routine is the best use for these since they end up with real coins in their hand at the end (you'll have to provide your own additional half dollars for that one). I can also see how these could work for other routines not in the video, like coins through glass. Overall the quality of the coins is pristine and worth the price.

Probably one of the best tricks I've ever bought - gets incredible reactions, you end pretty much clean, and the last vanish absolutely fries everyone including magicians! Really simple, deceptive, easy to do (by coin magic standards, at least...) - thoroughly recommended!

I have used this excellent coin set both at the beginning of my act and also as a closer. It works well in both situations. These coins are so well made and so easy to do that they can be performed almost anywhere that they can fit in an act. The Triad Coins can be used as presented in the tutorial or combined into a longer coin act. These go directly into my EDC kit.

My Coins have an estimated delivery date for 4 days from this post and I'm very excited and can't wait to come back to watch the tutorial again. Prior to watching this and only seeing the video of you doing the trick on outside on the sidewalk I was flabbergasted when you did the last vanish. I could not figure out how the heck you did it. I'll be coming back to post another review after I receive the coins but I know for sure it will be 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.!

Joshua Jay is a genius on a number of levels, and i am continually amazed the more i see, hear or read him. He doesn't baby you and lets you pick it up naturally for yourself. This was the first "hard love" explanation i have seen...but he is right. I appreciate the lattitude.

Many years ago I watched Josh do this trick at a seminar in London. What you see on the video is exactly what you see live. It’s a lovely trick. There is a move in the routine that Josh performs that is completely seamless. Pure skill. So whereas I agree that Triad coins do a lot of the work and it’s relatively easy to learn, if you get the end move down as well as Josh does it, (and it’s not knacky, in fact it’s quite straightforward) then full marks to you!

Joshua Jay's Triad Coins has been a part of my everyday carry since he first shared this beautifully crafted set with the magic community. Imagine, wearing short sleeves, with apparently empty hands, you reach into the air and pluck a half dollar coin from the ether. That one coin becomes two, and then three - three coins glowing at your finger tips. Then, one at a time they completely disappear, leaving your hands genuinely empty. This is just one of the routines that, with ample mirror practice, you'll be performing and carrying with you everyday!

While Scotch & Soda & Dime & Penny are great tricks, Triad Coins blows them out of the water. My handling is usually fair at best, but with about an hour of practice, I felt comfortable enough to perform. It may seem a little pricey, but the coin workmanship is worth it. Easy EDC.

When I saw this routine , I had to get it. I do a few coin moves but never a multiphase routine with coins. Brilliant!!! Brilliant!!! So glad I did I ordered this, with a bit of practice you will be doing an amazing routine! 5 stars. Absolutely worth it - especially, especially if you are just starting out in coin magic. If I were to start over again, I would buy the types of coins I want to use (Half dollars in my case), and a Triad set. Not only will it be a fantastic starting point, you will undoubtedly continue using them for all levels of coin magic. Joshua's tutorials are always fantastic, so you should expect no less here, either. On a minor note, I also really enjoy the specific year that is printed on them, as it makes finding matching coins much easier/cost-effective. Overall, you're getting a top-shelf item made by the best in the industry, taught by the best in the world, at a very reasonable price.

If you are up in the air about buying this or something else, just think about the times you have said "If I could go back, I would have just bought this instead of that/these." This is one of those times!

I can only speak for the quarter version. The super expanded turtle doesn't even look like a US quarter because there is almost zero relief so it looks like a flat metal disc. You have to get pretty close to see the markings that makes it a quarter and in certain lighting it looks like play money.

I recently left a not-so-great review for the US quarter version of these coins. The half dollar version is so much better. They nest nicely and look great.

This is an excellent trick (routine)! Top quality props and excellent tutorial. Easily within reach for a beginner and pros will have fun exploring variations. And the final coin vanish that Josh teaches is worth the price alone. Not exaggerating. The final coin vanish may well solve a problem/challenge you've had with some of your other coin magic. Heck you could just do this move straight up to vanish a coin and be super pleased with the reaction. Finally, this is a wonderful opener for walk around. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this! 5 stars! I love this so much that I believe I'll go ahead and buy the 50 cent version as well. The props are top notch. Your getting what you think you'll be getting if your familiar with these types of coin routines. The instructions are clear and filmed very well. There are some added nuances that really add to the overall effect.

Very good trick. Overall, I was happy with all of the components that came with it, as they were very high quality. The trick itself is easy to do but hard to perfect. The components in this trick can also be used to perform coin flight tricks as well so that is a bonus as well! This is one of the tricks I carry with me everyday!
