One Degree Sampler

I purchased the hardback copy of this book after reading the first chapter (in a free download). I must say that it is a really good book, however don't expect a book full of brand new amazing tricks. The tricks are either updated and re-worked with a smoother or easier method. With that said it is a good introduction into those magic tricks, and after only reading 3-4 tricks I have already started to adapt my own magic and started to create new methods and such for myself. I highly recommend it if you enjoy thinking about magic, if you just want a book and that you can scan for tricks, this isn't the book for you.

I loved this preview of John Guastaferro's book. A lot of interesting takes and updates on effects which has inspired me to relook at some of my older tricks.

This is a great sampler of one degree by John Guastaferro. When you download this you will be getting a fourteen page ebook with the introduction and one effect in it. The effect is a good one and if you are looking to buy one degree you should get this sampler.

This sampler is a concisely written ebook with an impressive introduction and explanation of one trick. Judging by the contents specific to this sampler, I have an understanding that the complete work would be a good addition to a beginner's arsenal. I may consider buying the full book at some time.

With the exciting news that John Guastaferro has a new book on the way AND a reprint of One Degree, I came to this sampler. It made me all the more eager to get my hands on John's books. One effect from One Degree is detailed here, and it's a great one with a clever premise and smart structure that ends with a full deck transformation in a way that leaves you totally clean.

If everything else in One Degree and the forthcoming Nth Degree are even half as strong, these are sure to be indispensable books on my shelf.

What a fantastic sampler of one degree by John Guastaferro! When I Downloaded it, I loved the effect that is explained. The effect is a good one and if you are looking to buy one degree you should get this sampler, as it is for free and is just to wonderfull to be true.

This is a terrific sampler for "One Degree" that includes the table of contents, introduction and description for one card trick. The introduction written by Jack Carpenter provides an excellent overview of the philosophical ideas underlying the .Guastaferro's style of card magic. Laconic, visual, dramatic, creative, and focusing on harnessing an emotional connection with the audience, while not overbearing on the technical side. Some books are meant to be tasted, while others should be devoured from cover to cover. Help yourself!
